The Legend of Dragoon

Wings torn off reminds me of shoulderblades torn off.....

 

"It's okay, that's all in the past now. Don't worry about it."

 

Michael walked into the room.

"Yes, but the past has a nasty way of repeating itself. You are probably seeing visions of the Demonium War."

 

She looks around the church and goes behind the altar. She finds a trick switch and a passageway opens. She goes inside.

 

"That was a bloody war." he said.

 

"Kai turned to Michael.

"When was the war? I kinda forgot......"

 

"Probably a few years before I was born. The Keldon were a fledgling race then. When the humans first saw the keldon, and our healing abilities, they thought we might have the secret of eternal life. The keldon have no such secrets, so we refused. Thus began the inquisions and massacre of my race. We took up arms to defend ourselves, but lost many battles. On the verge of our race's devastation, we beseeched the four wind gods for aid. They fought alongside us and ensured that we would have peace, but in turn, the Keldon were stripped of their wings as payment for the gods aid."

 

"I remember that. It was terrible."

 

"Okay.... I don't remember much when I was 9, all I can remember is the bodies of people covered in blood around me and my hands also covered in blood." Kai looked at her hands.

 

"The remaining keldon live their lives in seclusion, in order to escape the persecution of the humans. Most humans still bear a grudge against my kind, and are hell-bent on the complete elimination of my race. It's barbaric what some people are capable of......"

 

"When you were in my village, Michael, did you hear the legend? That a human who bathes in the blood of a thousand keldon gains the powers of a keldon." Kai looked out her window as she remembered hearing the legend.

 

"Sadly, that is true. However, that power comes at a price. Said person is stripped of their soul, forever to roam the land for the rest of their unnatural life as a demonic killing machine, incapable of showing emotion, or mercy....."

 

Cliff looked down. He remembered what happened, he remembered the keldon he killed. He could never tell them, they would hate him.

 

Kai got up from her bed. "Did you hear of a mass murder a few years back? I remember hearing someone killing a lot of keldon. But why I am visions of the war? I'm so confused."

 

"To be honest, I would rather not speak of this subject further. Brings back too many bad memories."

 

"Yeah....." Kai stretched and turned to Michael. "I'm going out. See ya later in a few hours."

 

"Gives me time to train some of my new abilities. See ya."

OOC: On that note, I have to go too. Until tomorrow...

Kai walked through the snow, looking at the people around her. 'Why can't I remember anything when I was 9, and was there blood on my hands?'

 

.....bathe in blood......whatever you do...don't speak of that agian....reminds me of a horror movie I saw and haven't forgotten because some of it is REAL......
