"Your majesty, can you tell us what happened?" Kai asked, bowing at the king.

 

*Jeraxan teleported into the king's room*
"So.......its supposed to be somewhere around here.........."
*Begins searching around*
"Ah! Here it is!"
*Jeraxan found it in a secret compartment below the bed*
*Jeraxan moves the bed by flipping it over and opens the compartment*
*Jeraxan takes the Moon Orb from the compartment*
"Yes.............here it is............the Moon Orb........."

 

"Wait....he's still here!" Michael ran towards the king's room.

 

"Michael!" Kai ran after him.

 

*Jeraxan used his telekinesis to move the flipped over bed infront of the door*
"That should hold them.........."
*Jeraxan teleported out*

 

Michael sliced through the bed, but Jeraxan was already gone.

"I was too late...." Michael dispelled his sword.

 

Kai sighed, falling to her knees. "Damn....."

 

"Well, now what?"

 

"I don't know, but we can tell the king."

 

"There's nothing else we can do at this point. So let's go."

 

"Yeah." Kai got up and brushed herself off.

 

They informed the king of what happened, then left.

"Why did Jeraxan take that orb?"

One of the castle guards came running and handed Michael a book with keldon writing on the cover.

 

When they got outside, Kai saw a woman walked toward her.

"Hello, Kai...." she whispered.

"Who are you?"

"Someone from your past. When your father died."

Then Kai fell to the ground.

 

Michael shook Kai.

"What's wrong? Come on, wake up."

"Damnit, what the hell's going on?!"

"Don't ask me."

Michael picked her up and carried her back to the inn.

 

'Father....'

Kai moved a little in Michael's arm.

"Michael.....?"

 

"Good, you're ok, but what happened to you?"

 

"That woman I saw. She came to me and said she was someone from my past, when my father died. I saw my hands covered in bloods and the bodies of people around me. But I don't know why."

 

"Try not to think of it now, the answers will come to you in time."

Michael laid Kai on her bed.

"For now, you need your rest. I will be here if you need anything."

He kissed her forehead and started to walk to his room.

 

Kai laid in her room, trying to sleep, but she had a dream that felt more like a memory.

Kai stood in a dungeon, looking for her father. "Father, where are you?"

"Kai?" She heard her father's voice.

Kai ran to a cell and found her father. "Father, you're alright."

"Yes....." Slowly, he got the dagger from her pocket.

"What are you doing.... Father.....?"

"I'm the father of that demon's child. Good-bye, Kai." He stabbed himself through the heart with her dagger.

Kai tried to scream her father's name, but she couldn't. And then she found in the throne room of the castle with Micheal in front of her. She looked at her hands and saw they're covered in blood.

"Do you want your hands covered in the blood of your love?"

"No!"

Kai woke up with a start, and realized it was just a dream.

 

Michael looked at the two books in his possesion.

"The scripture of Galanoth and the Apocrypha of Yzark.....what were humans doing with two of the forbidden keldon tomes?"

"Must have happened during after the Demonium War...."

"But still, what were they doing with a book of forbidden keldon sword techniques and a guidebook to the spectral plane?"

"Guidebook to the spectral plane?! Read that book, my boy. It should help you better understand your power to enter the spectral plane."

"You might be right......for once."

Michael opened the Apocrypha of Yzark and began to read it.
