I was hyped for that game when I saw it in the Game Informer magazine! Freaking awesome. I can't wait until it comes out! But it'll probably be a while, since it didn't even say.

No I have high doubt it'll be dual language now.

After seeing this trailer, I see what they're doing, they're gonna do what Devil May Cry and God Hand has done.

They're going to put the language into English, however have Japanese Subtitles over it, saves alot of time, and money, though this is a guess, until I see a Japanese trailer, however already seeing an english voice actor in this, it's got me thinking htat.

As much as I'd like to pretend that wasn't a possibility, you might be right.

However, if SE does go that route, they're a far much lazier company than I thought they were--and I don't care if they have x number of projects in the works. Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, and several other PS3 titles have already obviously opened their eyes to the capacity of the Blu-ray disc and gone the dual-language route.

I know the Japanese gaming population generally as a whole have an affinity for english voice-overs, but come on. It makes little sense to me to be so haphazard (not to mention take away jobs for Japanese voice actors) by going dual-text, but not dual-audio.

It figures. The moment a simultaneous release arrives, *now* they start to mainstream the North American versions?

I hope Takai isn't a loser and unifies its Dual-Language.

    "A hope" they say.

I suppose that'll have to do for now; still utterly annoyed at the double-standard. They'd suggest giving the option to the Japanese version, but make no mention of the others. XD

True good news, but it seems they're still going on a limb by saying "Likely" I'll still wait till I see a Japanese version of the trailer to fully clarify, the only other time a Japanese trailer was shown, as at the Square-Enix Party, which I believe from reading the description of it, was the same, however instead they had Japanese Subtitles under the text. Because they say how the boy shouts out that word as well. However I'll just wait till I see a more Japanese version of the trailer. Because unlike most of those games that do have Dual, most of them didn't have to worry a lot about lip syncing. In this game, an amount of production time time would have to go towards Lip syncing. That's why Clover kept God Hand with English voice overs, to in a way keep the quality of the game, visually as well as gameplay.

I personally do want Dual-Languae in this game, however lately Square-Enix's productions have been getting a bit lazy.

I agree with you there. I know that because the lip-syncing would have to be altered differently for the Japanese and English voice-overs, not only would the disc have to contain two audio tracks, but two video tracks as well for each scene in the game.

While I know this was a disc space issue for the PS2 era, with blu-ray out of the box, SE no longer has this excuse.

Sue me for bumping this old thread.

Well, at least it's confirmed that Last Remnant will feature both English and Japanese voice-overs. The question now is if the game itself will be dual-language, or are we going to simply have two separate ones (Japanese and English versions) released at the same time? It'd obviously save them production costs to release it as a dual-language, but I can't judge just how much space the game will need--although I'd like to say that the Blu-ray disc can handle it.

I was excited when I saw this in GI, but now it looks even better.

Oh, by the way, that is the awesomest sword ever.
