Sony The Last of Us

Second team doesn't make them any less talented as game creators though. I don't doubt that all of their teams co-operate when planning out, etc. I like that they are making something other than Uncharted as well. I see potential in The Last of Us. Hopefully they can pull it off (I mean, they sure as hell can, it's Naughty Dog.)

 

I must say, I was highly impressed by that trailer. The graphics are beautiful and the music at the end of the VGA trailer is calm. I'm looking very forward for this.

And it really reminded me of I am Alive. I just had that sort of vibe. I also look forward to this.

 

That's not actually what I meant. I meant that, Naughty Dog having two teams, will probably lead them into making more Uncharted games as well. And it also means that I can't use Uncharted 3 as a reason why this game is going to blow, since they actually did not work on it. Or they were not the driving force behind it anyway.

I do have some high hopes for this game though, Naughty Dog has a pretty amazing track record and shizz.

 

What what I've seen, it seems that they're going the ARG route for advertising this thing, what with that first trailer and that video that was found on the website. If they're promoting it like that, I'm sure it'll be great.

 

Ah, am I the only one a bit amused that the girl is named "Ellie" and that she looks a lot like Ellen Page? I guess I am.

Anyway, the trailer looks amazing. And an interesting note:

Ellie states that the man within the trailer that the streets had people thriving in it. And the streets look like they've been taken over by plant life a lot. So it must of been years...since the first "outbreak"

It also gives me the idea that she was born within the timeframe of the first outbreak.

 

Well, it reminds me a bit of I Am Legend.

It's clear from the narration at the end that this world has been post-apocalyptic for quite some time, and I just hope that this game doesn't turn out to be a let down. I can see plenty of potential depending on where Naughty Dog chooses to take it story-wise.

 

Looks like Nathan Drake and his daughter. Won't be surprising since this outbreak was hinted in Uncharted 3. Or this could just be in the same universe.

 

It will be interesting to see what Naughty Dog can do to reinvigorate the survival horror genre. After the Uncharted series though I have absolute confidence in them. I could see how a story could work between the two characters.
