Your scene selections were a little weird. Try doing some more lyric sync(fairly straightforward; you show a scene of what the lyrics are saying) because some of the scenes that you used just looked like they were there to fill up space. I have no clue why Sephiroth popped up in the video to be honest. It didn't make sense. And don't abuse effects, they are meant to complement the video; they don't make the video. Try out some beat sync as well. Try transitioning to other scenes on a beat or using a flash.

I'm thinking early-to-mid August. So you should have some time to edit the video a little more if you want to when you come back.

Compared to the last one, yes it is better. I suggest trying out beat sync in your videos though. By that I mean that you should make something happen or change during the beats and/or prominent notes of a song.

It think it's good. Much better than I can do(no duh), but is that your part or just the opening to the video?

 

It will be both my part and the intro after I put the text on it. I decided to throw out the other part that I made because I don't want to take up too much space in the MEP. So I decided to just make my part the intro C:

 

I just finished my part today. The timing is off at the end and the song seems a bit choppy, but after two renders of eight minutes a piece, i'll leave it alone for now. I may or may not fix it later.

Looking pretty good in my opinion. What song did you use? It looks like you changed from the one you originally selected. Or is it still the same one?

 

Same song. To The Stage by Asking Alexandria.

The part of the song I used (non screamo and non cursing) was the part near the very end. That may be why you don't recognize it. Originally I was going to use another part before it, but decided to just apologize in the form of song. X)

 

how did you do that with the numbers on the screen? Is that an effect used from Vegas?

 

It's not an effect that you can find in Vegas. You either have to find stock footage like that on the internet or make it yourself.

Well you don't necessary have to do them at the same time. You're suppose to find a balance. You'd focus more on beat sync during the instrumental part of a song for example while during the lyrics, you would focus more on the lyrics. Or you could do both. An example of doing both would be to use multiple scenes relating to what is being said in the lyrics and you would transition between them with an effect such as a flash.

Me likes :B. I liked the simple editing style that you used through out the video and how some of the scenes flowed together very well.

The people who are still working on their parts. Try to keep me updated on how all of you are doing.

 

I'm done my part, but everytime I render my video the quality of the clips is absolute crap. :( *sigh* Maybe I'll try rendering it in a different type of file this time. But aside from that, my part is looking awesome! According to my sister, it's my best video yet. And that is a HUGE compliment from her. :D

What are your render settings && what software are you using?

 

I'm using Cyberlink Powerdirector and I've been rendering it in an AVI file.

 

With what codec? Frame resolution? You could be more detailed.

 

Is this more or less what it looks like?

 

Try rendering it to .mp4
From what I've seen so far, it keeps good quality and fairly small filesize.
