And there are plenty of theories suggesting that he actually became a Xehanort when he saved Sora in DDD

 

Those theories are dumb

 

I miss when KH was a simple silly crossover about a kid going on an adventure through the Disney canon. :\

 

Ugh, that exam was rather terrible, especially the multiple choice questions. "How many belts and zippers does Nomura think about when designing a KH character" was not even on the review.

 

I think the bigger problem was that all of the options on the multiple choice were 'Xehanort'

 

It was simple! Ansem was a dude who wanted Kingdom Hearts because he thought it lead to ultimate darkness or something. And Kingdom Hearts was basically the heart of all worlds.

...Remember when Ansem in the first game was Ansem and not the heartless of a guy who was possessed by another guy?

 

Not the question that asked "Which characters are Xehanort?"
I circled all of them. I am certain that is the only question I have correct on the exam.

 

Well he was always the heartless of someone else, and DiZ was in CoM, so he was still a heartless of someone else who just randomly changed his name

 

Well yeah, but I'm talking about before the sequel games where all we knew about him was he was a guy called Ansem and he wanted Kingdom Hearts because so it could fill him with the power of darkness.
