Well, I made a new topic.
Yet people are saying, why did you write down, so they can get the keyblade? (The real reason)
Sephiroth once said to Sora, "Maybe the keyblade will change its master, once I defeat you."
    Or, something along the lines.
Is this true? If you defeat a keyblade wielder, do you get the keyblade?
Or am I just ignorant of the entire topic on the keyblade?

no. sephiroth is all darkness and no light so theres no way the keyblade would choose him even if he did defeat him.

exactly. the keyblade can "think" for itself. and it wouldn't choose someone evil just cuz he defeated the person weilding it atm.

In kingdom hearts 1, Yuffie says The keyblade Chooses its master.

He said "I wonder if it won't change it's mind", meaning that maybe the Keyblade will think Sora is too weak and disappear, not that he would get it. Besides, it's probably weaker than his sword anyways, despite what Sora does to Sephiroth.

Just so you guys know the keyblade chooses off of strength of heart. Not whether you are good or evil.

That being said if someone is dead they obviously can't wield a keyblade. So theoretically if you went and killed every keybearer you saw the keyblade would choose you eventually because you killed off people with stronger hearts. Though if you could do that then I doubt having a keyblade would matter to you because you are already so powerful.

And Sephiroth strikes me as having a strong body but not heart IMO so that could take a while.

Bolded part does not include Possesed Riku in KH1. But in a way he's a special case. And not all Keyblades from the Realm of Light, it's just that the Keyblades we've known so far are.

I still deisagree with the light portion. First riku has a keyblade but also plenty of darkness in his heart. And second Triton is quoted as saying "The key bearer shatters peace and brings ruin." Who ever the key bearer was that Triton met was obviously not of the light.

He could have misinterpereted what they did. He might not of, but the person doing so could have been confused or could have been being mind controlled. If they were confused and thought it was for noble reasons, they thought they were still doing it for the light probably and so they still had light in there heart. If they were being mind controlled, they could still have light in there heart maybe because they are not doing so on there own free will and might not be considerd that evil.

I'm not saying that the whole light thing isn't true. I'm just saying that with the info we have there isn't reason to think it is true either. In my personal opinion I don't think your morality is a factor but it has yet to be solidly stated either way.

they said that Riku was supposed to be the keyblade weilder, but he succumbed to darkness, and was corrupt. thats why he still had a keyblade in KHII because of the mix of dark and light. Sora wasnt as strong as Riku, but he wasnt taken by darkness so he was their backup so to speak

Yes but caving into the darkness also shows weakness in your heart.

Riku at that time wanted to get off the island and didn't care about the cost so he embraced the darkness so it wouldn't destroy him while Sora fought against it. So at that time the ownership of the keyblade switched.

but doesnt ds have a keyblade. as its been said. ds is a monster infused with the darkness. so i wouldnt think they choose light over dark.
