The Keyblade War: the Awakening of a Solemn Melody

With the rise of chatter within the throne room it seemed to awake the emperor who sensed something was up. The emperor wasn't really that old actually in appearance even though people said he has been around for nearly 400 years, he looked middle aged with ginger that hung beneath his chin in length and a chin full of a rough stubble, suggesting that he had shaved no too long before. His green eyes eyed Phisoxa as she entered and she kneel in front of his throne. As she did the knight who had been standing around at the Emperor's side eyed her quietly, his face still serious but his eyes showed a look of a man observing a good looking girl, but then he turned his eyes away and went back to his serious look trying to retain his composure. On the lefthand side of the Emperor's throne sat a handsome nobleman who looked equal in age to the knight nearby. Phisoxa was to focused on the Emperor to give either of them a glance.
" Your Majesty I, Phisoxa Mindell have faired well on the trek from the Academy of Light, it seems it has already become eclipsed and there is not many I could save, not even my own master. . . Master Westus."
Phisoxa said as a small tear dripped and spotted the smooth surface of the granite tile below her feet.
The wise Emperor sighed sadly almost as took his glass of wine and took a sip of it.
" We have lost so many masters as of late, I am beginning to worry if the age of the keyblade is going to disappear as well."

 

Mixt returned to staring at the ceiling, reflecting over his encounter with this Rould chacter. After a few minutes a nurse came in.

"Before we take you to your room I need to bandage you up. The antiseptics will sting but please try and keep still."

Mixt nodded. The medication did hurt but Mixt just tightened his muscles up, hardly moving at all except when instructed to.

"Alright. I'll take you to your room. Can you walk?"

"It took some assistance to get here, but I'm feeling better now. I should be fine."

"Okay. Follow me." she said and lead him across the hospital to his new room. Once Mixt was situated she said. "A doctor should be in here soon for an official evaluation, but you look to be in decent shape to me. You should be able to leave shortly"

 

" We will speak about this over dinner my dear, right now, I will allow you and your friend to rest and mourn for your losses. You are welcome to stay at my palace tonight."
The Emperor said as he referred to his noble adviser.

 

"Acording to Tohemi company, many of their advanced technologies are being selled of to indpendant worlds that are on the existence border between light and darkness, if this is any sign we need to improve our relation with the company and other indapendant worlds or a war will break out" A council member said to the Emperor "The CEO is you mentor after all sir/"

 

" Alright, go ahead, I would wish to speak with their CEO as well tonight at dinner or anytime soon would be nice. Maybe we can arrange some things. I shall prepare for dinner"
He said as he left the room, leaving Phisoxa alone with the other people in the room, soon the nobles left too leaving Phisoxa, Mike, a few council members and the handsome nobleman. With that done Phisoxa felt accomplished, but that only left her to think about other things now, things she didn't want to think about. Suddenly Phisoxa sunk to her knees at the foot of the throne with a sorrow stricken look on her face, she didn't want to cry, but she had a feeling this was the only time she could truly every again. She hunched over on the ground sobbing silently.

 

The nobleman came up to Phisoxa and Mike. "You two come with me" he said to them.

 

"What the hell?" Isaac came down and crouched down beside him.

Morgana was poking Robbie with the blunt end of her naginata. "Hey, you know this ******?"

"Huh... he looks familiar... and would you please stop calling people names?" Isaac was getting fed up with her name calling.

"Well, I don't see how you're gonna do anything about it, Captain Sensitive." Morgana was still poking at Robbie.

"Hey, you think we should help him?" Ashley came over and looked at him. "I mean, he doesn't seem hurt."

"I don't know, I'm getting weird vibes from this guy," Isaac said poking him with his finger.

"Well... the Imperial Capital is closer to the base of the mountain than Ryukahn, you wanna bring this kid over there?" Ashley looked up at Morgana.

"Meh, just leave him be, I'm sure sooner or later he'll wake up." Morgana planted her naginata into the ground next to Robbie.

"I got a better idea, let's just bring him to the edge of town and ditch him there." Isaac interjected. Ashley, unamused by Isaac, punched him in the head.

"Dumba**," She said with her fist in the air.

"Hey, best idea I've heard all day," Morgana said grabbing Robbie by the collar. She moved quickly, jumping great distances towards the Imperial Capital. Once she reached the border she just dropped him there and went back to the others, both of whom were in shock from what they just witnessed. "What?"

"You're just full of tact, aren't you?" Isaac asked in a rhetorical manner.

 

"Ow" Robbie said as he regained feeling in his body "I see, heartless gained a new meaning" he started getting up and started wiping the darkness of his clothes. "Damn, I need a new outfit" He said looking at all the darkness on him.

 

Phisoxa got up off the ground wiping away tears as she proceeded to follow the nobleman.
" So where are we going? Why should I be following you?"

 

"So what, we gonna chat all day or are we gonna finish this fight, momma's boy?" Morgana shrugged her shoulder's tauntingly at Isaac.

"Hmph, are really intent on finishing this battle?" Isaac scratched his head.

"What, scare you gonna lose, sissy?" Morgana brought up her weapon and pointed the blade at Isaac's face.

Unaffected by her words and her taunts, Isaac lifted up his blade. "Fine, if you're really going to insist, but from this point on, I will fight without being emotionally compromised. I will fight to the best of my ability."

"Just what I wanted to hear!" Both Morgana and Isaac jumped away from each other and started casting spells with a frantic haste. Fire and ice flying all over the place, the ground shaking underneath, tornadoes violently erupting all around. A battle between extremely skilled mages. Ashley watched on in awe as the battle raged on.

 

Robbie looked back in the direction he landed in before. "Oh I hope I hit" he said as he jumped in the air. He landed right in the same spot as before, but as he landed he formed Silvern into a sythe.

"Oh because you, ah um, nedd better clothing, you can't be expected to wear that all the time and a fi- nice looking girl like you needs to look the part, ecpesially if you want to be a knight" he said to Phisoxa.

 

" Whats up with a schoolgirl uniform? It's better then those rags the peasants wear in the streets. Anyways nobody complained to me one bit on the way here about how I am dressed. Anyways, how the hell do you know I want to become a knight and plus I'm becoming a knight ?! Since when did I approve of this? I barely just got here and they want to make me a knight?!"
Phisoxa said looking confused.

 

Mixt waited several more minutes before a doctor finally arived. After doing several tests in standard procedure it seemed that the doctor came to the same conclusion the nurse did. "It seems you're lucky. You're in pretty good shape. Aside from the cuts and bruises there is nothing wrong with you that a good meal and some rest can't fix. Just don't go exerting yourself until then. As a refugee this visit is at no expense to you. If you do find any persisting symptoms though, be sure to come back here."

Mixt nodded in understanding as he got to his feet. "Thank you doctor" he said simply and they both left the room. As Mixt left he found a kiosk in the lobby that had maps and he took one. Looking it over it didn't take him long to get his barrings. The palace was easily the largest building on the map, and the hospital was marked on the map. At that Mixt walked off to get to his destination, a meeting at the palace by invitation of Rould.

 

"Forgive the misunderstanding, most students at the acedamey want to be knights, one side or another. You have the eys of a knigth so I just assumed. They arn't making you a knight, but even male knights have to have a sense of elegence" The boble said.

 

Phisoxa sulked as he said that, bummed that he had just made a mistake.
" Anyways what knight would run around in a schoolgirl uniform, you must have thought of that, plus there's no female knights on the top rank or the council. So is this dinner really that big in order for me to change into something proper? Anyways what is your name? You barely even introduced yourself and you are already looking me over like a prized possession or something, don't think I haven't noticed."

 

Morgana and Isaac were both absorbed in their battle of magic and blades. They didn't pay any mind to the fact that the kid who fell there before came back, they just kept going at it, continually using higher ranked spells.

"You know kid, I gotta admit, you're pretty good." Morgana let out as they clashed weapons.

"So, you finally respect me enough to stop callin' me names?" Isaac said as he pushed her back and charged in again only to be blocked by her weapon.

"Not even close, sorcerer wannabe!" Morgana flew backwards and started casting a spell by putting her hands together in front of her. "So, you say you're a powerful magician, huh? Well, let's see how you fare against one of my more powerful spells." Soon after she said that, glyphs started to appear behind her and on her hands as the clouds in the sky became dark and started to converge in around her.

"Oh, you think you got me beat, huh? We'll see about that!" Isaac crossed his arms in front of his chest as Mutsunokami rotated in the air around him. Glyphs appeared beneath him and lightning emerged from four points of the glyph and joined together above his head, resembling a pyramid.

"He he he, this is the most fun I've had ever! Now see if you can handle this, Maelstrom!" A powerful swirl of energy and wind crashed down in front of Isaac and was about to charge at him.

"Oh yeah? Try this on for size, Starfall!" Isaac uncrossed his arms as a meteor emerged from the clouds above and was about to crash into Morgana. Morgana erected a barrier and tried to force it back as Isaac did the same against the Maelstrom that was coming his way.

Ashley had surrounded herself with several barriers to avoid being hit by anything that might come flying at her from their clash of magical force.

 

The hour had grown late as a battered ship, border lining being totaled made a sketchy landing on Janina. As one could have expected, the site of it was enough to draw attention to the managers of the landing port. Even though it was one of many other damaged vessels making hasty arrivals, it was still, in the minds of the port staff, occupied by at least one person that needed help in lieu of The Academy’s fall.

Arriving to the sight of a small mass of ten, perhaps fifteen officials, Diuccio was the first person to de-board the ship. He lingered down the ramp with a bit of a limp, and his hands clutching at the right side of his torso, where in injury had been dealt to him in his escape. He was shocked to find out that news of The Academy’s fate had spread so fast, and aroused such attention in such a short period of time. He was even more shocked to find himself immediately flanked by medics, and someone who claimed himself a “counselor†to deal with any trauma that had been done. In an instinctual action, brought about by the teacher in him, he pushed the medics and the counselor away from his personal bubble. “I’ll be good with a bit of rest,†he said as he pointed back towards the ship’s ramp. “If you need someone to counsel and treat, they’re the ones that need it most.

Slouching from the vessel at a hesitant snail’s pace, and with looks of utter disbelief smudged messily across their faces, a group of five young apprentices followed down in Diuccio’s wake. The five of them were essentially unscathed, as a result of Diuccio’s relentless guard of them while they fled to the ship. But their minds and hearts had been scarred from witnessing the defeats of their masters at the hands of the Darkness. Voice shaking, Diuccio explained what had happened with the five, and a bit of what had happened to him as well. I spoke of the apprentices rushing to him screaming of their masters who had apparently been killed, how he had stepped in to get them aboard their ship, and how the ship itself had barely made it through the Academy’s destruction, let alone the warp jump to Janina.

“So, they’re the ones that need help,†he stated redundantly. I won’t fight going to the hospital. But I don’t need someone taking care of me from head to toe. Just need a bandage, maybe some food and definitely rest. But other than that, I should be fine. Just make sure the kids get good treatment.†By that time, another transport had arrived, this one meant to get Diuccio and the apprentices to the hospital. Despite his best efforts, Di found himself shoved into the transport and placed down in a mobile hospital bed. “I said not to worry about me,†he said in complaint as he rose from the bed. “Didn’t I say that --.†He was cut off be the force of a Light military officer pushing him back down into the bed.

“If it were up to me you’d be walking, considering your talk,†the official said. “But procedures are clear to me: we’re not to leave anyone who’s been injured to fend for themselves. Apparently someone up top wants the survivors from The Academy in one piece. And by the way, I’m obligated to inform you that you’re presence, Junior Master Diuccio Guerrio,†is requested at the seat of power, once you’ve been treated properly.â€

“What for?â€

“No clue. I’m just the messenger. Someone up high wants to meet with people like you. I guess this whole Academy thing has gotten everyone on edge, or something. I’ve been hearing rumors of crazy things, like conspiracy and whatnot. But who the hell knows? Am I right? But anyways, you need rest, and these five students need some counseling. So don’t think about skipping on over to the capitol before you’ve been cleared by doctors. Otherwise, it’s their jobs on the line. Got it.â€

“Fine,†Diucio said in disappointment. There was still so much left to do and figure out, and he had to wait for an indeterminable amount of time in a bed.â€​

 

"How did this turn out?" Robbie asked the girl behined the barriers.

"What I wasn't doing that, for someone who assumes alot, you seem to think bad of everyone else" The noble said.

 

" Don't lie to me, Its quite obvious, I know that look from experiencing highschool boys. Apparently adult men aren't that different no matter how much of noble blood they are, actually I think noble men are just as bad. So. . what is you name?"
She said teasing him.

 

"Uhh... Quite unexpectedly... But, it was spectacular to say the least." Ashley was completely astonished as they had both repelled the magic spells that they cast. The barriers dropped as the battle had momentarily stopped.

Isaac and Morgana were breathing heavily and they were both on one knee. They looked at each other and forced their bodies to get up. "Damn, I've never seen someone reflect a spell that powerful before." He put his right hand on his left shoulder as he moved his arm around.

"The same could be said about you," Morgana snickered a little bit.

"Ya know, I never got your name..." Isaac tried to keep himself standing, his whole body shaking from the strain.

"It's Morgana, Morgana Telos. So then, how 'bout your name, what is it?" Morgana had an easier time standing up since she was already used to casting powerful spells that takes her own energy to cast.

"Hah, my name's Isaac Hewley." He dropped back down to one knee as the clouds overhead cleared away to reveal the sky once again. Morgana walked over to him and lent him a hand to help him stand up. "Thanks, Morgana."

"Don't get too carried away, boy," She said jokingly as Isaac got up. "Ashley, come over here and heal us, would ya?"

"Yeah... right." Ashley walked over and cast Curaga on both of them. "That was amazing, I've never seen magic that powerful. I mean, looked around, you guys." The battlefield around them at the base of the Ryukahn Mountain range was damaged beyond all recognition, earthen spires all over the place, cracks in the ground leading all over the place, dust going all over the place.

"Huh... damn, I guess our battle must've taken it's toll, huh?" Isaac taking in the view of the aftermath of their battle.

"That just goes to show how fun that battle was." Morgana said sitting down, grabbing a cigarette from her back pocket and lighting it.

"You know, I really wish you wouldn't smoke, Morgana." Ashley finished healing both of them already.

"Yeah? Well I don't like it when I buy you drinks when you're in a depressed state, but you don't see me complaining about it." She didn't even look at Ashley as she took a drag from her cigarette.

"Shut up, you know that I don't like it when you talk about that, especially in front of other people."

"Then don't complain about my smoking," Morgana said as she blew out rings of smoke.
