The Keyblade War: the Awakening of a Solemn Melody

Mixt sat down on a rooftop where he couldn't be easily seen and started meditating. He had used the energy before on instinct, now it was time to learn how to channel it. Mixt focused on the flow of energy through him, following his veins as it became more focused and organized. Thinking about the academy roof where it all began Mixt suddenly opened his eyes and stretched his palm out in front of him and let some of the energy out.

 

In front of Mixt a portal opened, though it was unstable. The portal smelledd of darkness.

 

Phisoxa kept walking and suddenly she tripped over a loose rock on the pavement and tripped, face-planting on the ground and then she sprung herself off the ground and dusted herself off.
" Damn I have a hell of a time seeing in the dark sometimes. . . I don't know why. . . wait. . . that is what I have been forgetting where is Dante?!"
Phisoxa said looking around.

 

Noting that it was unstable Mixt stood up and ran through before it could collapse.

 

Mixt was swallowed by chaotic energies. All sense of time was lost with in the portal, eventually the energy died down as Mixt was left on the ground in the middle of a familair massive hall, like a dinning hall. All around Mixt the laws of physics where being twisted by the dark energies.

 

Mixt held his head as he got up, looking around. "I'll need to work on that later." Noting he was in the dining hall, Mixt walked off going to the arena, or more specifically the arena's roof.

 

" I guess he's experienced he will find his own way out of the city."
Phisoxa said as she turned away and was about to run off but all the sudden something stopped her from doing so as she stopped running.
" You know . . . something's telling me that we can't . . . leave Dante here."
Phisoxa said changing her mind quickly and that wasn't normal of Phisoxa as she turned away and ran off into the darkness of the streets where they had run from earlier. She was going back towards the threat without thinking. As she ran she shouted for Dante.

 

Around Phisoxa stun mahic started raining down on the street, mainly aimed at her but almost anyone in the street was hit.

The roof of the arena showed Mixt the state of the academy, it was caught in a constant storm of darkness, the darkness bent the laws of Physics and twisted parts of the academy. Around Mixt the sound of millions of whispers engulfed him.

 

Phisoxa was confused as to what was going on but she continued to run, something in the back of her mind was tugging at her judgment, she had to find Dante above all.
" Dante !!"
Phisoxa said as she ran back into the area where the Raven's Roost inn was but now it was just a pile of rubble.
" what happened?"

 

Mixt closed his eyes and started listening to the whispers but making anything out amongst all of the was very difficult. "Why ask me to return here? To this barren land?"

 

"It fell apart" A female voice said to Phisoxa.

The darkness around Mixt seemed to be random in which direction it was flowing, but it had a path threw the academy that it followed.

“He must still be asleep, I guess.â€

Diuccio’s eyes came open; his slumber disturbed by the sound a cackling voice speaking out beyond the darkness of his closed eyes. Yet even when he opened them, all he could see was an endless veil as black as the midnight sky blanketing his vision from anything that might have been. Perhaps, he considered, he had gone blind somewhere along the way, though how that could have happened when is wounds were centered to his chest and arms, he had no clue. When he considered his inability to see, despite clearly being someplace where there should have been something to see, then it was more than possible that something had happened to his eyesight in the journey from the landing strip to the Janina Infirmary. Maybe, he thought in slight grudge, they slipped me some bad meds, or something. Unless of course I’m not even at the Infirmary, or even in Janina; but in that case, where the hell am I now?

“Oh.†Another cackling voice rang out through the pitch black, as though trying to get the other one’s attentions. “He’s awake now, you see? You see?â€

“Yes,†said the first voice. “Yes, I see. But where will he go now?â€

“Hello?†Diuccio called to the voices. As unsavory as their cackling words sounded, he had no choice but to take a chance in trusting that they might be able to help him. However, it came to no avail, as the voices, or the people who had them, if there were any, ignored him in their next banter.

“Well, he certainly won’t be staying here, once he gets better.â€

“Yes. But then, where would he go from here? Perhaps…â€

“To the Shadowlands?â€

“Oh yes! He’ll most certainly want to go there. He’s much purpose in it, and so much like those people. And his type end up there anyways, one way or another.â€

Di had had with the disembodied voices. They were talking about him; he knew they were, that they had to be talking about him. Yet even at that, they seemed to refuse talking to him. But he would get their attention one way or another. “Oi!†He bellowed. “Whoever you are out there, you sure as hell better show yourself! I swear if I find you, I won’t be a happy camper. You’ve got till three, and I’m gonna knock you!â€

“Oh. Such strong talk,†the first voice jeered.

“Well,†said the second voice in harmony with the first, “we better show ourselves. We don’t want to get knocked. Do we?â€

To his discomfort, and at the same time his relief, Di saw before him a pair of bright yellow eyes, staring from the darkness. “Who are you?†he asked forcefully. He received no words in reply, no jeers or even an evasive statement off the matter. What he did get was a bright flash as the two pairs of eyes merged together, glowing brighter, and whiter as they rushed towards his face. Suddenly, he was enveloped not by darkness, but a light that was blinding his ability to see with a purely white veil. With a subtle curse spitting from his mouth, he watched as the light itself faded, bringing a real sight into his vision.

He was laying in a hospital bed, his eyes slightly dimmed from drowsiness that had overcome him in his sleep. He wondered how long he had been out for. He didn’t even remember coming into the infirmary, let alone even being put into a bed. He looked around the room as best as his injury and his back-laid position allowed him to. His was a small room, enough room only for his bedding, and a few machines for monitoring his condition. Off to his left, there was a small bathroom space for his personal use, once he was well enough to be allowed up to use them. The light entering through the small window above his bed told him it was around midday, and he assumed the day before had been when he landed, and that he had only been out for about twelve hours at best.

He then noticed something that, for whatever reason, he didn’t notice before. On his right side, aimed over the spot just below his right pectoral, where a heartless had pierced his skin, was a narrow, crystalline tube. Through this tube, a bright beam of light was focused in a laser point, streaming onto where the wound was, and even into his body. Around where the wound was, he noticed a char-like marking, a completely black spot that hadn’t been there before. “Darkness,†he muttered as a nurse entered his room.​

((If it’s not too much to ask, I could certainly use someone to NPC the nurse, and maybe just bring someone nameless face my way to help me get back on track with this. I'd play the character myself, but I'm really not up to RPing a thousand words of interacting with NPCs)).

 

Mike ran up behind Phisoxa, looking at the Raven's Roost..or the remnants of it, his mouth opening up wide. "Holy-" he muttered.

 

Phisoxa heard a voice carry on the wind nearby and she turned to find the source of it.
" Who's there? Show yourself !!!"
The young woman said as she summoned her keyblade.

 

A Female knight in red armor landed infront of Phisoxa, her armor was different from the ones knight of the Light used. Around Phisoxa and Mike soldiers surrounded them, they wore the same uniform as those that assinated the emperor. "I did" the Female knight said.

 

Mixt stood in front of the stream of darkness. It seemed that there were choices to be made past that of light and darkness. Was it more important to find the source or find the goal? Shaking his head Mixt walked into the stream of darkness and pulled up the hood of the cloak to keep the wind off of his face. He would first find the destination of the darkness, that should be easier of the paths to start out with. In time he would find the answers, for now he just needed one step at a time.

 

The darkness sucked Mixt in like a falling into water, It carried him threw the academy until he came to one of the dorms, where a massive black and blue crystal had formed, it was the center of the darkness that had consumed the world.

 

"Crystalized Darkness..." Mixt commented in awe. What could of caused such a structure to form. Was this the reason the darkness fell on the academy? Or was it simply a side effect. As marvelous a structure as it was Mixt couldn't resist taking a sample to study. Mixt reached out and grabbed a shard to break it off for a closer look.

 

The nurse looked over at Diuccio as she entered the room, "Oh your awake, how are you feeling?" she asked as she looked at all the monitoring equipment.

The sample seemed to create a perfect diamoind shape as Mixt seperated it from the main crystal.

Mixt put the gem n his pocket to study more in more controlled conditions, such as when the laws of physics weren't fluctuating. "So why did you bring me here? Is this what you wanted me to see, or was there something more?" Mixt said, not bothering to keep it in his head since he was alone.
