The Keyblade War: the Awakening of a Solemn Melody

Gexln saw that Mike was staring at a painting. "Something caught your eye?" he asked curiously.

OOC: Sorry for the short post. I really didn't know what to post lol

 

"W-what? Oh, no, just looking around, considering last night wasn't much of a relaxation." Mike said casually, looking back at Gexln. "But I doubt we'll get any relaxation anytime soon, with the 'stirring' of events." he stated, tapping his feet under the table.

 

"It's not necessarily a bad thing that it feels unusual. I quite like the different turn of events....you know, aside from the Academy being destroyed" he stated. He looked down at his blade, which he had been carrying around with him for quite some time and was now sitting underneath the table. Soon..soon you shall be used he thought to himself.

 

Morgana and Isaac just looked at each other, smoke wavering out of Morgana's mouth. They both just stared at each other for sometime, blank expressions on their faces.

"Uhh... guys?" Ashley looked at both of them, trying to get their attention.

Suddenly, they both looked at Ashley and said in unison, "Hey, which one of us is stronger?" Angry looks came over their faces as they asked her.

"What?! Why are you guys asking me?"

"You watched our battle, so who's stronger?"

"Yeah! Who's stronger, me or the momma's boy?"

"Again with the names!"

"Don't get snippy with me boy, you only got lucky when you deflected my attack!"

"That a fact, ya hussy?!"

"Hussy?! Oh, you're gonna get it now"

"Bring it on, witch!"

"Oh crap, they're gonna go at it again."

 

"Enough!" Robbie yelled at the two of them "Being strong does not mean soley physical strength, that includes keeping a level head and being able to proparly think under preassure, Also keeping a restraint on your powers counts as well, so who is the strongest?"

 

After a short tussle, they stopped, and looked at Robbie. "Uh... so... Run that by me again dark boy?"

"You're joking, right?"

"Hell no, I'm not joking. I didn't hear him."

Isaac slapped his hand onto his face, "Jeez, how the hell did I get involved with you in the first place?"

Morgana just shot him a dirty look as she pulled out another cigarette and lit it.

 

"Ok, stay calm with your mind set, ok A level head,thinking well under pressure and restraint is what I'm looking for, not raw strength" Robbie said to them, implying they were dimwitted.

 

We'll see about that.. he thought, looking down at the ground. The war of light and dark, it's either here, or really close. I want to start out fresh..find which side I should really be fighting for..light..or dark..? he pondered on many thoughts like these, occasionally glancing up at Gexln.

 

Phisoxa ventured towards the middle of the dining room where Rould met up with her. He smiled at her and put his hand on her shoulder.
" I think it is about time to give you news on our first mission. We are to venture to the shadow lands or othrwise the terrotories of the dark residents to spy and perhaps gather some imformation to see whether or not they are intending to take a chance at attacking us or not and how large their numbers may be. We will masquerade as one of their kind so it would be easier to maneuver around without being snuffed out. As for your companions who accompanied you from the school, the council recognizes them as warriors now so they can come with us if they wish. You hear that, if you want you gentlmen can come along with us to attend Phisoxa on her first mission since there isn't much else for you to do."
Rould said directly to the young men.
"Lord Victor Norman shall also be accompanying us, you know him, he was the one sitting at the table for brunch earlier. Hes coming along to help us along the way."
Rould said as the man with the serious expression from before came up from behind him, he already had his traveling cloak on and things ready to go. A few servants ventured in carrying traveling cloaks, and individual traveling and messenger bags filled with provisions and tools they would need along the way.

 

Mike turned in his chair, seeing several people with traveling cloaks on. Among those people, even though she was not wearing a traveling cloak, was Phisoxa. Mike raised his eyebrow, and also noticed that thing that looked like a badge on her. Wait shes a knight..or a trainer knight..or something? She's ditching us already? he thought, asking himself many questions, sighing and turning back toward Gexln, trying not to make it seem like Mike was gawking.

 

Phisoxa swung on her traveling cloak, hiding her badge underneath as she took three of the spare traveling cloaks and packs and handed them to Mike, Gexln, and Mixt.
" You can come with us on my first mission as a council member in training, we are going to travel to the shadowlands to seek out some information."

 

Gexln put on one of the travelling cloaks. The shadowlands....it sounds interesting and dangerous...just how i like it he thought to himself. "Council member? I would prefer the title of a guard to be honest" he stated.

 

" Don't worry, you will just be a fellow warrior, I'm the one in training here so I'm the one who will have to deal with the more complicated task of fitting into the council, you guys are free to do what you wish."
Phisoxa said with a smile as she stuffed the contents of the traveling pack into her messenger bag she had already from school and slung it across her chest.Phisoxa spotted Dante the wealthy landowner's son joining in as well so she gave him a cloak and a pack. She waited for everyone to suit up as the two council knights Rould and Victor walked out into hallway as Phisoxa lead the others and followed after them. The two knights lead the group till they entered a large white room, that unlike the regal oldworld insides of the castle, had a high tech interior, with screens lining the room and on the far side of the room stood a large metal door that was large enough for a giant to pass through.

Victor the tall, heavily built and stone faced knight walked towards the door and took out his keyblade which was pretty large compared to other keyblades but he carried it as if it weighed nothing more then a feather. He raised in the air as the others neared and suddenly the background behind them was nothing but darkness as he pointed the weapon in the sky, the door in front of them was all that stood out in the darkness as Victor then took his heavy looking keyblade and pointed it at the keyhole that sat high up on the door. It sparkled as there was a loud series of gearlike sounds as the giant hidden locks turned and unlocked. Suddenly the series of sounds stopped and the door began to swing open slowly with loud metallic ring, the sound of a door that hasn't been open in a long time.

" You may be wondering why we would be using such a way, but traveling through the hidden passage of twilight is the only way that is going to get us through, taking a gummi ship to the shadowlands is too dangerous since the dark residents there have managed to build fighter ships that blend in with the jet black abyss of space. That means we would have to take a battleship to combat them, but Nathaniel didn't want us to waste a good ship so we are going the old fashioned way."
Rould explained as the doors swung open revealing a swirling vortex behind it with clouds of sliver and black mists swirling around. It began pulling them in with some unseen force.
" Now brace yourselves, you will travel through the vortex at a wild speed, but as long as you remember the destination that you are going to in your heart, it will take you there. Remember the Shadowlands."
The vortex began pulling them more inside as a unseen force pushed them in with tremendous force and everyone was flying through a vortex of black and white where the only the sound there was random indistinguishable sounds such as screams, metal chains clanking, and the howls and rush of wind. Phisoxa flew through the vortex that seemed to go on forever, she felt a sickening feeling in her stomach as her frail body was at the mercy of current.
" The shadowlands."
She thought deep inside her heart with as much might as she could because it was hard to think during such a chaotic moment.

 

The shadowlands. Where those of the darkness dwelled. Is this where he wanted to be? The time to decide tht would come later. For now he would stick with what he agreed with Rould and stay with Phisoxa. But as it stood doing research with the old man was of little consequence since he seemed to offer nothing but transportation. The concept of letting himself get lost on the return was already tempting.

 

Until the second Mike had stepped into the vortex all that he could think about was Shadowlands. Why does that word seem so familiar.. on he had pondered with this, his head throbbing. He stepped into the vortex, and suddenly it seemed as though he couldn't think about anything. He tried to clutch his head in agony, but he couldn't move a muscle in his body. He felt his body going elsewhere, as if his soul drifting from his body. He took a startling breath, he had almost forgotten how to breathe. He felt as though he was fading away, flattening into nothing. As he felt himself drifting away at the last second he weakly thought as deep as he could in his heart, The Shadowlands. and felt as though his body took a sudden jerk, his body becoming whole again. He closed his eyes peacefully, no longer alarmed by the speed, considering what he had just felt. Although his head still ached with the aftermath, his whole body would've been trembling if he wasn't traveling so quickly.

 

There was a series of loud explosions as the vortex passed through several worldy gates and there was one last loud one, muting all the other sounds around as the vortex opened up inside the mouth of a cave sitting on top a cliff over looking a civilization as almost as large as Janina in size. It was nighttime here even though it was light back in Janina and there was tall jet black buildings that looked to be made out of shiny black obsidian that jutted up into the skyline and the the light that emanated from their windows was firetruck red, dark blue, , pale blue,and gloomy purple. The two knights were the first to come flying out of the cave and they landed perfectly on their feet on the grassy cliff as Phisoxa came flying out and lost her footing as she fell to the ground on the grass. She looked up at the night sky above as lay there in the grass recovering from the traumatic trip through the vortex.

 

Mixt was thrown out after a slight delay. Standing up and brushing himself off he said. "Doesn't the universe have a kinder way of sending you places? At least I didn't black out like I did the other two times..."

 

Near by the exit of the Vortex was a gummi ship. The plants around it were overgrown and the symbol of light was faded on the side of the ship.

 

Phisoxa stood up and cleaned herself up as she wandered over to the abandoned gummi ship and looked at it.
" Huh ? Someone was here long before?"
Victor who was nearby gave the ship one glace over and sighed.
" Probably a ship left behind from one of old knights we lost during the secret war. It's still in good shape, might be good to bring it back with us afterwards."
Rould responded to Mixt's comment after he took a good look at the civilization below as he pulled the hood of his cloak over his head.
" Well the universe isn't fair, we can try to change that fact, but its unchangeable. Well as long as we have these cloaks on, any normal dark resident wouldn't be able to pick up our scent. The only people who would be are those few with the strongest hearts, but not many wander the streets at random so we will be okay. But if anyone looks at you too strangely I suggest you hit the road."

 

Dante looked at the ship for a few seconds, something didn't feel right about. "I still can't beleve I was dragged out here" He said.
