The Keyblade War: the Awakening of a Solemn Melody

The CEO easily dodged Mike and in the opening punched Mike in the gut.

 

OOC: CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THE DAMN DOOR?
IC: Gexln waited. "Seems i didn't knock loud enough" he said,thinking out loud. Taking a few steps back, he ran straight at the door and used a darkness-enhanced punch that made a loud crash as it rocked the doors.

 

OOC: Sorry Mike is fighting one of the CEO's, but I'll find a way to squeeze you in.

Mike doubled over for a second, but kicked the CEO and ran toward the giant doors down the hall, he jumped up and slammed his feet into the door, opening it up, and as he jumped off he put his keyblade in front of him and charged toward the CEO.

 

The CEO jumped back out of the way of the charge. "This is becoming pointless" The CEO said to Mike.

 

"Yeah. Didn't want to hurt you. Let's end this simply, shall we?" His giant sword set on fire, and his whole body radiated heat. His eyes turned a deathly red color, and he charged the CEO with much more speed then before, randomly slashing everywhere that seemed open.

 

"Lets go" the CEO said, as if talking to someone else as Light and Darknees started to surround the CEO. He charged back at Mike but instead of slashing at Mike he jumped over him and used the Dark and Light energies to mask his presence as he escaped out the front door.

 

Mike stopped, and his body had stopped smoking. "Wow, that was really embarrassing. Note to self: Kick his ass next time." he walked back into the room, and saw in horror the emperors body fading away. He knew it was too late, and he sat down next to the emperor, crossing his legs, and looking down, wanting to pull back him back, but he accepted the truth, the emperor is becoming deceased, and everybody on the side of light was screwed.

 

OOC: Shite i didn't realize you'd actually got me in lol oops
IC: Gexln didn't know what to do or who to help. Luckily his decision was made when one of the people pushed past him and ran off. He looked ahead in time to see the other person run over to the emperor. Hurrying over, he knelt down, almost not believing what he was seeing. "What....how...why is he fading? Shouldn't he just be on the ground...dead?" he asked, unsure of why the emperor was actually fading.

 

Phisoxa held the emperor's fading hand in hers as she watched him slowly disappear. Nathaniel marched into the room and looked over the scene, appearing to be in shock. He then rushed over and fell on his knees near the emperor.
" No . . .I came too late."
A servant nearby shouted out to bring medical help but Nathaniel halted the order.
" No need in that, we can't save him now, his heart has been taken."
He stood up after closing the emperor's eyes which were laying wide open, blank with the stare of death and Nathaniel took out his keyblade and slammed the tip of it into the ground below, in a sort of a salute.
" May he rest in peace for eternity and be reunited with the brother he lost years ago. In his wake I volunteer myself to succeed him in keeping the realm of light safe and strong during this time of solemnity."
He said as the emperor's body faded into sparkles of light and disappeared. Some of the female servants in the room were sobbing but that was all as the whole room remained quiet. Rould came rushing in, busting through the doors and saw what had happen, a surprised looked appeared on his face as he too fell to his knees, his face frozen in utter shock.
Phisoxa replied to Gexln solemnly as she remained seated on her knees.
" When one is killed at the hands of a keyblade, instead of dying and their body being left behind, their body fades along with their heart."
Nathaniel walked over and spoke to one of the guards nearby.
" In the morning we will release news of the tragedy, I want to let the civilians have a peaceful sleep before we begin a memorial service. "
He turned around and spoke to Phisoxa.
" You shall be awarded soon for your attempts to save his life, consider yourself a ideal candidate in the running for this year's newest member of the council."
" But sir, I truly wish to be become a knight, but not in this way . . . I didn't want it to be like this . . ., as a result of someone dying. . . I. . ."
Phisoxa said as she shed a small tear, but she wiped it back, trying to keep herself from breaking out crying, this was all too much for her to handle at once. Nathaniel came over and was about to put his hand on her shoulder to comfort her but he stopped halfway.
" You know, if his majesty were still here, he would have liked you to be in the council anyways. During dinner he couldn't stop talking about you. You know he and your Master Westus were childhood friends after all and I bet your master wished for the same thing. Anyways I suggest you go to bed, you need your rest especially after experiencing so much death. I fear you will get sickly if you stay up being sad for the rest of the night. Now if you excuse me I got to inform the rest of the council and try to stay up to attempt planning his majesty's memorial service."
Phisoxa nodded her head as the servants in the room helped escort Phisoxa, Mike, and Gelxn out of the room and to their assigned bedrooms. The rest of the guests (including Mixt) also were escorted one by one to their rooms. Phisoxa got to sleep in a guest room alone while most of male students shared the same bedroom since the castle was crowded for the night with all the other guests who had arrived for the meeting earlier and the council thought it was best that the students would be best sharing a room. Once Phisoxa got into her bedroom she went to bed straightaway and seemed to sleep for hours on end, never once leaving the solitude of her bedroom. She even slept in past the emperor's memorial service but nobody bothered to disturb her and she never came out of the room, it was 11 o clock in the morning and Phisoxa was still in her bedroom, quiet as ever.

OOC: Okay guys so I skipped ahead to next morning, Everyone who is already at the castle, I guess Gexln, Mike, and Mixt are sharing a room together so whenever you guys decided to wake up, thats your choice. You could say you woke up earlier.

 

When Mike found out which bed he would be sleeping in he thought he would never fall asleep, but he eventually dozed off.

Mike was blinded by the sun as he opened his eyes. He was hoping every thing was just a dream, but to his displeasure he woke up in the same room. Mike felt absolutely terrible, he didn't even bother to move and check to see if the others were awake yet, but he kept his ears open for any sign that he should bother to move.

 

Gexln woke up with a start. The whole night, he had had a terrifying nightmare. It was an unusual nightmare, one filled with visions of himself being stabbed with a blade, and his heart being released. He woke up in a cold sweat and sat up quickly. "It's ok...it's just a dream..nothing more" he said, the fear clearly in his voice. He stood up quickly and got changed. He then sat down on his bed.

 

Mike groaned and got up, his whole body trembling. He walked over and found fresh clothes, then fully got dressed. He laid back down at his bed, "Have nightmares?" Mike asked Gexln quietly, keeping his voice quiet.

 

"Well...sort of. Something about me losing my heart...stupid right?" Gexln asked.

 

"Actually..considering what had happened..I can't really blame you." Mike said in a faint voice. Looking at every little detail of the room they were in, he hoped Phisoxa was doing okay.

 

"I just...i never thought i'd ever see anyone just fade away. It just seems so...wrong. We didn't get to bury him or anything" Gexln said. He sighed. "What do you think it means though? The heart being released and floating off into the air...what could it mean?" he asked.

 

"I don't know..at first I thought it might me free, but that makes no sense..." he shook his head, "But..I don't know, I might have learned about it..but.." he sat up and looked at the ground, "The emperor-" he stopped himself, "It's all so confusing..." he looked at Gexln, I hope it's not what I think it is.. he sighed, looking up at the ceiling.

 

OOC: Alright I should be good to be posting again. Sorry about going MIA there, had a bunch of things to do on my end.

IC: Mixt sat up in his bed. He was lost in thought but not over what the other two were worried about. It seemed so insignificant to him. The loss of the emperor was nothing more than one returning to all. It was an important lesson of all alchemists. Basic equivalent exchange, in order for there to be birth there must be death. His mind was going a mile a minute with concepts, formulas, and diagrams. He desperately sit down at a desk and sort out his ideas but this was not the place for such matters. Even if no one here should understand he did not want to take such a risk. With a sigh he stood up. "I'm going to get some fresh air." He said very simply as he went for the door.

 

Mike watched Mixt walk out, and he simply shrugged and laid back down again. As he thought Mixt left he popped up and put on his shoes. "Seems a bit odd..doesn't it?" he asked Gexln, tripping while putting on his sneaker and getting up, gesturing for him to come with him.

 

"Well...really nothing makes sense right now" Gexln said.

 

"So, what do you say?" he gestured toward the door again, "He's obviously not going to smell the roses. Maybe this will help us find out something, about anything."
