The Keyblade War: Rewind and press Play

Keith smiled and nodded, "I'm fine, and i agree, i'd rather not be shot again." he said sighing as he looked around ,"Ansem, was this the work of one of the twins?" he said question as he walked around in the darkness.

 

Ansem:" Well Moegiro has been playing around with the darkness lately, but don't worry it will wear off soon enough, but I'm not sure how long it will take."
He said with a sarcastic smile on his face.

 

"Your teasing me aren't you?" he said stretching his arms ,"Well at least we can't attack eachother if we can't find ourselves, right? Maybe i should look for Crystal, if its possible in this dark."

 

((What?? Yeah, those creatures aren't exactly so weak so as one could just slice them in half. Not terribly powerful offensively, but pretty damn durable. Kind of like battling against miniature dragons. I did cover their resistance capability within the summoning post)).

These beasts aren't much unlike the heartless. But at the same time, they are totally different to them. From a looking point upon the halted tram car, Zei overlooked the hovering of the dragonic creatures from afar. With the moves they made, the young warrior found himself both horrified, and deeply impressed. Each move they made seemed to be orchestrated, fine-tuned to towards achieving their goal. It wasn't unlike the heartless to swarm as such; but these beasts were of a different definition of the term. Their movements, now that they had become accustomed to the world they were in, had grown to resemble the hearding of sheep by dogs, or the corninger of a larger prey by a pack of wolves. Within the common, ten or so of them had effectively managed to keep a twenty man defense force at bay while the rest had their way with fleeing citizens, who also seemed like sheep being hearded. This could get horrid. I best have myself a crack at those things.

With as much a force as he could spare, he pushed off from the tram car setting on a colision path with the nearest of the monsters, one keeping watch over the defense squad. Shattered Balance, being now imbued with a fragment of Zei's chi, had begun to let off a faint glow as it made thrusting contact against the side of the monster. It seemed to have worked well enough, the creature having doubled back to regain its form. But damage, at best, had been glancing. True, a scar, bleeding of purple or black blood oozed out gently from its stomach; yet it was almost totally unconcerned by the fact that it had been attacked. Like swatting at a bee, all Zei had done was enrage the beasts, which, in a split decision, ditched their post over the squad, and focused in a gang assualt on the warrior. Outmatch? Sure hope not.


For one trying to discern, and define the pleasure with which Xiao observed the assualt, they'd have likley found themselves ill-equiped; her half-maddened laughter, her fanged teeth born in revelry, and that almost childlike demeanor in which she resided hinted towards one who seemed to lack finite purpose. Chaos, for the sake of enjoyment, was, and would forever would be, the routine at large for the demoness, or whatever she was. Such it was, that any level of destruction would do only little to quench the thirst that itched the inside of her desert mouth. In this manner, she watched over every proceeding of the attack. Mixt, for all she knew, could have gotten mixed up within the ruckus. HA! Mixt... Wonder what he's thinking of it all now.

"Don't flinch!" The nurse had nagged on pretty much every patient along the infirmary wing of the castle, divulging that little secret. "If you move too much, it's going to hurt even more than it does right now. If you'll let me finish, Sergeant Boroughs, you can get out of here, and to your home station in no time." It was Cornelius' turn now, the backside of his torso where Xiao had so graciously torn the skin and mucsle in towards the spin was now being mended in the most outlandish way he thought possible. A few stitches had poked through the nerves at first, but the doctors had abandoned that hope, and tried something that they called 'new, experimental stuff.' As it turned out, that stuff was an artificial plating, made from an unknown substance that could contour with the mostions of the spinal muscles.

Despite the nurses' warnings, he had resisted having the artificial patching implanted, asserting that the flesh would grow back over time. But what did he know? As the nurse pointed out so coldly, and efficiently, he had no medical experience. Thus, he was subjected to that awkward sensation of having a slab of assembly line mtaerial embossed upon his backside, forming a bionic sort of system that mimiced the necessary functions of what was lost when Xiao had stabbed his body. The spirit inhabiting the body of the mind, taking place of its soul, had taken pleasure in this event. It would give itself a little more security in the sense of avoiding inquiry. A body didn't just last after being sliced through the back.

In a short while, Cornelius was released from the operation ward, and into more of a waiting room, from which eh was escorted to what the castle staff reffered to as the "adjustment dorms."

 

OOC: Ah okay sorry?...

Phisoxa:"We need to find some more civilians that are in need of help, if not we can focus on depleting their numbers for time being."
She said rubbing at her head, man did she have a hell of a headache, and at the perfect time of all times it could of been. Her vision was growing blurry as well, which drove her crazy. She focused on something coming from the other side of the cobblestone pathway. For a minute she thought it was another one of those monsters, but it walked pretty much like a human though, which concerned Phisoxa. Phisoxa shook her head to help her focus on the figure, it wasn't a monster but it was none other then Rould, he seemed to be carrying a bag full of papers and folders strapped to his shoulder. He had a mug of coffee in his fist and he had that emotionless calm look on his face, but he stopped after spotting Phisoxa on the trail in front of him. He dropped his bag and the papers fell out and he bent over to pick them up, grumbling as he did.

Phisoxa ran over to him and stood in front of him to help him with his papers.
Phisoxa:" Hey Rould what are you doing all the way out here, aren't you suppose to be with Nathaniel currently?"
Rould:" He decided to send me on some sort of "vacation", but I don't mind, I need a break from all those crazy baboons down at the emergency headquarters."
Rould stood up and tucked the bag back under his arm and combed his bangs out of his eyes.
Phisoxa's eyes widened and grabbed Rould by the shoulders and shook him.
Phisoxa:" Rould you got to promise not to tell Nathaniel of my whereabouts or that you even saw me at all, he can't know."
Rould:"I won't this time. The reason why may you guess is he will have an entire armada down here by tomorrow and then that means the loss of my vacation, plus you have nothing to worry about, the only others here are myself and a couple of escorts to boot, but they are as young and as stupid as they come."

 

OOC: Sorry been busy the last couple of days.

Mixt triggered the transmutation circle and the ground beneath him lifted into a pillar bringing him up to eye level with Xiao "I see you're enjoying yourself. The way this war is going right now I would be surprised if you weren't. I've got a job for you. This box was acquired from Nathaniel's office at the City of Light. Problem being that he placed a magic seal on it. Your job is to open it. preferably leaving the contents intact." Mixt held the box out to her.

Phisoxa:" So how is everyone fairing these days?"
She asked him curiously as if it were a child's.
Rould:" Well we managed to make it to our other territories, Nathaniel has managed to start drafting more soldiers, even from neutral territories who don't wish to participate in this war. Problem is hes been usually loads of propaganda to get even more then just adult men to join, he's allowing more teens as well, as well as that hes been looking for Knight's Council members to draft, after that show he put up for us at the City of Light. Thirdly, hes been looking for you desperately and he will not this flexing of the military's muscles till he does, then he will find out where the key halves are, so I suggest keeping a low profile till that runs it's course."
He said smiling and Phisoxa turned away from him to go head off in a different direction.

Rould:" Anyways congratulations, I would of never thought that it would be you who carries that "thing". I guess it's expected, since you seem to be the target for these prophecies lately. . . like what happened last time . ."
He said waving at her and turning away from the girl, Phisoxa wondered what he ment by "last time". As far as she can remember, life has been pretty normal for her before and she turned around to catch him and ask him what he meant, but Rould was already gone and left the area.
Phisoxa:" What do you mean by last time, damn it ?!"

 

Torxber walked up behind Phisoxa.
Torxber: He mean before your memory wipe. Rould, do you know if Norman gave nathaniel my message.

 

Rould appeared from behind them suddenly, he had not left them yet.
Rould:" Of course he did, why else do you think Nathaniel is taking all these extra measures to stay a float while trying to snatch Phisoxa away as well."
Phisoxa:" Memory wipe? What do you mean, I'm perfectly fine."

 

Torxber smiled at Rould.
Torxber: Thats good to hear. Now Phisoxa, ask Rould what memory wipe I'm talking about.

 

Rould:" As well as I'm specialized enough to wipe memories, I can give her a sample of what I mean, I do tire of explaining the whole ordeal over and over."
He said holding out his gloved hand and snapping his fingers and the there were sent into visual of part of phisoxa's lost memories. They seemed to be in a different world now, in the City of Light, right outside the steps, people were walking back and forth not even noticing the three.
Phisoxa:" Where are we?"
Rould:" In your lost memories, you see I hold a copy of them in possession of me. You see what happened was that you were a target of a rather ancient and mysterious prophecy my dear."

 

Toxber: Yeah, so I made it my mission to change so said prophecy. Ironic tha its me trying to change it actually. Anyway, what Nathaniel wanted done couldn't happen while the emperor was still alive, so he made a deal with me.

 

Phisoxa:" Prophercy, and what prophecy would that be ?"
Rould:" This prophecy tells of a set of twins shall be born with phenomenal powers and the destiny of those twins is to either use those powers to save us all and cause a lifetime of peace, as long as the twins are still alive. Or the twins can be destined to be a omen with their powers and cause death, war, and destruction to creep back into the many worlds. You see our faithful emperor was one of those twins, but he was the one that brought eternal peace. In order to stop this internal peace and released the chains from the wrists of the denizens of the dark he had locked away, a deal was made and the faithful ruler was killed. Bringing about the next set of twins to take his place, which of course would be the hell raisers of the prophecy."

 

Torxber: In other word Nathaniel told me he would keep everyone safe until then. But we see how well that has gone. He was killed by your hands Phisoxa, or was it mine. Rould which was it?

 

Rould:"I prefer not to point fingers here, you know more about it then me."
The scene then changed to the Munboy Manor where Dante's family lived on their wealthy estate. It was raining and the grass full of mud and water. In the backyard there was a lot of screaming and shouting.
Rould:" You see you were destined to bear the twins Phisoxa, but we didn't know that to full after you left Dante, your love for him was twisted by the unknown truths that awaited. That in the ancient Knight's Council law, a woman wasn't allowed to have a child or express love with someone outside the Knight's Council, which made your love for him nearly impossible. Also at the time Dante was scheduled to marry another woman, whom he didn't want to marry but was going to be forced to. She was a cruel woman and when she found out that you were pregnant with her fiance's child she pushed you out the window and nearly broke your back."
He said as the scene switched to the backyard of the estate, where Phisoxa lay with a terror stricken face in the muddy earth with rain pouring out of the sky a top of her, barely able to move with Dante hunched over her apologizing.

 

Torxber: Of course that woman was killed for such a thing. Don't forget the part that guys turned her over to the dark forces during the try outs.

 

Rould:" When you were taken back to the palace and Dante locked up for "horrible" crimes in a imperial dungeon, we discovered that you were pregnant ourselves. Pregnant with twins, but of course we discovered that tell tale tattoo on your arm that used to foretold the carrier of the twins of the prophecy were to be you, we knew this time it would be the ones of the unfavorable kind.So we decided to have their souls exiled into oblivion to prevent them from re-birthing and to have them killed afterward. We planned this strictly behind your back."

 

Torxber: Thats where me and your cousin Rodarn come in, we attacked with a small strike force from Tohemi. We took the kids and hid them from the council and anyone else taht might be after them.

 

The scene changed to the palace once more but it was back at the steps and a pregnant Phisoxa, Rould and Norman were talking amongst themselves and Phisoxa running off with Norman down the steps, only to show a group of imperial guards come running after the two.
Rould:" Not before I told her to run for her life, I told her what horrible things were going to bestow her children and she ran away from the palace with the help of Norman who escorted her out of the world without her being detected,only to have a armada of knights on to her trail that chased her all the way to the Raidiant Gardens, where you gave birth to them and the children suddenly disappeared into the night, your memory was wiped so we couldn't interrogate you on the location or whoever took the twins. So that was a major blow for the Council."
The scene was changed again to a small room where Phisoxa lay on the ground exhausted and two children in the arms of a person shrouded in mystery.

 

Torxber: He handed us the children afterwards and we escaped. After destroying the Council armada. I have to admit it was suprising. For a while they lived in Tohemi then the war started and we though that the best idea would be to hide them somewhere else while I go and do my work.
