Mixt wasn't sure exactly how badly he was wounded but it felt like rolling over would be a stretch and he could forget about standing up. "Another one sent by some righteous cause to stop me?" Mixt asked.

 

The girl couldn't speak, she had yet to learn how to.

Mixt could barely hear her. Was his hearing fading or was she talking like that. The truth was some of both. Mixt thoughts quickly returned to the seal. There was no way he could finish it now. He had lost it. He had only one option left. He had wanted to avoid it because this could kill him in more ways than one. Mixt felt arround for a small rock and then proceded to use the last of his strength to use the rock to make paterned cuts across his entire body. It was crude and painful but it was the last chance he had.

 

The girl got ready to stab Mixt again, this time it would be lethal, straight thre his heart.

 

Mixt groaned as he stopped "Why?" he asked weakly.

 

The girl didn't answer as he blade came down towards him.

 

Mixt rolled over running on almost pure adrenaline. Mixt got to his hands and knees. Maybe if he could make himself stand he could do something. Maybe.

 

The girl thre wher blade like a spear and it hit right in the back of Mixt's leg.

 

Mixt winced. Not able to hide his pain like he usually could. But there was something else, until now the only one he knew to throw a blade like that was him. "Do you know me?"

 

The girl noded at him as she walked towards him.

 

With standing now out of the picture Mixt fell back down. "Mercy... Please, show mercy..."

 

Girl: -ever show- mercy. Why sho- -ou get it?
The girl resummouned her sword.

 

"Because" Mixt said weakly but with hope behind it. "I know the true power of human life"

 

The girl halted. She was suprised Mixt waould say that.

 

Mixt saw her pause and grew more hopeful. "Humans are the first to write ourselves off as being weak, because when we are alone we are. But when we come together we each find strength in each other. Each person giving more than they thought they could to a common cause."

 

The girl started walking closer again, disappointed in the answer.

 

"But what if there was an immensely large group. Not an empire because everyone would be equal, but just a large collection of people with a common cause. Millions of people aiding each other under a common banner. Anyone under that banner would be unstoppable." Mixt continued, practically begging now.

 

The girl back hand slapped Mixt across the face.

 

"What do you want from me?" Mixt asked. His life work was at the mercy of this one girl and he didn't even know what she was here for. She had apologized for hurting him and then promptly tried to kill him.

The girl tried to take her helmet off to reveal her face, but she couldn't. It was stuck. Tear drops started coming from the helmet
