PB, I don't get the opening of XII. Ashe gets married, then her husbands dies, becoming her a widow. I just don't get it!

 

What's not to understand?

When a wife's husband dies, the wife is now known as a widow. Since Rasler died she was then a widow.

 

But it's like she gets married one day, and her husband dies the next. That's what I don't get.

 

He went to war. He was killed in battle.
It happens. In real life.
