[If you haven't noticed already, I like shiny stuff. And I should probably stay the heck away from the smudge tool.]

Just experimenting with some filters, smudging and text. Also used a brush for the first time in like, 3 years or something. xD

    Ok um, wow
The text is really good, the colours actually suit, and what is this datying off the smudge tool business? I wish I could blend as well as that! I think the lighting needs to move just a smidgen to the right, just to perfect the balance with the shadows. Very simple, but very nice. Good work =)

Made 3 more versions. Just very minor adjustments is all.

I moved the lighting over from her chest to her left shoulder and moved the flare next to the text just a tiny bit.

I moved the flare from her shoulder to the top near her head.

Added a black and white gradient map and a small white border.

Of all of those versions, I like the first and second. Probably the first more as the second looks a bit pale. What blending mode did you use for the Gradient map? Anyway, I think the second would be good if you added a 'curves' layer and played around with it.

I tend to just stick with 'Lighten' when I use gradient maps or else the shadows/lights make my eyes bleed. I've actually got a curves layer in there already. xD

I see... I think it just looks a bit pale overall thats all. Use a gradient map on 'soft light', probably not black and white, but see how that goes.

See THAT looks really good because you darken the edges a bit more without having too much black to emphasise the focal. Very well done, my friend, very well done =)

I'm not digging any of the effects here :[
Overall it seems flat with a few rough patches.

The text and fundamentals aren't too bad though, so that's good!

Only thing that bother's me is the text placement and the borders.
Maybe try using Gradient Map / Blue to blend it in more? Other than that, it's ok.
