jess smiled at the feud between the brothers. "i guess i can show you how to manipulate water if you want, oh and i have a favor to ask... can you show me how to teleport?" jess asked a sudden rush of excitement flooded through her body as the last word left her lips

 

Kain snapped back to attention, and Sin's eyes went wide. Looking at each other, Sin and Kain sighed. "Well, first of all, you'd need to learn how to use MAGIC..." Kain began "You know, manipulating water is magic, Kain." Sin interrupted. Kain flinched and continued. "Anyhow, you'd need to know that, plus a good math score, otherwise you'll end up like me. And then, you'd need to learn how to use a pentacle..." "Which is a b*tch to use.*" Sin said, smiling. "Yes. And after that, you'd have to make sure you don't explode, burninate yourself-owch!" "Say it right, idiot!" Sin said, knocking Kain over the head when he said Burninate. "okay, fine. And you'd have to make sure you don't kill anybody in the process of teleportation." Kain finished. For a minute, everything was quiet. "But, other than that, you should have no problems!" Kain said, smiling nervously. "Oh, I really oughta' mention I'm a horrible teacher..." Kain said, still smiling. Sin sighed. "If Kain's going to wimp out on it, then I'll teach you, so that I can learn about manipulating water. Sin said crossing his arms and keeping his eyes averted from Kain and Jess, like he does with everybody. Kain flinched and punched Sin in the gut, sending Sin flying two feet away and cracking Kain's knuckles, which, for him, hurt a LOT.

 

"okay, i somewhat get it..." she watched the two fight... "do you always fight like this?" she aksed curiously. she began to tick of what kain( and sin) had said about teleportation. "i know how to use magic, i'm good at math, so that won't be a problem, and to make sure i don't kill me or anyone else... got it, might wanna move i'm going to try it now,"

 

Kain and Sin hastily said yes to reply to the question, then continued fighting. And when they had heard Jess was going to attempt it...

"Uh..." Kain said, his eyes growing wide

"That... Wouldn't be a good idea, not just yet." Sin said, his eyes even more wide.

 

too late... jess had dissapeared in a ball of blue light and appeared a few meters away from where she had started. "did it work?" jess asked looking at her hand to make sure it wasn't sizzled off... "my teleportation looked wierd... did i do something wrong?" jess asked walking up to the two.

 

Kain was impressed. Nobody ever got it right on their first try, not even Sin. And that was saying something. "Well, it LOOKED different, but it was definatelly a teleportation spell. Nobody ever gets it on their first try, though.." Kain said, confused. "Kinda' like Kain. He tried it his first time and teleported all the way to the nearest city from where I was teaching him, but he left his right leg where he started from." sin laughed at the memory of Kain screaming over a missing leg. Sin had it flung over his shoulders when he caught up with Kain. Kain turned red at the memory. "Yeah..." he said glumly, looking down.

 

jess tried to stifle a giggle "oh, i guess i was lucky then, do you have any water here?" jess asked... "i can show you, both of you, a few moves," jess had said. she stressed the 'both' to make sure they heard it she thought it was fair seeing as both of them had showed her how to teleport

 

Kain looked up and was about to say where the nearest lake was when Lynx came up behind the both of them. "Ahem. Well, looks like we have a good spell user here." Lynx said, making Kain say "Oooooooh..." and look down again. Sin laughed at Kain's priceless expression and Lynx looked proud of himself. Looking at Jess, Lynx said "Name's Lynx. And you would be...?"

 

"i'm jess, nice to meet you," she bowed her head again. "So do you have any water around here? wait a second, there is a river i always practice in in the mornings, we can go there it isn't too far... want to come?" she added to lynx.

 

Lynx thought about it for a moment. And took a few seconds to laugh at Kain's sudden comment of "Why do I have to be the horribly pathetic one?". Finally, Lynx answered "Nah, can't I have some business to do in town. Somewhere." Lynx made his way back towards Kain's house, but looked back and said for one more laugh, "Hey Kain, you got your @$$ whooped at spellcasting by a girl! What's happening lately, huh?" Kain turned even more red and collapsed face first, saying "OOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" Lynx laughed as he walked away. Sin was red from laughing so hard. Picking Kain up, Sin said "Sure, why not? Let's go before something else kills me."

 

this time jess did laugh, "come on, it is this way," she led them through the forest to a clearing. in the clearing a river cut a path right down the middle. jess waded into the water. "come on! dont get cold feet the water isn't too cold," jess said rather enjoying bossing them around.

 

Sin was suddenly nervous and he didn't know why. Carelessly throwing Kain in the river, Sin hesitated a little bit before nervously stepping in. Kain woke up, sputtering water at the ground as he did so. "SIN! What was that for?!" Kain yelled, indignantly. "Just helping out." Sin said quietly.

 

"well come on! are you going to stand there all day? i cant show you how to move water when your not in the water..." jess said she waved her hands over the water and a long thin rope made out of water came out. she twisted it elegantly then put it back making one ripple

 

Kain looked over at Sin. He was oddly pale.. "Sin," Kain asked, "You're not... Are you Aquaphobic?" Sin nodded, his eyes wide with fear. Kain sighed. "Well, no WONDER you can't manipulate water. If I had known better..." Kain tried to do the trick Jess had, but instead of an elegant rope he made a not so elegant whip that smacked him in the forehead and sent him flying over backwards.

 

"are you scared of water? like die scared?" jess asked ignoring kain who was flying back. jess had made a sphere of water before she asked the question and it came crashing down into the water splahing her. she waited patiently for an answer.

 

Sin's only response was a quiet whimper, him scooting back a few inches, and a nod.

 

"i might be able to show you out of the water... i dunno, i have never tried." jess got out of the water and began sucking water out of her clothes. she put it in the dry ground... do you think you could try taking it out of something?" she asked.

 

Sin got even more pale at the mention of taking water out of something. Kain saw this and said "I think Sin would rather not be here. I think he only really intended to let me try it out and then wait for me later. I mean, just by looking I can tell Sin has an EXTREMELY bad case of Aquaphobia, otherwise he wouldn't be so darn jumpy at the slightest mention of water." Sin got even more pale, looking ghost like.

 

"okay, sorry Sin"... jess took the water from the ground and put it back in the river. whe walked in again toward kain. "okay, what do you want to know how to do first?" she asked

OOc: heads up i am going to bed at 4:30 that is an hour and a half away...

Kain thought it over. I'm gonna' need to start with something simple..." Kain said wistfully.

OOC: (I gots to be logging out now. I'm tired as heck and I've stayed up all night before and never had this happen!)
