after a while jess got tired of tying to reach her house, why am i so damn curious? she asked herself. her feet ached as she past the riverbed. she walked back to her small house and threw open the door. she walked in quietly and changed from her waterlogged clothes

 

Kain was just about to test his sword's special technique when for some reason his arm shot up in the air and pushed him down away from sight of the window. Kain heard somebody go by and held his breath. But, without realizing it, he had accidentally activated another pentacle, and lightning shot the floor and busted his room window, red and blue streaks of magic shooting out like sparks and zapping the ground. Kain let it play out and waited for the spell to fade. It did, but he had caught some attention.

 

jess leaned back in her wicker chair... i'm so bored she thought. before she knew what she was doing she got up and strode over to the door. she slipped out silently and went back to the river. she stepped in the clear her skirt flowing around her like a weird halo. jess let out a contempt sigh and waded further out into the water

 

Kain looked up and saw Lynx leaning in the shattered window. "Uh huh. I was wondering why that was so close." Kain got up and brushed himself off, the remaining effects of the lightning strikes leaving his clothes charred slightly. "Sorry, just testing." Kain said, putting his sword away on its sword rack. Lynx jumped in through the window and cast a repair spell, fixing the window. "Anymore shattered windows? Or is this it?" "More in the living room." Kain said, remembering he never had fixed the windows.

bic: jess heard a twig snap. she wheeled around water splashing as she spun. her sharp eyes peered into the branches of the thick forest. she stood silently in the water. slowly she walked up to the bank never drifting her gaze from the thicket.

Kain watched calmly as Lynx repaired everything in the house and reinforced it so that it wouldn't break/explode so easily anymore. Kain then heard a knock at his door. Looking out the window, he saw the familiar neck length black hair and rectangular glasses of Sin. "Come on it," Kain said. Sin opened the door easily, his glasses glinting in the light.

Name: Sin
Age: 18
History: He wouldn't tell you if you tortured him.
Appearance: Shoulder length black hair, red eyes, a chain sword sheathe, black zip up sleeveless sweater, black long sleeve tee shirt under sweater, black pants, black shoes, that's about it.

Weapon: A katana and a six barreled gun and a Nekode, a glove with claws on it.
Weapon appearance: Quite obvious for the katana and Nekode, but the six barreled pistol literally has six barrels, one in the middle and five around it. The pistol is as long as your ordinary Uzi.
Weapon abilities: ???
Weapon add ons: None, except the keychain on the end of his gun.

Sin looked around the house. Then his glaring eyes set their sights on Lynx. Sin glared daggers at him. Lynx looked not scared. "Man, you need to lighten up once in a while you know that?" Sin didn't reply, but only continued to glare at Lynx. "Why are you in my brother's house, duckbait?" Lynx flinched. Duckbait, that was rich. "Well, I have nowhere else to stay and I can't afford a room, so he let me stay here for a while." Sin scoffed and turned to Kain. "This house isn't normally this clean, Kain. Were you using spells?" Kain blushed and shifted his eyes from the door to the kitchen area. Sin just sighed and knocked Kain over the head with the back of his glove. "Idiot. You always try to attract attention to yourself."

 

jess cocked her head peering into the woods. whatever had made the twig snap was obviously gone, jess seemed to think it was too dangerous to practice minipulating water right now bcaus she headed back to her house and unsheathed a sword. it had a black blade that glinted as it caught the light. after a while jess began to loose interest again and she went to seek something else to do.

 

Sin went out into the field Kain had scorched and revealed a good casting area with his "Find Pentacle" spell. Sin walked into the middle of the exact spot, held his hand up into the air, and as soon as he did, lightning struck the ground where he was standing, not effecting him of course, but turning the ground black under his feet and turning the pentacle into a bright fusia color. Sin waited for the right moment, then stabbed the ground with his clawed hand, setting off a chain reaction of lightning strikes all around him, using a Mystic Magic called "Lightning Nova", and when the spell was done, there were multiple scorch marks on the ground, plus many glowing fusia spheres, which Sin called back to him by raising his hand. Hoping he hadn't caused any attention grabbing, Sin "Switch Spell"-ed himself with Kain. Sin walked back into the house and took Lynx with him. Kain was wondering what was going on.

 

jess grabbed a fistfull of money from the table. she was just about to run a few erands when her thoughts began to linger back to the scorched ground. she sighed angrily and threw back her head. this stupid thought is not going to leave me alone! jess looked around. what in the world could have made a mark like that? jess, frustrated with herself for allowing her thoughts to wander to the black ground, got up and tucked her sword away safely in the closet near her bedroom (it was laying on the ground next to her feet). jess went back outside and set off toward the scorch mark.

 

Kain was standing there, just confused at why Sin would lock the door and leave him outside, when he heard footsteps approaching. ~Great~ he thought sulking, ~I'm gonna' get my butt kicked because of Sin's stupid no-reason spell!~ Kain just stood there, trying not to act scared.

 

jess neared the scorch mark when she saw someone in the distance. she froze staring strait ahead. she began to back up slowly.

Kain was tired of waiting for Sin to unlock the darn door, so he used a warp spell to get back inside. Lightning struck where he was standing and he was gone, leaving nothing but a scorch mark.

 

ooc: wait what? did he like die?

jess's eyes grew wide as lightning struck the figure. forgetting about hiding she ran forward (stupid move) to the place where he vanished. jess looked around worriedly for any sign of the person that was just there.

 

OOC: (No no no, he used a Warp Spell!)


Kain had miscalculated the landing point, and where the lightning struck was two inches in front of where he disappeared. "D'oh! I need to do the math better..." Kain said, unaware of somebody behind him.

 

jess jumped back frightened at the sudden appereance of the person, her eyes grew wider as she stepped back. her heart rate began to increase. she longed to just turn and run but then she would bring his attention to her and she didn't want that. she tried to move backward as slowly and silently as possible and was failing miserably since she was so scared

 

Kain heard somebody behind him and turned around, fixing his glasses as he did so. "Um... hi? Er, why do you look so freaked out? It's just a teleportation spell. The weakest type in the book, so you have to do the math right, or you could end up stuck in a wall. Or, if you're as bad at math as me, two inches in front of where you left. I really need more practice..." Kain sighed outward, his eyes were closed and one was twitching slightly.

 

jess blinked, "er... hi, i guess," her brain was functioning a bit slow. "are you kidding me i thought you blew up or something! earlier today i saw a weird lightning thing like that and the ground was all black so i healed it and-- i am talking way to fast. sorry"

 

Kain blinked and cocked his head, a clear expression of WTF on his face. "Blew up? If that were to happen, I'd be screwed! But no, I didn't blow up." Kain thought back to the one day when he accidentally DID blow something up. It had been a trash can, he was trying to teleport the trash to the junkyards, but he miscalculated five times over and blew up the trash can, burning pieces of trash flying everywhere. It was a b*tch to clean up. "Though I didn't realize that you had cleaned up the other mess I had made." Kain said, pointing to the ground where he had first miscalculated. Kain pushed his glasses back on his face. " my name's Kain, And I'm the son of... well I know he's a hero... How DO I forget names so easily... Well, he was a hero, I'll say that. But I did not cause tis mess, Sin started it. Sin's my jack*ss brother, he's inside." Kain turned around to a semi smiling Sin with a relaxed glare on his face. Sin was easily a foot taller than Kain. "O-or he's right behind me..." Kain said looking up embarrassed at Sin. Sin chuckled lightly. "Better learn how to listen to noises next time, eh Kain?" Sin had used a warp spell to appear behind Kain.

 

jess smiled politely and bowed her head to the two of them "pleased to meet you, i am jess and i live alone...." jess drifted off... "yeah, anyway, i cleaned up that mess earlier only because i saw the lightning and i was practing minipulating water. i am not very good at it though," she said

 

Sin looked off to the side and said almost to himself "Neither am I..." Kain heard it. "Huh? Sin, you never said you could manipulate water!" Kain said, in sudden excitement. "I can't. I don't know how." Sin said. Kain sighed and said mockingly, "You're a master of over 1000 spells, yet you can't manipulate water? Boy Sin, I thought water was your specialty. Or was it Fire..." Kain couldn't say much more, because Sin, who's face had turned deep red, had taken and punched Kain twenty feet up in the air. Kain landed hard on his face. "Owww..." he said in pain. "Serves you right." Sin said, his eye twitching under a deep red glare. Kain got up and casually brushed himself off. "Well, at least you didn't break my jaw. At least not this time." Kain turned back to Jess and somewhat smiled. "Yes he broke my jaw in an incident where I embarrassed him in front of his ex girlfriend. And yes, he could've done it again. And, if it's possible, yes he's a master of 100 spells but he can't manipulate water." Sin growled, an evil glare crossing his face, and jumping back, Sin threw a fire spell at Kain, incinerating him on the spot. After the smoke cleared, a charred black Kain was standing in the normal Kain's spot, his glasses hanging off his right ear. "Ouch." Said Kain, letting out a puff of smoke before falling over.
