The Infected

The dragon kept walking to the couple.

Angry tears started to flow down her face.

And a snarl curled her lips.

"I should've never saved you...Toki..."

 

OOC: I have to take my dog, Reggie, for a walk. Be on as soon as I can!

Toki was scared out of his mind. His good friend Sinder was trying to kill him now. "Sinder please...I don't want to fight you." He said, taking out the Reqium of Wind. His sadness turned to rage. "I won't be seperated from Rita again. I need her, I love her." He said to himself. He held his sword up, ready to defend or attack at any second.​

 

Sinder's hate turned into sadness.

She let out a sorrowful screech as she raised her haed toards the sky.

Tears rolled down her face and she closed her eyes.

The dragon was crying now.

'I love her,' was what rushed through her mind as on constant replay.

Toki's words hurt her.

 

He saw that Sinder had stopped. He put away Reqium of Wind and slowly approached her. "It's okay Sinder." Toki said.​

 

Sider backed away from the boy.

"No.

It's not ok."

She looked at him with glazed eyes.

 

Toki felt bad for her. Then, it hit him. 'Because she's Infected, she can't love.' He thought. "Yes it is." He said. "I'm sure you will find someone." He approached her and touched her scaley hand. "Believe me." Toki said. "Love can come from out of nowhere." He looked back towards Rita.​

 

Sinder moved away from Toki.

She didn't want to be touched by him.

"You don't know what it feels like to be me... human..."

The words rolled off her tongue with a harshness.

"The Infected cannot feel many emotions, including the one that you feel for Rita.

My life is filled with pain and hate."

She paused for a moment.

"I can only watch as the things I can't possess unravel before me."

 

Toki sighed. 'I don't know what to do. She has a point. I feel bad for her.' He thought. "Well, I'm sorry Sinder. There's nothing I can do." He said with another sigh." He started to slowly turn away.​

 

Sinder turned from Toki.

"You are not sorry.

You don't feel sorry for an Infected."

She looked into the sky for a moment before walking from him.

"I was the one who saved you from dying, Toki.

Now I wonder if I should regret it..."

 

Toki glanced back at Sinder. "Well then...maybe you shouldn't have." He said. He walked away.​

 

Sinder stopped walking.

"Take care of her Toki.

Love her like you will never see her again.

She is the only thing that matters greatly to you.

If you hold her dear, you will recieve the same.

If you truly love her, you will do anything for her."

 

He looked back again. "I will, I swear." He said. He walked towards the group, but then he looked at Sinder again. "Sinder..." He said. "Thanks..."​

 

"I only saved you because of one fact.

I knew that if Rita lost you, she would never be the same.

She would've lost the thing that she cared for most.

A hole in her chest would've developed, and she would know only sorrow and pain..."

Sinder paused again.

"I know this because...

I used to love someone too..."

She continued walking.

 

Toki's jaw dropped. He quickly turned around, completely facing the dragon. "Who was it?" He asked. "Maybe you can find him again."​

 

"Toki...

He is dead..."

The dragon slowed a little.

 

"I-I'm sorry..." Toki said. "I truly am. Now I understand why."​

 

Sinder stopped and looked towards the sky.

"They killed him when They infected me.

He was the only thing I held dear."

She sighed.

"I have no happiness in my life, Toki.

You have Rita to keep you happy."

The dragon continued walking and exited the town, her head hung low.

 

OOC: Sorry, but my mom wants me to go to Khol's with her. >_< *sighs* I'll post as soon as I get back. See you soon!~

Toki bowed his head. "Really, I understand now." He said. "If it happened to me, I would feel the same." ​

 

"I know you would..."

The dragon continued walking away from the town.

Forest soon engulfed her and she came to a waterfall.

This waterfall was bigger than the last one she had been to.

She had told her deepest secret to someone she hardly knew.

Now she just felt cold.

Sinder made her way into the water that followed soon after the base of the waterfall, and laid there with her eyes closed.

 

Toki sighed as he saw Sinder disappear into the woods. "I know, I just know that you will find someone to love you. I swear Sinder." He looked to where Sinder had entered the woods and walked back to his group of friends.​
