The Infected

Xioimara smiled. "This is Xara," She introduced. "Xara this is Toki." Xioimara turned back to Toki, "She's the one that saved me when you guys left me in the forest." She added, sarcasm just barely dabbing her voice.

 

"Wow..." Toki said. "Nice to meet you." He said. He walked slowly towards the door leading out of the hospital. "C'mon. I need some fresh air. I'vr been cooped in here too long." He waved to Sally and walked outside. He inhaled deeply. "Ahhh...that feels good." He said.​

Xara grinned and walked along side Xioimara, following behind Toki. "Nice to meet ya, Toki." Xara then stuffed the tennis ball back inside her jacket and stretched out. "So, what are we going to do now?"

 

Toki paused for a second. "Hmmmm...wanna walk around Twilight Town?" He asked the pair. "I haven't explored Twilight Town yet." He looked around.​

Xioimara hadn't thought of anything to do. She looked at Toki. It was up to him for now. He suggested exploring Twilight Town. "Sounds good to me."

 

"What's left of it anyways... it's kind of discombobulated from a battle." Xara shrugged her shoulders as she stepped outside, looking around the town. There had to be some places left worthy to explore.

 

Toki smiled. "Let's head out!" He said, looking at everything. He enjoyed being outside again. He looked back towards Xara. "So...what do you like to do?" He asked her.​

 

Xiomara's form shifted as they headed out. She trotted quietly next to Xara and Toki. She felt like being quiet and just listening to them talk. The heat of the day was becoming intense, and as such, the wolf became calm. Almost lethargic like.

 

Xara shrugged her shoulders a bit while walking, not really sure what she liked to do. "I guess anything that seems fun to me. I don't have much of a hobby or anything like that. What about you?" These convos were sometimes boring to Xara, but it was to be nice to continue them. She looked at the wolf then back up again. So many friends she made in one day, it was almost overwhelming.

Toki shrugged. "Like you I guess." He said. "Anything that's fun or that makes your adreniline pump." He looked around the city. This part was especially ruined. "How did this happen?" He asked, looking concerned.​

Xioimara padded quietly beside the others as she listened to them speak. She didn't quite feel like observing the town and had her eyes focused on the ground in front of her. "Fight." She guessed, considering the damage she had taken upon her body in the last forty-eight hours or so.

 

"A fight caused all this?" Toki asked, surprised. "That must've been a hardcore fight." 'Wow, who could caused this much damage?' He thought. He took out Requim of Wind. He smiled.​

 

The wolf stood back as Toki suddenly took out his weapon. A low growl echoed from her throat. Deep but loud. She kept an eye on him as her body stiffened up, not quite sure if she could trust him. After all, they were enemies no more than a day ago.

 

He noticed Xioimara step back. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I just wanted to see Requim of Wind again. It's been a while." He levitated in the air for a second but fell to the ground. "My powers..." He said. "Hmmm...I just need to practice more."​

 

She edged away from Toki. The red fur on the back of her neck still standing. The red and tan canine simply watched Toki. Her ears faced forward as she watched his every move.

 

"Relax Xioimara." He said. "I'm not going to hurt you. I just wanted to see if I need to refresh my skills or not." He looked down at Reqium of Wind and sheathed it. "And apparently I do." He said with a smile.​

 

Xara watched the two of them for a moment, not sure what to think about the sudden reaction of the wolf and the boy trying to use his powers. She pulled out her tennis ball from her pocket and tossed it up in the air, catching it again when it came down. "Where to go..." she sighed out.

 

Xioimara relaxed once Toki put away his weapon. Xioimara watched Toki for a few seconds. She then looked at Xara and, without hesitation, focused on the tennis ball in her hand.

 

Toki sighed. His muscles were still a little sore. "Hey, do you guys know a place to relax and unwind?" He asked. "My muscles still ache."​

 

Xara turned her hand around and started to bounce the tennis ball against the ground, since she was getting bored of tossing it up in the air. "Actually, we just came from a waterfall... but uh, that's not the best place to go right now." Xara remembered that her Somebody was still there... and she wanted to wait a bit before she had to confront her again.
