The Infected

Rita sat next to Xioimara. She closed her eyes and leaned back, relaxing

 

Sinder found the portal Xara had left for her. She walked through it and found herself by a waterfall. "Hey everybody," she said as she looked down at them. Her scales got a little damp from the mist that the waterfall made.

 

Xioimara looked at Rita and smiled. Sinder arrived not too much later. Xioimara's tail thumped against the ground for a little bit. She listened to the sound of the water. The mist lightly spraying her. It felt so nice and refreshing.

Xioimara stood up and shook herself off. She stepped into the water. She didn't go to far in, just far enough for it to cover her paws.

 

Xara looked up at Sinder and smiled. "Hey! Glad you could make it." Xara kicked back and leaned against a tree, watching FH play not too far away from them. She was in the process of catching a buttefly. It's a nice day today..."

 

Rita looked up at Sinder. Not sure what to say to her after last time, she just smiled at her.

 

The wolf turned and faced the others. Xioimara dropped onto her stomach in the water. It felt like it was melting her pains away. She watched Sinder and the others. They weren't really talking. It felt nice and a little awkward. Xioimara was never one for starting or continuing conversations.

 

Sinder laid down in the cool water and closed her eyes. She needed to relax after what had happened in the past few days. The water felt good against her scales. "Xioimara, why do you intend to fight even if it puts you in this condition?"

 

Xioimara looked at Sinder calmly. She rested her head on her paws. "No use living if you're throwing your pride away." She answered quietly. "Why do you ask?" She closed her eyes as well.

 

Xara smiled quietly and reached her hand in her backpack. She pulled out a fuzzy tennis ball and examined it. When there was nothing much to do, Xara would bounce it against anything that was bouncable. She found a nice smooth stone and started to bounce it against that, catching it when it came back up to her hand.

 

Rita Closed her eyes, she thought about Toki and how he was doing, she thought about Sinders reaction to Toki's love for herself, she thought about Blade, where he was skulking, she thought about the three boys, who like to play hero. She sighed all these things were making her head hurt.

 

"Because I see no point in fighting. I don't know why fighting is so common if there is truly no point," Sinder said to Xioimara.

 

"It's just part of my nature. My ancestors fought to survive. My parents did. I do." She enjoyed her fights or hunting. It made her feel powerful when she one. It made her blood and heart pound. It made her feel invincible.

 

Namine looked around, "hey, when do you think Kairi and Sora are going to come back?" she asked.

Riku shook his head, "I dunno, but that was funny," he said, thinking back to a few minutes ago, when Kairi had dragged Sora off by the ear to go see what was going on in the forest.

Roxas just shrugged.

Meanwhile...

Kairi and Sora walked out by the waterfall, and Kairi instantly realized that Xiomera was hurt, "hey, what happened to you?" she asked.

 

Xara looked up to see more people coming to the waterfall. 'Everyone sure has a lot of buddies.' Xara caught her tennis ball and looked at it. She was debating on leaving them. Obviously, her work was done here.

FH was getting farther and farther away from the group, chasing a little yellow buttefly. She almost had it, it was just out of her reach! FH saw it landed on a flower and watched it with her beady yellow eyes. She then stalked it, and then pounce ontop of it. "RAWR!" But the buttefly escaped and flew off. "Awwww... phooey."

 

Without waiting for a response, Kairi raised her keyblade, "Cure!" she said, casting the spell on Xiomera.

Sora just looked around, it was an odd group to be sure.

 

"Got into a fight with a bear." Xioimara said to Kairi. The wolf was about to introduce herself when the girl suddenly said something and raised a weapon, or so it appeared. She jumped back a little. Xioimara felt the pain from her body lift away after a few moments. "Wow." Xioimara stretched out. She couldn't feel the pain in her wounds though they still stayed there.
"Amazing..." She quietly said. "I'm Xioimara and you are...?" The wolf started.

 

Rita got up and looked at the two strangers that had just appeared. She looked at the boy who reminded her of Riku and Roxas

 

Kairi looked at Xiomera, "I'm Kairi, this is Sora," she said.

Sora looked at Rita, she was looking at him rather strangely, "do I know you?" he asked.

 

"Nice to meet you." Xioimara laid back down in the water and rested her head back on her paws. "Relax with us." She invited as the water rolled over her paws and through her fur.

 

"No but I think I know your friends" She stared at him. "Do the names ; Riku and Roxas ring any bells?"
