The Infected

Sinder followed Xioimara and howled at the moon too. "Yes, that was very fun," she said happily. The darkness that pulsated out of her lessened some. "The morning is almost here", she growled under her breath. Then she stood and roared so loud that it could be heard for miles. Her black and red scales glinted in the moonlight.

 

The wolf let out one last deep sorrowful howl. She heard footsteps. Her ears twitched. Xioimara looked over at Toki. Yes, her defeated rival. Still in agony from their fight. Xioimara watched him carefully. She felt powerful yet calm as the last of the moon's power pulsed through her veins. He didn't have any weapons on him for the time. Her red eyes grazed over Toki. She was well aware that her time here was done as she knew that Toki was friends with this dragon. Xioimara stood up and started away from the couple.

 

"What are you doing here human?" Sinder said to Toki, when the full moon is out she forgets who is friend and who is ally. "You have no business here," she threatened with her horns, which were directed towards him. Her claws dug into the earth.

 

Toki stilled approached, heading more towards Sinder. "Hey...you guys." He said, trying to act as calm as possible. He was scared that he would be attacked when he was vulnerable. "Sinder...." He said. "It's me, Toki. Remember?" He didn't know that she was calming down but thought she was still angry. He tried to smile but his fear stopped him from doing so. He looked at the moon. "Looks like a full moon tonight." He said. He looked back towards Sinder, then at Xioimara. "Where are you going?" He asked. He wanted to try and be as friendly as possible with her.​

 

Sinder laughed at his question, "I do not know anyone by that name. Now go or you'll have to deal with me." She swung her great horns and bladed tail around threateningly.

 

"He's your friend." Xioimara stopped and looked back at Sinder as she threatened Toki.
"I'm calm for now. I don't need fighting." She said to Toki. Xioimara didn't have a very trustworthy feeling towards Toki after early though he had been the one to get hurt. "Still in pain?"

 

Toki nodded, still clenching his stomach. "That was a strong kick you got there." He said. He was surprised that Xioimara was trying to help him by calming Sinder down. His fears went away. He managed to crack a smile and sat down.​

 

The sun came up and with its rays transformed Sinder back into her human form. As it did she let out a cry of pain towards the sky. Immense rays of black light shone from her mouth and eyes. Then there was a bright light and she lay unconscious on the ground.

 

"Ancient blood runs in my veins." Xioimara commented. She sat down as the sun rose and looked over at Sinder. If she didn't remember her friends when she was beast would she remember Xioimara?

 

Toki stood up and ran to her. "Sinder!" He yelled as he ran. He knelt next to her body. He looked up towards Xioimara. He nudged her shoulder to see if she would wake up.​

 

A pure black dragon form with red eyes made out of pure darkness came out of Sinder's body. It roared as it dissipated into nothingness. The outline of Sinder's dragon form came and went a few times before she woke up. Her eyes opened and she looked at Toki. "T-Toki?"

 

Xioimara watched Sinder. She sat calmly, a small distance from the two. The sun was quickly starting to warm the air. Xioimara laid down in the cool grass, her back to the others. Xioimara didn't have much to comment on about the transformation. She was the same, except that she could control herself to an extent. Her personality was quickly shifting as she felt a little tired and lonely. Xioimara tried to push away the sadness.

Toki smiled. "It's me, Sinder." he said warmly. "Are you all right?" He looked at Xioimara again. "She looks sad." He said to her. He held out his hand for Sinder to grab it.​

 

Sinder grabbed Toki's hand and got up. Then she dusted herself off and went to Xioimara. "That was fun, we should do that again."

"Yeah." Xioimara wagged her tail gently. She wished they had caused more damage to the town than striking fear into the hearts of just a few people. She wondered if Sinder could breathe fire... Then they could do a real toll on Twilight Town.

 

"I bet we could've done better," Sinder said as she sat down next to Xioimara. "I could've used my fire to burn some buildings down. But oh well, interference messes with plans."

Mark watched from a distance, as the two evil ones were conversing, I knew something was off about her, he thought.

Roxas and Riku peered out from the shaddows, watching both Mark, and Snider and Xiomara.

 

Xioimara felt a cool breeze through her fur. Her ears perked up as the wind carried a familiar scent. She couldn't quite identify it but it had been a while since she had been to the forest. Perhaps it was just the lingering smell of hunters. Hunters. Xioimara glanced around to see if anyone else was around. It was only them as far as Xioimara could tell. "It'll be more fun next time." She said in a distant voice. Xioimara felt it safer to be in her human form, god forbid there were hunters, she wouldn't be mistaken as a target. Xioimara brushed her fingers through her thick hair and bangs. She hated this form. It just made her feel so... Awkward.

 

Sinder smelt humans but it didn't bug her. She just plucked the grass out of the ground and enjoyed the cool breeze. "You smell them too don't you?" she whispered to Xioimara, her lips unmoving.

 

Etain took her Ancient Fairy Dragon form and headed for Twilight Town. Maybe Her brother could help her out of this mess. She wanted to be her old self again, not infected and part of some evil group. “I hope he can forgive me for what I did to him earlier.” She thought sadly to herself.
