The Hunted

"hey did you hear me Kaya?" Burst said leaning in Kaya's line of sight. "Hello??" Burst chuckled.

 

Atrium was sitting underneath a tree outside a building with her sowrd next to her and bow in lap reading a book

 

"Huh?" Kaya looked over at Blaze. She jumped a little seeing him close to her face. She leaned back, and took a step away from him. "Sooo... I'm promoted? Or is Kumiko promoted? You got me lost there..."

 

atrium was sitting and she looked up adn saw kaya what the?

 

Burst slams his face into his right palm. " You are, ya big bottle of crazy sauce!" Burst said laughing. Looking inbetween his fingers he could see some one not to far away from them "Is that..Atrium over there??" he said pointing his face still burried in his hand, "I THINK IT IS HEY ATRIUM COME OVER HERE" Burst jumped and shouted while waving his arms in the air.

 

Kaya was still very confused. She stood there, blinking blankly. "Uh..." She let her arms relax by her sides. Blaze just made things so confusing sometimes.

 

Atrium jumped and pulled the sword a fraction of the way out of her sheath staring at the window then realised it was burstt...sighed and got up put it away and waved to him and walked over

 

Burst watched Atrium walk over and wondered, "why is she so serious all the time its not like we're gonna get attacked out here we've been here for years and nothing has happend...Maybe she's trying to get promoted too?" Burst then blurted out "THAT'S IT IT HAS TO BE HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" But then realizing what he just said started to turn bright red and sat down in the grass looking up at everyone. "I hope no one read my mind" he thought, "Atrium would kill me if she knew i thought she was just a serious sam all the time"

 

Atrium ust stared at birst with a wierd look. she closed her eyes and gave a weak smile hey burst its ok i wont you kill you...no not yet and she sat infront of him with a weak smile

 

Kaya quietly watched Atrium. Sometimes this girl scared her. Sometimes she could be joking around, or sometimes dead serious. She pulled her hat back down over her eyes, creating a shadow over them. It was a habit she had since she got this hat. It was like her security blanket, only more grown up.

 

Atium turned her head and saw kaya hey kaya i um...uh i heard you got promoted im happy for you atium gave another weak smile and she unsheathed he sword running her fingers across the blades edges gently

 

Kaya then finally realized it. She was the one that got promoted. She blinked a little, and then said quietly, "Thanks..." She looked down at the sidewalk. 'I guess.' Her? Promoted? She didn't exactly consider herself to be a leader type person. She was the one to follow everyone else. Why was she getting promoted? So many questions were criss-crossing back and forth in her mind.

 

Atrium gave a little sigh and threw her sword into the sky stood up held her sheath out looked at the sky then smiled at every one and the sword flew into the sheath and she hooked it to ehr side and pulled out a book

"HEY HEY HEY!!" Burst yelled scrambling to his feet "If you break that one I'm not making another one do you know how hard it is to find quality metal in this city!" he said folding his arms and noticing a piece of metal coil laying on the ground quickly looking away from it hoping the others wouldn't notice it.

 

Atrium gave burst a death look and quetly but agrily stated:this isnt one of those swords you amde me that break as if it were made of unfinished clay this was my fathers sword she hooked the sheath to her hip hooked her bo with quiver on back adn using her extened speed quickly stepped to burst side whispered into his earill be over there if you need me and jumped exstensively high into the air into a tree half amile away andclosed her eyes

 

Kaya tucked her hands nervously behind her back. "Well... that went well..." she said sarcastically. She then faced Blaze, examining him closely. "So this "promotion"... what is it exactly. You said something about being a leader and making a squad, but I think I heard it wrong..." Kaya felt her heart racing fast, but kept her inner fears from leaking out. She kept telling herself over and over again in mind that she wasn't a leader and she couldn't lead. Why her then?

 

Burst rolls his eyes at Atrium. "Sometimes she's so over dramatic" after a few seconds he realized that Kaya asked him a question. "Oh, well titan said you've been doing so good that he wants to give you your own squad of people like you" stops and thinks for a minute..."THAT SON OF A!!" Burst pauses and looks around at everyone. "Guys we have to go see Titan....I know what he's doing" starts walking and motions for everyone to follow.

 

Atrium Smiled and jumped down out of the tree and started walking next to burst smiling.were off to see TITAN woot.

 

"Uh..." Kaya stared at Blaze blankly, but then she shrugged her shoulders. 'Ah, I guess something else came up then.' She breathed out slowly and then followed Blaze and Atrium quietly, trying to figure out what brought this up so suddenly. She made sure she was at least two feet behind those two and looked to the side, watching the city world go by in a calm bliss.

 

Atrium resumed her sad face and started to string her bbow and notched an arrow and kept pace.
