The High Seas

Kate, after discovering half the crew hadn't returned from last nights little outing, sighed. She wasn't feeling in the best condition due to the drinks she had last night but she knew she had to just get on with things. Plus the captain, (if he had returned after last night, she hadn't dared check his quarters), would probably give her the job of rounding up the missing crew. Feeling her head ring, she walked out onto the deck for fresh air and just gazed out to sea.

 

Conny Brady wandered around, looking at all the ships until he saw her, "Missus Kate!" he called out to her. Running to the end of the deck and looking up at the ship, since he didn't have permission from her or his Captain to board the ship, "Missus! Lady Kate! Cap'n Leighton asked me to give a present to you in honor of...uh, talkin' to him I guess."

 

upon reaching port John got off the ship first chance he got to go see the king "hopefully he is in a good mood" he thought remembering the destroyed ship.

 

Kate frowned briefly before smiling, "Why thank you" She walked over the gangway (OOC: boardwalk? plank? What's it called the thing that creates a path the ship and the dock?) "Do you want to come abroad, so I can find you something for your trouble?" She asked as she wondered why Dante had given her a pesent or if there was a catch.

 

Conny cautiously stepped aboard, "Uh, it's all right missus, ya don't have'ta give me nuttin. I was just followin' orders. Cap'n Leighton's been feeling grateful you even talked to him when he was drunk. He wanted to apologize if he done anything bad to ya."

 

Kate smiled, "Why so nervous? I'm not going to eat you. But even following orders, you still treked out to find me and your Captain shouldn't worry, he was fine" She walked across the deck as she spoke, looking for something to give the boy for his trouble.

 

Mya nodded and watched the ships enter and leave the dock. You could say that.

 

Blade crossed his arms and smiled "thats good to know" Blade said "so whats our agenda?" Blade said

 

Mya sighed. Looking for more people to join my crew. She kicked the plank down and walked to the dock.

 

Blade jumped off of the railing of the ship and landed next Mya and walked beside here with his hands in his pockets "so whats your story? why did you become a pirate? you don't have say anything if you don't want to" Blade said calmly

 

Mya sighed. It wasn't my decision to be a pirate. I am what I am now because of my father. They kidnapped me 10 years ago so I can carry on his legacy. And fair to say, it worked out pretty well. It's odd seeing a female pirate ESPECIALLY a captain, but things just happens. She headed towards the bar, hoping people were willing to recruit.

OOC: Ok guys. All of the OCs will eventually lead to an island called "Devil's Wheel" I'll plan to make out its formation, size, and appearance.

 

"I see then" Blade said as he walked into the bar "I used to be a pirate myself but I gave that up" Blade said with his eyes closed

 

Mya grabbed a cup of beer and stared at it. I don't mind. I loved my crew and my ship. I wouldn't want to replace it with anything else on life.

 

Blade grabbed the handle of the glass that held his beer and closed his eyes "be warned. The role of a captain is a huge responsibility. Everything can go downhill without a captain" Blade said opening his eyes as he suddenly noticed his grip had tightened too tightly on the handle of his glass and had broken the handle "tsk damn" Blade muttered

 

Mya ignored Blade's words and sipped her beer. After a while, she felt slightly lightheaded and woozy, but shook off the feeling.

 

Blade grabbed the whole glass and gulped down his beer. Over the years he had gained a tolerace over beer so he could drink a lot without getting drunk

 

Mya drank the rest of her beer and sighed. Hey Blade, why did you come here in the first place.?

 

"to find a place I can get some assignments" Blade said grabbing another beer "or maybe because it reminds me of the times when I was a pirate" Blade said

 

Conny silently followed her, "But, ya see, that's what's uh, wrong. Cap'n was gonna do something bad, we, Alistar and I could see it in his eyes. Just the way he was lookin' at you when he cornered you on the ship." He nervously looked up at her, "Missus, would you be afraid of the Cap'n if he did bed you?"

 

OOC: Oh god the language you're using is totally making the conversation so awkward DX

BIC: Mya nodded. Sounds fair. You can't really forget your past. Mya accidentally dropped her empty cup and not really noticing. I'm feeling a bit off today...
