Kingdom Hearts II The heartless and Nobodies

By now it's common knowleadge that only the keyblade bearer can trully distroy a heartless because if anyone else does the released heart just reforms into another heartless. This got me thinking since Nobodies don't release anything when distroyed does that mean anyone can distroy them. What do you think?

 

Hmm, that is an interesting question.

I don't know about anyone, but I'm guessing they can atleast destroy their own kind. For example, didn't Axel destroy Vexen in RE:CoM? That's atleast acknowledgment that it doesn't take a keybearer to destroy them.

In addition, I think Repliku destroyed Zexion in RE:CoM as well. Not sure though.

 

It likely doesn't matter what kills a nobody.
Heartless are hearts surrounded by darkness. When the keyblade slain them it destroys the darkness surrounding the heart and frees it. Because nobodies are neither light or darkness, it looks like they simply have to be destroyed by anything weapon to be returned. Otherwise I can't see how they could bring back Axel. All they need it is the body and soul to be defeated to it can return to the heart waiting in darkness.
