That is a fantastic dream. Mad scientists wizards need to learn to share. But then again, since it was a mad scientists wizard's cookie dough, eating it probably would have turned you all into squirrels. Or lamps.

Hmm... Eternal Dreamer kinda matches your name, but I remember when you had the Mulan one, so I associate it with you a bit. The other two are cool, too, though, so... Erm, I vote a yes on all four? XD I know that doesn't help much. XD

The two gifs are of fairly low quality, and it's very hard to make out some of the text in the Eternal Dreamer one, so my vote would be on the Kitty Pryde one, which also matches your avatar since they're both comic-related.

I would vote Oracle just because she's awesome (and Steph and Babs are both DC), but if that's not on the table, definitely Kitty, like Pine said.

Also, pirates, I just remembered we've been in a space battle. XD Fortunately, the alien ships have all been heartlessly consumed because really, it serves them right for building their vessels out of cookie dough. XD However, we can't shake the feeling that something bigger is out there...

We hear a loud roar.

"But wait," someone says. "How can we hear a loud roar in space, especially safe and sound in our ship?"

The answer; for the same reason that ships made of cookie dough got this far into space in the first place, and because the captain is too busy putting off cleaning her house and packing for a trip to even post this much.

We all look around for the source of the roar, which appears to be a strange sort of asteroid field you paid no attention to before now.

Only... The asteroids appear to be blipping in and out of existence, and, even stranger, getting closer to the ship.

No one knows who realizes it first, but the instant someone shouts "IT'S A SPACE SERPENT," panic ensues.

The illusive, believed to be mythological, Space Serpent is a dragonlike snake that slithers through space, covered in metallic scales that, when reflecting certain angles, makes it seem almost invisible. Those asteroids you saw? That was the snake arcing its back and becoming partially visible as it drew closer.

Alright, pirates, look alive! Er, as alive as the undead can! Here be the beast!

Pine, you can totally eat it. After I kill it and send it down to the kitchens. Because eating Space Serpent raw gives you a tummy ache. Even ask our good doctor. Besides, it tastes fantastic with basil.

Okay guys, I'm no expert on Space Serpents. Is it best to hightail it out of here as fast as possible or stay still (maybe cut all engines) or move slowly and carefully? Any insight would be useful. Does this thing have a weak spot?

Either way, I'm ready and it won't find it so easy to take a bite out of this ship.

 

Hmm... I favor the idea of cooking it with basil. As for weak spots, I'm afraid I haven't planned that far ahead. Maybe he'll like, have a missing scale right over his heart which is a completely original idea and I didn't take that idea from some book or something. XD

 

I was thinking about how he sees, has it got normal vision, can it only see movement, or the sound/vibrations of the engine (not sure about sound as we're in space). Maybe it has a blind spot that I can get into? If I get us away from it at top speed will it give chase or just think we're too much effort? Is it naturally aggressive or will it only attack if we attack it? Is there a part of it that isn't as heavily defended like it's underbelly/mouth/nose /chin or can we blind it by getting it's eyes (depended on how it sees)? If I fly around it, can I effectively tie it in knots and restrict it's movement or is it very flexible and getting that close would be a very bad idea? Is the creature intelligent or does it work purely on instinct? Can we lure it away or lead it into a trap? If so what would be good bait? Is it after something on our ship or does it just plain want to eat us?

Just a few questions to give you an idea of some of the info that might be helpful.

 

Why don't we just wait for it to open its mouth to swallow us and then fire all lasers into its maw? Worked on the Nemean Lion.

 

Do we know it's speed? Interesting plan but it will have to get pretty close to us for it to open it's mouth and if it chomps down on us before we have chance to kill it, that's not good.
