It's official, Obama has been elected president of the United States.
What do you think will happen?

everyone says change is comming, but i don't see that happening. I don't think he will change anything, except the drop of the economy. I just have this odd feeling that something bad is going to happen to america within the next 4 years. they said "change is comming", but they didn't say it was for the better.

I think some things will get better and some will get worse. It's hard to predict the outcome of the next four years. XD

It's obvious things will change for the better and worst.
Obama seems to have a lot of goals, which could help America.
I can personally tell you guys that I don't care for either of them, but we should really give Obama a chance.

I put some things will get better and some will get worse. I'm a realist and I can only hope that the things that need to pull us away from a depression are the things that will get better at this point. Obama has his work cut out for him, thanks to the former ideologies. He's going to have to work very hard to fix things but so isn't the entire senate and congress. They've slacked off enough with the deregulation of too much in the wrong areas and putting regulation on the wrong things.

I think that some of the major problems that the USA has, like the trouble with the economy, will be improved, but others will remain the same. C'mon, its not as if overnight America is suddenly going to change - some scars stay on a country forever.

Judging from what Obama is planning to do: the economy will get worse or stay the same.

..And we'll pull out of the War on Terror like a scared dog with its' tail tucked between its' legs.

    What Obama doesn't understand:

Take away tax cuts from large companies and we will lose jobs, not create jobs.

'Taking from the rich and giving to the poor' seems like a bad idea. Now, it would be a good idea if he picked carefully who he gave the money to that the rich provided.

From what I can tell, Obama will give the money to the lazy and illegals.

Yeah, and the rich will save that money that they have or spend it on themselves. No thank you, I've seen enough with that from Bush.

    Anyway...

I say that he'll change some things, but not all. Too much damage done. But with a Democrat Congress, anything can happen.

My vote goes for worse. Hate to be the pessimist, but I can't have confidence in Obama. I just hope he proves me wrong...

my vote goes for "nothing will change" but i hope Obama proves me wrong too. i remember a politcian in my city that proved me wrong when he got into office. it was a mayoral race and the candidate i wanted to win didn't. i didn't think that the winning candidate would do a good job but i was wrong and now i fully support that candidate. maybe the same thing will happen with Obama, who knows, only time will tell.

I voted on the poll saying that some things will improve, but there will still be problems. Regardless of what anyone does, there is going to be some consequences behind those actions. For what if it's the immediate wrong plan that Obama has to free America's independence upon foreign oil? Where will he get the funding to make his visioniaries a reality? The solution that I see is taxing America to the brink of despair or printing out more money which then lowers the value of the US dollar. We can not subcumb to these measures not with the economy in the toilet.

I hope Obama will be a better president than Bush and that he'll make some things better. But there are always bad thing and no one can change that.
What I voted for was that while other things get better, others get worse. Because I don't think we can change that fact.

I think things will get worse. Biden even said that the other countries would be testing us if Obama was elected president. And I do think that it'll happen. So that's really not looking too good for us Americans...

I just hope Obama is a better president than Bush was. Bush would have to be one the worst presidents that will go down in history besides Clinton and we all know what he did to tarnish his name.

You gotta give Bush credit though. He had a lot thrown at him during his time in office. 9/11 especially. He promised America that there would not be another attack while he was president and it's true, America hasn't been attacked during the past 8 years.
