Very simple, I know. I use cronoking's tutorial for this by the way.

Any recommendations on how I could make it better?

 

I just noticed: there is a face at the back of the man. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~ lol. Quite good, but maybe use different gradients next time? so the colour varies?

 

Add some brushing rather than just the clouds filter to give the background some flair.

 

Make a glowing orb right by his hand, preferably blue, to make it look like the force.

 

xD I suck at brushing, but I guess it's inevitable that you'll have to brush at some point.
