I personally do not beleive in descriptions. You may look at someone and go "She's tall", or, "Wow, He's really stupid...", when there will always been someone worse.

To the girl that you think is tall, she thinks of you as small, however, there is a girl taller then her who she thinks is small, and there are people smaller then you who you'd consider small and who would consider you tall.

And for the boy who's stupid, often in his own mind his views and ideas make sense. By looking at him and saying he's stupid because he doesn't agree with you, he thinks YOU'RE stupid.

It's a viscious cycle, we all feed on each other by simple words like tall, small, or stupid, when this is just too vague. We are all small to someone, we are all tall to someone, no matter how smart you are, there will always be people who see you as stupid for what you know and beleive to be true, and therefore we are all the same. Descriptions are obsolete and futile, we are all the same person, because we have no descriptions, because we are all every description. By saying we are everything, we cancel out everything and and become nothing. When we are all nothing we are one.

    ...we are all one...O.o

I thought about this in 5th grade and remembered it all the way till now, and still stand by the fact that there is no such thing as descriptions. Any comments on my rantings?

It is very professional and it really gets you thinking. I've went into a circle of thoughts like that once before and it all leads around in a huge cycle of all of existance itself until you can't really find anymore answers at the end because you haven't been to the end yet. But, yeah, it does make sense and it's all very true.

No, there is such a thing as description.

If we didn't have description, then why do we even have color? Color is a state of appearance and reflection.

To me, You, Cin, seem to not understand how things work. You're right, those descriptions are too vague, but it's all because it's based off of comparison.

If I saw Cin and he was shorter than me, and me and him had never seen life PERIOD...I'd say "What's he doing down there?" and he'd probably say "What's he doin' up there?"

I just don't agree with Cin. xDDD Think more logically, Cin. You'll see my point. xP

It's not really a flaw of description but rather a flaw in the person saying it, people generally talk vaguly or sterotype someone it's their flaw for assuming for being vague.

Describtion is a part of life, it is what we use to tell the difference between people, like for intance i'm taller than that guy so we associate them with their description.

I think wat u just said Cin is compleate BS. A description is an observation of a physical trait. When some one says wow shes tall, just cuz there is some one taller somewhere doesnt mean that the girl isnt tall, it just means that there is someone taller than her so that she has someone to call tall. And to her, depending on whether or not you are, u may not seem short. she understands that shes abnormally sized and that u are not. and we are not all one, cuz if we were, the wiping out of races would directly affect you, and so many societies are gone and many of them had almost no affect on you. and as a side note, thanks for deciding to follow my teachings

Everything in history affects us in someway Budabuda. And we are all one, becuase we are everything, we are tall, small, stupid. We are everything and therefore nothing. Because we are all nothing we are the same and therefore one.

Also, she is tall, but she is also tall. If she is both then what is she? Tall or small? Tall and small cancel each other out, by saying she's both you say she's neither. And we're all like that, we're all everything, so technically nothing, because for every description there's a counter-description.

I'm not saying we are all one, hell I'm not sure what I'm saying. I'm just trying to tell you guys a trail of thoughts that I had a long time ago.

Well, that's the biggest bull**** I've ever read xD.

There is such thing as description.

We are all nothing? I laughed when I read this. Are you just trying to be all mysterious?

I mean, honestly. Think about what you're saying.

Cin, we are not all the same. Pay attention to the melecular makeup of mankind. None of us are the same, even in the sense that you speak. Something that is both doesn't mean it's not both as well.

If I am green and red, then does that also mean I'm NOT green and NOT red?

Think about what you're saying. xDDD

On a side note: Why would we be everything? We are small, tall, skinny, fat, overweight, sure. But are we composed of pure plasma? be a little more specific. xP

He's right. Descriptions are truly only a comparison of something else.

Tall but also tall? and not everything in histroy affects us, please explain how the name of the first mayan ruler affects me. And she is still tall but smaller than someone else. she isnt neither she is both. tall and small only cancel eachother out when there is an equal # of people on both sides of the discriptions. If it is exactly equal she isnt nothing, she is what is in between small and tall, middle sized

That's even MORE vague. Your definition of middle sized in that post could mean tall or small somewhere else, not JUST middle sized.

I think this discussion is impossible to really understand. xD

Well...YEAH...we're discussing the thoughts of MY twisted little mind, right?XD

Anyway, I guess this only works with comparative descriptions, though it makes sense in theory, in real life this isn't true. I'll admit that.

    Anyway, thanks for reading everyone...^^

Cins view reminds me of a certain cynic named Jim. sure the thought makes sense but I don't agree it's playing off of the perceptions as seen by others. Perceptions are very numerous and yes they all differ but what matters is thinking small. Concern yourself with what you are seeing and feeling and not trying to make every little possible view into a separate benchmark interfering with everything else. I feel stupid Bye now.
