The Final War, Light Vs Dark

As Kingdom Hearts revealed itself in the sky, Xero looked up at it as did everyone else. To her, it was a rather pretty sight, but knew that it was now time for the war. She swallowed back her fear and took a deep breath and then exhaled. She noticed that Gexln looked over to her, "You ready for this? Once we step through here, there's no going back." Xero walked toward him and stared at the dark corridor. She then looked over to Gexln and took a step closer as she looked at the ground. She then wrapped her arms around Gexln and hugged him, "Just don't do anything reckless..."

Valinton looked up at the sky and then over to Kaya, "Looks like this is it." He said, his expression rather serious, "You ready?"

 

Lysa rolls her eyes as Beuce starts to 'play' his keyblade, "great... now you ruined a song that I actually liked..." she murmurs, she was happy to see that Caleb wasn't significantly wounded from the incident during their sparring rounds, but the sight of all the Keyblade Gliders taking off around her brought her back to the moment. Quickly sheathing her sword, the thief leaps into the air, landing on Caleb's wing just before he shoots off into the sky, and gives the swordsman a wink. Then she kicks off and lands perfectly in the cockpit of her gumi fighter, which she quickly preps for takeoff and then brings into a hover.

The Gumi fighter, unlike the Keyblade gliders, was fully enclosed, with a quadruplet of laser cannons and a solitary missile launcher. What the thing lacked in arcane beauty, it made up for in sheer effectiveness, and as the twin engine pods mounted to the ship's wings burn to life, shooting her off into the sky after the Keyblade gliders, Lysa's slender fingers wrapped surely around the control stick. For Sapphire she thinks to herself, determination giving her the self-confidence to go up against people who wielded weapons that were supposedly signs of special gifts. The Thief didn't care, she'd always made her own luck in such situations, and no magical key-club was going to scare her off.

Gexln froze. Before Xero, it had been years since he had had a friend, and now he was getting a hug? I must be getting soft, geeze he thought to himself. Hesitantly, he hugged Xero back. "It's me, of course I'm going to do something reckless. No need to worry though, I'll be fine, I don't think the people on the other side have anyone that'll cause me trouble" Gexln replied with a slight laugh. He then let go of Xero, and looked at the dark corridor he had created. "Besides, if anything does go wrong you'll be there to have my back right?" the Nobody added, as he stepped into the dark corridor.

 

It appeared. Finally, the goal in which he was seeking: Kingdom Hearts. A dark grin appeared across his face. "The bloodshed battle to settle the domain of the ultimate force is to commence. I am drooling with excitement." Enox looked over to the other darks as well as Dawn whom still looked at him oddly. "Come with me child. You being that of light cannot access the powers of darkness... yet." He spoke to her, opening a dark corridor.

Dawn followed him with a determined look. Finally some recognition. Her father may have died and been reincarnated into a Nobody, but at least he finally took notice to her. It was always Dusk this and Dusk that when he was a Somebody. Now she could show him how strong she really was. How much of her mother she carried over.


Dusk simply followed along not really carrying what happened. As long as he got to beat some bad boys and find his father, he was simply alright with it. Bloodshed didn't really mean anything if they were all doing this for the wrong reasons.

Xero was a bit surprised after she felt Gexln hug her back, she honestly didn't expect him to.. Her face then began to have a small hint of red around her cheeks. "It's me, of course I'm going to do something reckless. No need to worry though, I'll be fine, I don't think the people on the other side have anyone that'll cause me trouble" as Gexln let out a small laugh Xero smiled a bit and she let go of him.

"Besides, if anything does go wrong you'll be there to have my back right?" She heard Gexln say as he walked through the corridor. She then let out a small laugh as she said, "Yeah.." and followed him through the corridor.

Xero looked around to see hundreds -no- millions of Keyblades stuck into the ground. She looked over to Gexln as she spoke, "Where are we..?" She looked around the barren wasteland of Keyblades to see if any of the lights have arrived as well but didn't seem to see anyone yet.

"An ancient battleground. The setting of the decisive battle in the previous keyblade war." Xindai said from nowhere, answering Xero's question. "If you think it's impressive now, you should have seen it when these weapons had wielders. The sound of clashing metal and flying spells was a symphony worthy of these sacred lands." The dark creator said, implying he'd been there to witness the battle. By this point, he had already extracted the strategies of both sides from the minds of those around him. What's more, he founds something interesting in Louvel's mind. A strategy that not even the other lights knew about. 'Oh? Now there's an interesting turn of events. Perhaps i can even work this in my favor...' He thought to himself, but that was a ways away, right now, there was a war to be fought. Xindai stood, staring at Louvel with his mismatched eyes as though looking straight through him. He wasn't seeing an enemy, he was seeing a pawn.​

"He's right. This is the land first created by Kingdom Hearts. All else was crafted around this. It has been the arena of battle more than once before, and is destined to be so again." The heartless said, then looked up as the other lights began to arrive. Everything, even the conflict between the light and dark, had and ending. R knew that whether victory or demise awaited him, this was that ending. Talking was pointless. This war was inevitable. R extended his left hand and spoke the name of the ability he used. "Dark Reaper." A pole appeared from the ground, and gradually a blade elongated from it to form a scythe. It was a massive weapon, easily twice the size of it's wielder, yet R swung it into a stance as though it had the weight of a single feather. He lunged at Louvel with alarming speed, but was blocked by the arrival of an ally.​

"BACK OFF SCARFY NO ONE HURTS PANTYKNOTS!" He sceamed, successfully intercepting the attack with his glider. If R found the phrase odd, he didn't show it. "Caleb! You know what to do!" Beuce said, dismounting his glider and facing R. ​

 

Upon seeing Kingdom Hearts in the distance, Kel simply sighed before turning to the other Kel. "Keep those special abilities of your under wraps unless you need to use them." Those power could be a problematic force for both sides, though he had his own tricks if he was needed to step in. For now however, he summon his keyblade and turned it into a glider. When that was taken care of, he climbed on it and flew off.

The other Kel however wasn't all to sure about what he'd just said. This was a war, why would he need to hold back. Clearly he had powers of own that could aid in victory. He just couldn't figure it out. Still the time had draw so after summoning his gliders, he headed towards Kingdom hearts.

Xross and Ace entered the corridor that Enox formed cause why not.

Caleb, standing a fair distance away, nodded as Beuce souted to him. He had only just arrived at the keyblade graveyard, and already the war was starting. Caleb closed his eyes in concentration as a faint glow formed around the warrior.
"I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unaware of loss, Nor aware of gain
Withstood pain to create weapons, waiting for one’s arrival
I have no regrets. This is the only path
My whole life was unlimited blade works"

The chant was over quickly, and as he finished speaking them Caleb felt a surge of power rush through him. Hundreds upon hundreds of blades began floating in the air, and immediately the attack had begun. The blades surged towards R and the other darks, many of them aiming directly for R while many more still stuck into the ground around Beuce, giving him many weapons to use.

Gexln raised an eyebrow as he saw the weapons flying at R and the rest of them. So, the boy from Twilight Town was there too? That could make things interesting. Gexln wasn't about to let R fall though, he would be the one to do that, if anyone. He over to near R and then quickly formed a barrier made of the purest darkness, blocking the blades that flew at R and causing them to clatter uselessly to the ground. He wasn't able to sit still for very long though. He looked over at Caleb. Gexln knew that the plan was to work with Xero, but there was no way he was going to let someone else get to the boy before he could. He opened up another dark corridor and leaped into it, emerging from it right next to Caleb.

Seeing Caleb was distracted by his unlimited blade works attack, and focusing very much, Gexln landed a solid punch to Caleb's stomach, winding the boy and causing the attack to stop. The Nobody then grabbed Caleb and opened up a third dark corridor and tossed Caleb into it before jumping into it himself. In the span of a few seconds, Gexln had managed to stop the unlimited blade works attack, land a good hit on Caleb, and then move both himself and Caleb a great distance away from the others. Gexln waited as Caleb got to his feet. "So, come back to die have you?" he taunted.

Caleb grunted a little and stood up. The hit had hurt, that much was certain. Not enough to slow him down, but he had certainly felt the impact. In response to Gexln's taunt, Caleb shook his head. "I'm not going to be the one to fall here" he replied. He then summoned a blade to his hand, a japanese katana. He wanted to use the keyblade, but he was not experienced with it and it would probably only hold him back. The warrior then stood in a defensive stance, and waited for Gexln to make his move.

Kaxar hadn't been able to get off her keyblade glider. From the moment she had arrived there had been fighting already, and as she was about to get off she saw, of all people, Gexln emerge from a dark corridor and take himself and Caleb away. They hadn't gone extremely far, Kaxar could still see them, but it would take a bit to get to them. She zoomed along on her keyblade glider towards the two, hoping to get there before something terrible happened.

Ananta smiled and stepped towards the girl. "You should try to get your keyblade armor to appear at the least. We need that the mo-" she stopped as she felt something strange. Looking around she watched as the sky grew darker. Looking up, her eyes widened as she saw a heart shaped moon appear. Grinding her teeth, she turned towards the girl.

"Look, we have to hurry. This war is starting soon. Really soon." she spoke frantically. Grabbing Annabelle's arm, she focused and closed her eyes. She muttered a few words as her crystal around her necklace let off a faint glow. Ananta opened her eyes again and looked at her. "I'm giving you a bit of my light to help you call the armor to you. You need this armor more than anything right now." she frowned at her.

"Now, please, try calling it to you."

 

Eon entered the corridor of darkness along side Dawn. Moments later they would arrive at the Keyblade Graveyard. Many times before a war was fought here. Many more were surely to come, unless he could gain the power of Kingdom Hearts and put an end to suffering. An end to pain... an end to weakness.
"Come girl. You shall know what true harmony is like once this war has ended. I shall open my arms to you child. You will do well." Those felt like the right words to say. He still had no idea who this girl was but she seemed to approve of them.
"ARMY OF HEARTLESS AND NOBODY. HEAR MY WORDS. ATTACK THOSE WHO DENY THE DARKNESS. WIPE THEM OFF THE FACE OF THE PLANET!"

Her eyes widened as her father recognized her for such a task. She looked towards the other battlefield and glared towards the lights. She flicked her wrist to summon the Oathkeeper. "I shall fight alongside you. My only dream is to find acceptance in this world for everyone.

Dusk had activated his black keyglider and armor. Oblivion was a pretty amazing blade when it came to appearance and this was once of its greatest qualities. He reappeared to see the army of Nobodies and Heartless that stood before them. The strongest were surely in the back of them all. Dusk looked over to Kel (LvD). "How bout you say we win this war and show them that darkness will never subdue the light." He grinned.

Xero looked over to Xindai as he answered her question, "Knowing you, I'm guessing you've already figured out what our plans are for this war." She said. Xero suddenly saw Caleb use that same ability she saw him use when she first fought along side Gexln against him. As Gexln shielded R, Xero summoned her weapon and shouted, "Dark Barrier!" When she did a barrier appeared and deflected the weapons away from her, lucky she was stronger and could keep the barrier from shattering this time. When the weapons ceased, she saw Gexln take Caleb somewhere else.

Xero then ran past R and toward the boy who deflected R's attack earlier ((Beuce)), and jumped in the air and swung her scythe downward at the boy as she descended from the air, "Black Shockave!" As her blade made contact with the ground, a shockwave of dark energy exploded from the scythe and quickly shot toward anyone around her.

As Valinton arrived to the battlefield, he noticed everyone was already in battle. He took out his two Katanas and dodged the blades that came toward him and then looked over to see Dusk. He then ran over to him, his swords ready to attack. As Valinton ran toward him, he charged up a sphere of darkness then once he got close enough to the boy he launched the sphere at him.

Beuce was quick enough to get out of the way of Xero's strike "Dodge roll!" He said, rolling out of the way of the attack. "...Yeah. Dodge roll. I thought we were yelling the name of the moves we used." The white haired man told the reader. Enough breaking the fourth wall though, He turned to face R, completely ignoring Xero. He knew she'd have her hands full with someone else. ​

​

"Xero! Get Back into formation! assist Gexln!" R ordered. His tone let on that he wasn't ungrateful, but he needed to be strict and have them stick to the strategy if they were going to succeed. However, no sooner had he given the order, a massive bolt of purple electricity shot down from the sky in front of Xero. In it stood the assassin R had defeated once before, but something was different about him.​

​

The assassin shot a dangerous glance in R's direction, but his intent to kill was directed toward another member of the opposite force. The girl brandishing the scythe. She was a friend of the man Caleb sought to defeat. If she got in the way of that fight, it may well turn the tides against Caleb. He would hold her off until Caleb and Kaxar had finished off that man. That was their strategy. His unusually long Katana was pointed directly at Xero. ​

​

"So you do battle with us once more. I spared your life once as penance for what i caused you. I will not do so again." R warned the assassin grimly. His eyes told that what he said was the truth, and no mercy would be shown. R disliked killing, but that had never once stopped him from doing it if he thought it was neccesarry to achieve his goal, and this time would be no different.​

​

"You and i will not be battling, R." Satsujin said. This came as somewhat of a surprise. Last time he'd thought about nothing but killing R. Now, he was willing to let someone else have him for the sake of helping his comrades. He'd changed since last they met. Enmity flowed from him toward Xero. She was his target now. His gaze darted only momentarily to the side, checking to ensure that Beuce was between him and R. To be honest, he wasn't sure that Beuce could handle him. However, he'd supposedly defeated R once before. He'd just have to trust that it was true. The assassin pulled a Kunai from his Kimono and tossed it at the girl, an electrical explosion tag attached to the handle.​

​

​

Xindai stood back, watching the scene and baiting any lights foolhardy enough to attack him to come and try it. He let out an aura of thought around him, planting the idea in the enemy's heads that he was the most dangerous and had to be stopped at all costs, as though the other darks were meaningless in comparison. He'd go ahead and play along with R's little plan for the moment. Lead them all into the cliffs and wipe them out. However, Xindai had an agenda of his own. He began creating a network of individual "channels" to connect a telepathic line with just about everyone there. Friend and foe alike. He loved to show off his combat skills, but even more so, he loved to show off his lack of need to use them. He'd bring down their entire force from the inside out. ​

​

'Caleb, is that all you're going to do? Defence won't take him down. He'll break you, leaving you alive only long enough watch twilight town burn to the ground. He destroyed your home once, are you going to let him do it twice? if you're really so weak, i suppose it can't be helped' ​

 

​

Xero heard R shout at her to go help Gexln but as soon as she was about to take a step forward, lightning suddenly struck in front of her. This startled her and knocked her back but she caught herself before she could hit the ground. She held her scythe tightly as a man suddenly appered from the bolt of lighting. R seemed to know the man and she suddenly saw a sword being pointed at her. She just looked at the man confused as to why she seemed to be his target. But this was a war after all, she guessed anyone could be anyone's target right now.

Suddenly something was thrown at her, seeing this Xero quickly bent backwards and saw that it was a knife that was inches from her face, she stood back up and ran toward the man and slashed at him with her scythe, creating a crescent-shaped beam that shot out of the blade and toward him.

Destroyed my home? It was a heartless that destroyed my home, Kaxar already told me that. Who the hell are you anyway? I don't have time for this Caleb thought to himself, attempting to respond to the voice that had mysteriously appeared inside his head. He then began ignoring the voice, so that he could focus more on the battle at hand. He had lost the fight against Gexln before, he would not do it again. The voice was right though, defense probably wasn't going to work; it had failed him before. Caleb shifted his stance to a slightly more aggressive one.

Gexln noticed the shift in stance. "You think you can play rough with me and survive? You've got another thing coming" he taunted. He wasn't just fighting to win this battle, or to prove he was stronger this time, he was fighting for his very survival. If they lost the war, kingdom hearts was going to wipe them out, and he wasn't going to allow that to happen. Fortunately for him, Caleb had changed his stance to one of offence, which meant he would probably falter if heavy offence was applied back. Keeping this in mind, Gexln rushed forward with Darkness' Sorrow in hand and swung a mighty blow towards Caleb's side.

Kaxar willed her keyblade glider to go faster, not that it helped at all. She could see Caleb and Gexln fighting each other now, or at least Gexln was attacking and Caleb defending, each raining blow upon blow to each other. If she didn't get there soon, one of them would probably defeat the other. I'm almost there, just hang in there for a little longer, please! she thought, panicking.

Spoiler: basass theme is badass

R slowly advanced on Beuce, his massive scythe in hand. Darkness seemed to seep into the air around him. Perhaps it was. R's entire existance was one of the darkness. His cold and empty eyes were fixated on his target.​

​

Beuce was kind of intimidated by R, honestly. The slow walk, the large deadly weapon, the dramatic theme, it all just worked so perfectly. Yet, he charged anyway. His keyblade had been dismissed and he picked up two of the swords that Caleb left in the ground for him. One was placed in a high guard stance and the other a low guard. A leap was easily parried and a kick struck him in the back, sending him a ways off. Beuce rolled into a landing and turned to see the heartless relentlessly coming after him. This was going to be a tougher fight than he thought...​

​

R's scythe had an appearance similar to that of a spine, and there was a reason for it. with a leap into the air, R made a wide 180 degree sweep with his scythe. The "Vertebrae" disconnected, making the scythe far longer and more flexible. They were held together by elastic strands of darkness. Where the scythe made contact, black flames coated the ground. Beuce just barely managed to roll to the side before the heartless flew at him. His scythe temporarily dismissed and replaced by razor sharp claws and dark tattoos all over his body. ​

​

Beuce frantically parried and blocked the barrage of strikes. R's speed was unreal. If he hadn't been using two weapons instead of one, he'd never have been able to keep up. This was getting him nowhere. He was losing this fight pretty badly at the moment. He could barely defend, let alone go for the offensive. Finally, his guard slipped at a false strike the the head, which opened the way for an upward strike to the stomach with a warhammer R crafted on a moment's notice from the darkness. The hit was powerful enough to knock him to the air, and the wind right out of his lungs.​

​

R wasn't through yet. He seamlessly alternated between his attack styles. Next he launched a volley of orbs in his dark Sovereign mode, and called back his scythe. In it's extended mode, it caught Beuce by the back. It was only the quick think to lodge a sword between him and the blade that prevented him from being cut in half. Nevertheless, it retracted and pulled Beuce right toward him. However, R hadn't been expecting something as unrefined as a punch, and was caught off guard by it. ​

The assassin gracefully ducked under the cresent blade of darkness and ran toward his opponent. Speed was a defining attribute of his. When you're an assassin, it's neccessary. Once in range, Satsujin gave a wide curving slash. A trail of electricity followed his blade. ​

​

​

Xindai stared at Azurite charging toward him as though he were an ant. When Azurite reached him, Xindai teleported out of the way of the strike using the Star Crystal in his posession. From behind the black haired man, Xindai chuckled. "What are you aiming for? The affections of one Kaya, perhaps?" The nobody taunted. Meanwhile, he was connecting to others through his mental links. ​

​

'That's what she told you is it? Well i hate to tell you, but that's a far sight from the truth. She told you that to protect him. She cares nothing for anyone but him. I'd even be willing to bet she'll betray you for him. If you don't believe, then watch.'​

​

Through the line, Xindai sent thoughts in the form of images and sounds. He'd gotten them from when he looked through Kaxar's mind the first time. The events of when their world had been destroyed by Gexln. ​

​

In the meantime, Xindai had to make sure that Kaxar actually DID betray the light. A link was created, and a message sent through.​

​

'He'll die, you know. Gexln may be strong, but before Caleb's resolve to avenge his home, he'll fall soon enough. Who knows, perhaps you could have gotten Glen back. Perhaps you could have even meant...something more to him."​

 

​

I still will get him back Kaxar thought to herself. She didn't believe for a second that Gexln would fall. As she watched the battle between him and Caleb, it seemed he had the upper hand. Caleb was now on the defensive, and Gexln was the one doing all the attacks. It was almost certain that Gexln was going to win this one, and soon. And after that, I can get him b- her thoughts were interrupted as she saw Darkness' Sorrow get knocked out of Gexln's hands and stab into the ground a great distance away, followed quickly by Caleb's foot kicking Gexln to the ground. As she saw Caleb walk over and raise his sword above Gexln, preparing to deliver the final blow, Kaxar dove off her keyblade glider and, re-summoning her keyblade, slid beneath the blade as she blocked the strike with her keyblade.

​

Amongst the attacks, Caleb had been shown a dark and terrible truth. Who had shown him, he would never know, but it filled him with newfound determination. He was going to kill Gexln for what he had done. He took the opening the moment he saw Gexln slow down just a fraction, and within mere seconds Gexln found himself disarmed and knocked back onto the ground. "Now..now you're going to die for killing them!" he declared, and brought the blade down towards Gexln's unprotected heart. His eyes widened in shock when the blade did not pierce Gexln's heart, but rather was blocked by someone he had thought of as an ally until just then.

"Kaxar? You're pretty bold showing yourself after lying to me like you did" he spat out as he stepped back a little bit. He was furious, he felt betrayed, but he still held a sense of honour. He would not strike down a woman out of fury. He watched as Kaxar stood up and readied her keyblade. She stood in front of Gexln, and she looked very determined to stay there. "Get out of the way Kaxar. You are no ally of mine, not after you helped this monster destroy our village, and then protected him further by lying about it. I'm giving you one chance to get away, to survive, purely because I once thought of you as a friend" Caleb stated.

Kaxar shook her head. "I'm not going to let you kill him, Caleb, not while there's still a chance I can save him" she replied. Fiery determination set in her eyes; there was no convincing her to change her mind. Slight shock set in a little bit as Caleb shifted his stance into one of aggression.
"Then you will share the same fate as the one you are so determined to protect"

Xero parried the sword's blade with her scythe but failed to see the electricity emanating from the blade, she felt a rush of electricity run through her and she let go of her scythe and jumped back. She left her scythe on the ground, for it wasn't safe to pick up at the moment from the electrical charge. She stood there frantically trying to think of something to do now that she was unarmed.

Xero growled under her breath, "I guess I don't exactly have a choice right now.." she said. Xero closed her eyes and focused on all of her darkness, she felt it begin to flow out of her and when she opened her eyes a rather violent explosion of dark energy ignited around her. Once the dark cloud subsided Xero was in Anti-Form, "If you want speed, you've got it!" Xero said as she waisted no time and rocketed toward Satsujin at a blinding speed and then began to bombard him with multiple punches and kicks.

 

A little late to the battle, due to her ship's longer warm-up period, Lysa comes roaring out of the sky in her Fighter, making two passes of the battlefield, taking stock of the situation. She could see many of the individual lights and darks engaged in one-on one combat, which she could do nothing about in her fighter; however, there was what appeared to be a horde of Heartless and Nobodies, summoned by one of the Darks, a powerful-looking nobody whom she did not know to be Eon, as she had not spent considerable time in the war beforehand.
