The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Kaxar's eyes widened as Satsujin moved towards her, much faster than she had anticipated. The assassin appeared to not be holding back, which was good; it probably meant he believed she could handle it. She would show him that he was right. As he rushed at her with his weapon unsheathed, Kaxar attempted to block the strike. However, her keyblade was knocked up into the air and out of her hands. That wasn't unplanned for though, as she ducked down and quickly summoned her keyblade back to her hand. She then spun around in a small circle and swiped at Satsujin's legs with her keyblade.

Caleb was pleasantly surprised at Lysa's ability to dodge the attack. The attack itself hadn't been particularly hard to dodge, but the ease that she had shown doing it is what proved that she had some technique. "That was a rather impressive dodge, let's see if you can do it again though" he said calmly, as he pretended to repeat the same attack only to pull it back halfway through and turned it into an overhead horizontal strike.

Gexln wasn't smiling back at Xero. "I wouldn't be so happy about it if I were you, Xero. The fact that R told us to go with someone we work well with means that the battle ahead is going to be tough. We already knew that, but if R's best strategy is simply splitting us up like this then that's a worry in itself. I mean, does R exactly strike you as someone with simple strategies?" he asked. In all honesty, he knew how strong both R and Xindai were. The sheer fact that they believed it would require everyone meant that either R believed the lights to be exceptionally strong, or he needed some of them to watch Xindai should he betray them. Chances were it was both of them, he reasoned.

 

Lysa's feet lift off the ground again as she starts to alter her own gravity properties once more, but instead of yanking herself up and away from the strike, as before, she lifts and twists her blade into a diagonal blocking position, one that would have blocked Caleb's fake strike, but was also close enough that Lysa was able to adjust her grip and block the horizontal one as well. With Lysa's current, anti-gravity state, the force of Caleb's block sends her flying; however, she adjusts her gravity field again and instead of shooting away from her combatant, she orbits around him at an incredibly rapid speed, just outside the range of Caleb's blade.

Lysa would have yelled out another taunt, but the speed at which she was orbiting Caleb would have torn the words from her lips and scrambled what she was saying. Instead she rotates herself so that her feet are pointing at Caleb and she switches her gravity properties once more, making herself extremely heavy, with Caleb as the focal point. Her orbit turns into a direct plunge toward Caleb, Lysa's feet aiming to be planted on his back in a brutal kick.

Gee, thanks for attempting to make me feel better about all of this.. She thought to herself sarcastically as her smile disappeared, "If R thinks Xindai is going to help us, I doubt he will without playing some sort of mind game first..." Xero said as she looked over at Valinton and Kaya.

"Does R exactly strike you as someone with simple strategies?" Xero heard Gexln speak and it seemed to have struck a nerve because she reacted with a, "What's that supposed to mean?!"

Valinton just raised an eye brow at Kaya with the slightest of smiles, "I suppose I like fighting a little bit." He said as he leaned against a wall.

Caleb recoiled in shock as the attack sent Lysa flying. He hadn't put nearly enough force into the attack to do that, what had happened? His question seemed to be answered when the girl began orbiting around him. Did she have some kind of power that allowed her to fly? Questions were floating around in Caleb's head, questions that would likely remain unanswered, when suddenly he felt a kick slam into his back. He fell onto the ground with a loud thud. He groaned in pain, the attack had hurt a lot more than he had thought. He tried to get up, but a searing pain shot through his back as he tried. Instead, he laid sprawled out on the ground, unable to get up and fearing his back may be broken. "The hell did you do that for? This is training not 'cripple your ally before the war'!" he yelled out furiously.

Gexln thought about how to best answer Xero's question. "Well, think about it. First, he was trying to recover this cornerstone thing in Twilight Town, then he sent us to travel through time to obtain the other part of it, something that isn't exactly simple. Even the way he fights, tactically using his opponents' weaknesses against them, R is anything but a simple fighter. So, why would he decide to take such a simple strategy that could get us killed easily now?" he asked, answering Xero's question with yet another question.

Xero just gave Gexln a frustrated huff and averted his gaze as she crossed her arms, "Why do you keep doing that?" She frowned as she spoke, "You keep answering my questions with another question.. How am I supposed to know?"

​

Valinton looked over at Kaya, "So, why are you apart if the dark side?" He asked rather curious of her motives. To be honest he himself didn't exactly know why he became apart of this group, all he wanted was revenge in Xindai. And after R mentioned something about using Xindai in their plan, he mentally smirked and was rather glad he came.

 

​

R turned to Gexln, saying the plan was too simple. "I'm afraid we're at quite a bit of a disadvantage in this war. When a problem presents itself, you'll find that the simplest solution is often the best. If we play our parts, then victory will be ours. Should things go astray, i have a...backup plan, so to speak." R said in his usual emotionless voice, although it was obvious he didn't want to go further into this backup plan of his. His red eyes looked one more time over the darks. He wondered about them. "Before we go to war, i must know, what are your reasons for fighting? Be it personal gain or to follow me on my road to peace, you cannot fight without a cause. If you are to fight at my side, i must know why it is you risk your life." R asked the group.


The assassin kicked back off the ground the moment he saw the sweep coming for his legs. He had the advantage of range, so he needed to keep out of her range as best he could. Taking a Kunai from his Kimono, he tossed it at the now Re-armed Kaxar and readied himself for her charge. ​

 

Lysa winces as she realizes just how much damage she could have done to Caleb, "crap... I'm sorry, it wasn't supposed to hit that hard..." she murmurs, kneeling down next to him, and raising her hands a few inches from his body, activating her power, trying to help Caleb a little. Caleb would feel the pain ease slightly as his body begins to get lighter, taking stress off the injury. "There was only a few feet to accelerate, I was trying to compensate..." she murmurs as she examines the angle of his back to see if it had broken, then glances around, "can we get some help over here, medics? Healers? You guys have to have someone of the sort!" she shouts.

Kaxar easily blocked the kunai, causing the small projectile to bounce harmlessly off the keyblade. It was only small, but her keyblade was wide enough to block the projectile without too much challenge. She then glanced at Satsujin quickly. He was not only quick with offense, but he seemed to be able to get into a defensive position fast enough too. She began running at him, she wasn't going to lose this time. As she ran, she looked at her surroundings to try and find a way to catch Satsujin off guard, which is when she finally noticed Lysa yelling. She skidded to a stop quickly. "Sorry Satsujin, I'm going to help Caleb" she apologized. She hurried over to where Caleb lay on the ground and began using a cure spell on the injured swordsman.

Gexln was about to answer Xero's question, probably with another question, before R responded first. He listened closely, and was about to ask about the backup plan before R mentioned the reasons for fighting. What was he fighting for? He loved violence, he got a real kick out of it, and he enjoyed trying to become stronger, he'd get both out of a war wouldn't he? Although, the more he thought about it the more he realized it was much simpler than that. He didn't want to die, and he wouldn't allow himself to die, and that was all it came down to in his mind. "I'm fighting for both the thrill of the fight, and because I don't want to be wiped out by Kingdom Hearts" he stated.

R asked about the group's motives and Xero thought for a few moments. She wanted people to stop thinking the darks were always bad, she wanted the lights and the darks to live without feeling hostile toward another. "I want light and dark to live in peace, without feeling hostile."

 

Annabelle looked in amazement at Ananata, who had told her to attack. "Well, um... are you sure? I mean... I'm not really... in armor like you are. Doesn't this seem a bit... one-sided?" Annabelle sighed and summoned her Keyblade anyway. She was gonna be trained by Ananta one way or another, it seemed. She gave a loud cry and charged at Ananta, ready to take whatever damage would be dealt out.

"Don't worry, I'll teach you how to form your own in due time. For now, I just want to see your fighting style." she smiled. Holding her own keyblade, she dodged what attacks she could. Occasionally, she would get hit by Annabelle's attacks. Ananta, however, did not attack Annabelle at all. She merely used her keyblade to block attacks. With each swing, Annabelle's style was becoming to make more sense to Ananta. There was still the matter of teaching her a few basic spells to mix into her fighting style.

"You're doing great. Each swing is great and I'm getting a real sense of how you fight. There's only one problem." she said, as she hopped backwards, away from Annabelle. "I want to see if you can call forth keyblade armor as well. That way, in the upcoming lessons, I can assure that you're ready and well equipped." Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out some jerky and began to chomp on it. She stood there, eating the jerky before she stepped towards Annabelle.

"Now, first things first, hold your keyblade with both your hands. Like this." she did the same motion, holding the jerky in her mouth. "There is a quick trick to making your keyblade armor appear. But it will only appear so long as this is out." she spoke, throwing her keyblade in the air and jumping into the light it produced. She glided down on her keyglider and hopped off, standing next to Annabelle. "Of course, as you practice summoning the glider, you'll eventually not have to do so to activate your armor. Some people couldn't get their armor to appear without their gliders first. I was one of those people." she chuckled, biting her jerky and chewing it. "But don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon enough."

 

A dark portal opened in the room where R, Xero, Xepphiras, and the rest were conversing. Rexitus stepped out, mask on and hood over his head. He was agitated, afraid of what R might say, but if R tried anything to hurt him or Lexeain, he would slide out his Keyblade.
He didn't know for how long he nor Lexeain had been knocked out for, but in all honesty, he was not ready to get scolded by R. He shivered in both fear and bloodlust as he felt a large gnawing in his stomach. On occasions like this, Rexitus could go on a serious rampage if push came to shove. But he was trying very hard to suppress the urge, especially since the prisoner he and Lexeain caught had nearly provoked him to go awol. His eyes the color of orange, he turned his gaze to R, giving him a usually emotionless but steady stare.
"Good day, R." Rexitus said. His voice had a bit of a grate, as though he aged a little too fast, "I apologize Lexeain and I's tardiness. We had a little issue-" He suddenly realized R was asking the group around him a question. It was about the war against the lights, and everyone's reasons for fighting. He fell silent, intent on hearing everyone's answers.

Lexeain shook her head to Rexitus to stop talking, which he took notice immediately. Sometimes the guy can be attention-hogging, and HE'S the one who hates chatty people. Hypocritical, much?
Lexeain stared intently at Rexitus as they both listened to R's question. She had notice his agitation, and did not like it. It had been months since Rexitus acted like this, and it was not good. If Rexitus saw blood, it was over.
Lexeain turned to glare at their prisoner. Rexitus and Lexeain decided to take Torvux as prisoner after he found them lying on the grass like a bunch of ninnies. The prisoner didn't struggle, complain, or tried to bribe all the way. And yet, Lexeain felt unsettled by this man, much more than she felt about R or Rexitus. It was his fault that made Rexitus a little bloodthirsty, challenging him directly like that, and the guy didn't even care! Add that to the Rexitus' nervousness, and you got a practically unstable Nobody.

Torvux took no notice to Lexeain's inferior glare. He stared around the room his half-closed eyes boring into each and everyone else's eyes.
"So many misguided individuals.." Torvux thougth, "It's actually a pity." He then stared straight to R, and his eyes narrowed, his lip curling. He did not like R, plus, he was cold and uncaring. But Torvux also restrained himself from attacking R. He said to both of his captors that he would not use force. But it was hard, considering that R probably has no care for lights at all, yet, it was yet to see whether he would misguide his dark fledglings.
He just listened.

 

Annabelle panted. "Yeah... Armor would be great." Ananta had given her the biggest bruise on her leg. It kinda hurt to walk. She followed Ananta's lead and extended her keyblade. She opened her sense and focused. She wanted the armor to appear. She wanted the protection. She wanted the fashion. She had to admit, it looked a lot easier to handle for armor.

"Alright, you have that down. Now, I want you to imagine your keyglider. Imagine they armor protecting you as you fought valiantly against the darkness." she spoke calmly. Chewing her food, she circled around Annabelle. Looking at her, she noticed a bruise on her leg. Lifting her hand up, she spoke "Cure" towards her leg softly. She didn't want to disturb her concentration. Watching Annabelle, she began to remember her first time summoning her keyglider. It was a fun experience.

"Once you have an idea about it, throw your keyblade into the sky like I did. It should transform into your keyglider. If it doesn't watch out and don't get hit as it falls." she smiled, remembering the pain a keyblade to the head felt like. It wasn't very pleasant, to say the least.

 

Lysa winces as she kneels down next to Kaxar and Caleb, "Is he going to be alright?" she asks the Golden-haired girl next to her, "I hadn't realized how powerful my ability could be, in combat... I didn't mean to hurt him." Lysa looks to be legitimately apologetic for her actions, and to be sincerely worried about Caleb's health.

Beuce looked up at the enormous moon that appeared in the sky. It was an impressive sight, but even more impressive was the feel that came from it. It radiated raw power, unlike anything ever felt before. Stronger than Helion, the apprentices they fought during their previous journey, stronger than R, nothing even came close to that thing. Beuce let out a whistle. "That's it huh? The grand prize prize? Well, what are we waiting for? It's time to go win us a war." Beuce said, then stood at the head of the group, seemingly about to give some sort of motivational speech. ​

The heartless leader of the darks turned his head to the sky as the great moon, the heart of all things, appeared there. It was time. The war was beginning after so long. "All of you, i hope you're prepared for this. This war will be unlike anything you've ever experienced. It will test your resolve, try to break your will in many ways, but do not falter." The next part, he said directly to Xapphires. "Walk hand in hand with the darkness, and it will be your greatest ally. It will never forsake you, and always be at your back in any trial you encounter." ​

He paced paced Kaxar. "They see you as small and helpless," He came upon dusk "They see you as just a child. Well surprise when they find out that soon a warrior will run wild. ​

"Prepare for your greatest moments!" He called out​

"Prepare for your finest hour!"​

"The dream that you've dreamed is suddenly about to flower!" ​

He turned his back to the group in a dramatic fashion. ​

"We are lightning"​

"Turning from the thunder."​

"Miracles of ancient wonder "​

​

"Today, we battle against the lights. Be it for survival, power, or peace, this road will take you to your goal. Once we depart, pain will follow you. Let it be today that we stand victorious and strike down our enemies. Let it be on this day and never again that blood be shed over this prize."​

By this point, Beuce had broken out into singing the song he was quoting​

"This will be the day we've waited for! ​

This will be the day we open up the door!​

I don't wanna hear your absolution!​

Hope your ready for a revolution!​

Welcome to a world of new solutions! ​

Welcome to a world of bloody evolution!​

In time-your heart will open minds!​

A story will be told!​

"Well, i should say it's about time you got here." Xindai said, directing his words at kingdom hearts. "The next great war starts. Let's make it as interesting as the last one, shall we old friend?" The dark creator removed the stone from his pocket and held it high into the air, His existence seemed to fade as he teleported to the keyblade graveyard. The land where destinies were shaped. ​

"Your world needs a great defender, your world is in the way of harm" He said to Caleb.​

"You want a romantic life full of fairy-tale and full of charm" ​

"Well beware that the light is fading, beware that the dark returns" ​

At this point, he was getting so into it that he turned his keyblade around and began using a trick he'd learned from their old comrade Base. He played the keyblade as though it were a guitar. A seemingly stupid act, except it actually worked. ​

"This world is unforgiving, Even brilliant lights will cease to burn" ​

"Legends scatter"​

"Day and night will sever!"​

"Hope and peace are lost forever!"​

Soon he began headbanging to the music he played, until finally the song reached it's climax. He turned and summoned his Glider, motioning for the rest to follow him. He revved the motorcycle and sped off, singing the final Chorus​

"This will be the day we've waited for! ​

This will be the day we open up the door!​

I don't wanna hear your absolution!​

Hope your ready for a revolution!​

Welcome to a world of new solutions! ​

Welcome to a world of bloody evolution!​

In time-your heart will open minds!​

Annabelle focused and gave the Keyblade a toss. But she failed. She flipped out of the way as the Keyblade narrowly mised her and ended up stabbed in the ground. "Eep!" she squealed. That had been close. If she hadn't moved, that thing would be lofged in her skull- or worse.

She dusted herself off and looked at Ananta. "I'd like to try again if that's okay. Unless you want to move onto something new and save this for later, when I'm more prepared."

As R finished speaking, Gexln now turned to look at the great moon. So, that's the thing that we're fighting for? I would've hoped it would've been..different? It was described to make it sound like it was a weapon, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out, Gexln thought to himself. He then turned to Xero. "You ready for this?" he asked. He then created a dark corridor, one that lead straight to the keyblade graveyard, the place that kingdom hearts seemed to be beckoning him to. "Once we step through here, there's no going back" the Nobody warned.

Right as Kingdom Hearts appeared was when Kaxar's cure seemed to take effect. Caleb stood up slowly. His back felt completely fine, but the memory still stung a little. "There it is, Kingdom Hearts. I've heard about it, but I never thought I'd get to see it myself" he spoke quietly. Caleb then did the same thing that Louvel did and tossed his keyblade into the air. He hoped that it turned into a glider, just as his did, and miraculously that was just what it did. He leaped onto the keyblade glider and hovered still in the air for a few moments. "This is it, this is how I end it" he said, a little grimly, as he shot off in the direction Louvel had gone in.

Perhaps Kaxar may have reacted to Beuce's song, but by that point she was used to his antics, even something as odd as using his keyblade as a guitar was not something that threw her off. All she could think of was the war that seemed to be there, and the fact that she would more than likely have to face Gexln. She clenched her fist tightly around her keyblade. Maybe I can find a way to save him she thought to herself, as she too summoned her keyblade glider and followed Caleb and Louvel.
