The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Ananta watched as Beuce laughed and began to topple over onto the floor. She walked over and scooted down next to him and tried to help him up. She didn't realize that she hit him THAT hard...maybe she didn't know her own strength? She lifted him up to sit on his butt as she looked over him and dusted him off. "I know I didn't hit you that hard, Beuce. So why are you reacting like this...?" she pondered. Thinking about it, she had a silly idea. "I guess you could you...have been abeuced?" she snickered.

"If you really need some medicine, I could give it to you." she said as she reached into a bag that is totally on her side. Pulling out a wrapping of cloth, she opened it to reveal some cheese and bread with a bottle of water. "I was going to save this for when I was hungry, but I guess you could eat it instead. To get your strength back, ya know?" she spoke sheepishly. It was a little embarrassing, to say the least.

 

Lysa glances at Beuce and then shakes her head with disbelief, turning toward Satsujin instead, "Lead the way, I'll be right behind you.," she says and then glances around at the other occupants of the room once more, unsure if she had made the right decision in coming to the tower or not.

Xero finally got over her fit and walked over next to Gexln. As he warned others not to get in his way she let out a small laugh, "Of course you'd go and say that." She then sighed, "Whatever. I guess I can deal with working you lot." She admitted as she crossed her arms, "I'm still not gonna go with Enox though..." She mumbled.

Valinton then walked over next to Xero, "So what is your strategy for hitting the Lights, R?" He asked.

Kaxar nodded her head as the suggestion of training came up. She had already been practicing before, but she knew she needed all she could get. She quietly summoned her keyblade, True Light's Flight, and followed the others out, ready to train.

​

Caleb stepped outside, along with the others. Maybe he could use more practice, to further hone his technique. He would need someone that would be a skilled fighter though, Kaxar wouldn't cut it. She had potential, and she was making progress incredibly fast, but she still was no match for him. He summoned a small shield in his left hand, one with the purpose of blocking small attacks, while in his right hand he summoned his keyblade, and began searching for someone to train with.

Gexln smirked a little as he heard Xero mumbling about not wanting to work with Enox. He had memories of Glen getting along with Eon, respecting him even, but he most certainly did not feel the same way about Enox. He would work with Enox because he had to, not because he wanted to. He walked over and leaned against a wall, waiting for the discussion of the war to be over. The war could very well be the end of himself and the rest of the darks.. or, if they came out on top, the beginning of something else entirely. It caused him to remember of how things for Glen had began, of how he had become introduced to the darkness.

Spoiler: Introduction to The Dark

Glen was running towards the forest outside of the village. He was in a hurry, ignoring all the looks caused by a ten year old boy outcast racing through the streets. If he didn't hurry, he would never find out what the noise he had heard was. It wasn't a noise like a bird, or a bear, or any kind of animal. It had been an explosion. Why would there be an explosion in a village that was, for the most part, peaceful? He intended to find out. Glen slowed down in pace as he neared a large clearing and his eyes rested upon the figure that stood in the center of the clearing.

The man looked to be about twenty years old, he was extremely tall, and had entirely black clothing on. His hair was short but spiked up just a little on the top, and as he spun around and looked in Glen's direction it was at that moment that it could be noted his eyes were red and very, very bloodshot. Glen quickly ducked behind a small bush, unsure if he had been spotted. It had been a smart move, as the man had not noticed him. The man turned around and resumed what Glen assumed he had been doing before. Words can not describe how curious Glen became the moment he saw what happened next. The man summoned a small, purple fireball in his hand and flung it at a tree, causing it to burst into flames as a small explosion was heard. So this was the cause of the explosion.
Again and again the man repeated this process, setting many trees aflame. He had to find out how he did it. "That's so cool! How do you do it?" he asked. The response he got was not what he had expected. The man cursed and opened up a kind of purple portal, one that was flowing with some kind of energy, a dark corridor. He walked through it, apparently disliking the fact he had been seen. There was no way Glen was going to miss out on this opportunity. He ran through the dark corridor and barely got through it as it closed up behind him.

Glen looked around as he got through. He was in a dry, barren land. The ground itself had a sort of pale, dry purple color to it, and there were many dead trees around. The man had seemingly vanished, but the mysterious energy was clearly visible to Glen. There was a massive lake in the center of the area, one that was filled to the brim with the energy he had seen swirling around in the portal. There was only one thing to do, he decided to run over to the lake.
As Glen neared the lake, he noticed that the swirling darkness inside was cold. Very cold, as though even touching it could do some serious damage. He wondered what it was exactly though, it was certainly like nothing else he had ever seen. He was startled as he began to hear voices inside his head. "Come inside, Glen, you know you want to. What are you afraid of?" the voice said, trying to tempt him. He shook his head. He didn't like the look of the energy at all. He nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard another voice, but it was not the darkness.

"Kid, you're the one that asked how I did that trick, yeah?" came the voice. Glen spun around and found himself face to face with the man from earlier. How had he gotten there so quietly without Glen noticing him? He nodded slowly and nervously. "Y-yeah, that was me" he replied. The man leaned down to the point that he was eye level with the young yen year old Glen. "You really wanna know?" the man asked. Glen nodded again. Was he about to learn the secret of the dark energy? The man chuckled a little bit. It was not a nice sound, it was a chuckle that sounded as though he knew something sinister. The man leaned back a little bit for a brief second, and looked as though he was about to open his mouth to say something, but instead he let out a wicked laugh. Glen did not like this at all. He began to move to the side, to get away from this man, but he was not quick enough. The man reached forward and shoved Glen backwards with an almighty push, down towards the dark depths below.

Glen reached out with his hand as he fell, but to no avail. His hand completely missed the side of the lake, and he felt himself go underneath, fully submerged in the darkness. He could hear more voices now as he struggled to swim up. Voices telling him that he was going to enjoy being part of it, was going to be welcomed to being one with the darkness. He got near the top of the darkness now, and he stretched his arm out as far as he could. He barely reached the side with his left hand and tensed his small muscles, ready to heave himself out. "Stay with me Glen, won't you stay with me?" he heard in his head. For a moment, his arm weakened, as though the voice had gotten through to him. Only for a moment though, as after that he saw a familiar face in his mind. His one and only friend, Kara, smiling at him in the way that made him weak at the knees. There was no way he was going to let himself drown in the darkness there, not while he had something to keep going for. He heaved with all his might and pulled himself out of the darkness, his clothes absolutely drenched from the liquified darkness as he collapsed next to the lake.

As Glen lay there, he realized something. Something had changed inside that lake. He felt a little stronger, a little more durable, and he could smell something that he hadn't before. It was a smell coming from the lake, and it smelt horrible. Was he smelling pure darkness? His eyes scanned the horizon, but he could see nothing of the man that had pushed him in. A small, but impossible-to-satisfy fury was welling up inside of him. The man had tried to kill him.

Glen slammed his fists on the ground in anger, but quickly stopped as he realized he had no way to get out of the place he was in. Unless..could he replicate what the man had done earlier? He had to try. He held up his hand in a northerly direction, out in front of him. In his mind, he imagined the appearance of the dark corridor itself, as well as his village; the place he wanted to get to. Sure enough, a dark corridor appeared in front of him. Through pure luck or untapped skill, he had no idea, but it had happened.

Glen looked at his left hand, the one that had created the dark corridor, in both fear and awe. Did I really just do that? What happened to me in that lake? he wondered.

 

Lysa glances around as the others summon their strange, key-shaped weapons. Supposedly those 'Keyblades' were powerful, but Lysa didn't care about any of that, she would make use of her sword and her bow as she always had. Her greatest weapon was her mind, coming up with new ways to combine her various abilities into effective combat maneuvers. She focuses her gaze on Caleb, who seems to be evaluating the others, that one thinks he's a badass, I'll bet, Lysa thinks to herself and grins, trying to catch his eye, "hey, hotshot, how about we go a round?" she calls out.

Xero looked at the ground with her arms crossed and sighed. This war was going to take the lives of some of the darks.. and could quite possibly take hers as well. She then walked over to Gexln and leaned against the wall next to him, "So..." She started as she nervously began to ask, "Are you afraid of dying... During the war?" Xero then began to nervously mess with the green orb on the end of her necklace.

Gexln looked sideways at Xero as she leaned nearby him. The question she asked, about being afraid of dying during the war, was one he hadn't thought of much. The possibility was quite likely, war often had many casualties. He tried his best not to show the small seed of worry within him and shrugged his shoulders. "If you're afraid of dying, then on the off-chance that you do get struck down and..you know, killed..your last moments would terrify you to no end right? That'd be a really crappy way to go out. I'd prefer to just accept it and move on" he responded, not really answering the question that he was asked.

Caleb looked around a little, confused, when Lysa called out to him. Hotshot? Is that really how people saw him? He wasn't entirely sure who the girl that called out to him was, but her eyes certainly seemed to look like she had all the confidence in the world. Would she be able to help with training? There was only one way to find out. "I suppose that would be for the best" he called back. He flicked around the keyblade he held in his right hand. He had little practice with the weapon, but now was the time to change that.

Xero looked up at Gexln with a worried look in her eyes. Why would you just want to accept something like that...? She had a feeling he was avoiding the question, but she only gave him a half hearted laugh "Well.. if something like that does happen," she put her hand on Gexln's shoulder as she spoke, "I got your back." She then gave him a small smile.

 

Lysa grins at Caleb and draws her sword, the curving pommel and cross-guard of her short sword giving the weapon just the right balance for her hand. The young theif's body drops into a combat stance, gently bouncing on the balls of her feet like a martial artist would, ready to move at a moment's notice, "Come at me when you're ready," she shouts over to him.

 

The white haired man looked up at Ananta offering him some cheese and water. He smiled at her. "Did an angel come for me? Or am i just..."There was a pause for a few seconds. "Habeucinating" One could swear they heard a rimshot echo in the background. After a chuckle at his own joke, he rose to his feet. Apparently he was fine. "Hehe, come on, let's go down with the others." He invited, walking toward the door. ​

The assassin walked gracefully alongside the others. His footsteps were silent as the grave. I suppose in his profession, they had to be. Once outside, he walked up beside Kaxar. "It seems we find ourselves here again. Care to continue where we left off?" He suggested in a calm voice. He was so calm it was almost unsettling. They were training to fight for their lives. Perhaps he was used to it, or perhaps he simply hid what he felt. In any case, grace never left him.​

R's eyes turned on Valinton, ready to answer his question. He had a strategy alright, but he'd need everyone to work together for it to succeed. "When the war begins, break off into individual fights, teams of two. Choose the person you work with best. They will be your ally, your lifeline. Guide your opponents apart, through the cayons in the graveyard. Lead them apart and bait to follow you. At the end, the canyons all converge into a single area. We must have all the teams arrive there at the same time. The moment the realize they've been lead into a trap, i will tap into the power of the dark cornerstone and eradicate them all at once with my black rains. Even if some survive, they will prove no match for the remainder of us." The heartless said, explaining the basis of the plan. "They must be there at the same time, so it goes without saying that communication is key for this to succeed. In this, i plan to use Xindai's power of telepathy." R said, obviously disapproving of his own idea. If Xindai betrayed them, which wasn't exactly unthinkable, the entire plan went up in smoke, but it was the only chance they had to win. "There is no need to explain the plan to him. He will pry it from your minds whether you want him to or not." ​

Scrambling up, while also fiddling with the food, she stuffed it away and hopped up. "Okay!" she sang happily. She walked pretty closely with Beuce down to the training area and stood back to watch everyone a little bit. She looked around for Annabelle and her sisters, wondering if maybe they had arrived yet. Not seeing them, she walked back to Beuce and huffed. "I was hoping that Annabell was around so I could train her. I'm technically the strongest mage of our rag-tag group." she sighed.

It's true, she was hoping to teach Annabelle the basics of combat as well as a few spells to help her. She was even hoping to teach her how to use her keyglider, if needed, and how to call her armor when she wanted to. All in due time, of course, wouldn't want to fizzle her brain out and all. "Annabelle! Where are yoooooooou!" she called out, frustrated.

Gexln flinched as R mentioned Xindai. He didn't like the idea of relying on Xindai, but if it meant winning the war then he saw no other option other than going along with it. R was certainly no fool, so Gexln believed that he would keep an eye on Xindai. He thought about the words that R had said, about picking someone that they work with best. That one was a no-brainer. While his somebody had known Enox's somebody, it was fairly clear that the two of them probably wouldn't work together well, so that only left one other choice. He turned to look at Xero. "Looks like R wants us to work together in this war thing" he stated simply.

Caleb had expected Lysa to make the first move, given the fact that it was her that had challenged him, so he was somewhat surprised when she did not. He glanced down at his keyblade quickly, how good would he actually be at utilising it? There was only one way to find out. He took a few steps towards Lysa, holding his keyblade exactly the same way he would hold a short sword, with shield ready to block an attack. After circling around Lysa a couple of times, he leaped forwards and swung his keyblade vertically at Lysa.

Kaxar nodded in response to Satsujin's question. She had hoped that she would be put against Satsujin, she enjoyed sparring with him to a certain extent. The fact that she was determined to show him up probably helped a little bit, too. She summoned her keyblade, True Light's Flight, once again and readied herself in a defensive position. She positioned her footing so that she would not be easily moved from the spot she stood on, and waited for Satsujin to make the first move.

 

Annabelle looked at Ananta shyly. "...Yes?" she said quietly. Ananta sounded frustrated, and Annabelle didn't want to upset her. "Did you need me? I was gonna go outside and just practice my healing magic, since it's all I can really do..." It really was, at least in her opinion. Everyone always told her how great she was, but she wouldn't believe it. Her inner strength came from everyone else, not herself.

Xero listened to R's battle plan and once he mentioned Xindai her expression changed to annoyance, "Great..." She said sarcasticly. She then looked at Gexln as he said that he wanted to work with her and she smiled and nodded.

 

​

Ananta sighed and patted Annabelle on the shoulder. Looking at her, she could really tell that she had no confidence in herself. That was rather troubling. "Okay, since all you know is how to use healing magic, that means you're a mystic like me. Which also means you can be almost as great and powerful as me. Especially if you work hard enough and figure out new spells and attacks." she smiled, leading her to the training area which was also outside.

Leaving Annabelle a bit away from her, Ananta backed up. "First, I want to know if you can use a keyblade. If so, call it. If not, try and attack me with whatever you have." she spoke. Holding her own keyblade out, a light shown out of it as it morphed over her body and formed her keyblade armor. "This is called keyblade armor. It protects you from darkness for as long as it surrounds you. It also protects you from the enemies attacks. Don't worry if you don't have it, you can still be resilient." she chuckled. Taking up a fighting stance, she held her keyblade with her left hand. "Now, come at me. And don't hold back!" she smiled at her.

 

As Caleb's blade swings down at Lysa, the girl effortlessly tumbles to the side and comes back up on her feet, still in the same position, looking almost as if she had barely moved. "What was that? Having a little trouble hitting me or something? Common, give it another go," she says, grinning and winking at him. Her masterful use of gravity manipulation had quickly yanked her out of the way of the hit, and then pulled her right back to the same spot once Caleb's blade had passed, making it appear like complex gymnastics rather than supernatural powers.

Valinton turned to Kaya as she asked if she could partner with him. He chuckled a bit, "Well, I don't see why not. I mean, he did say he wanted us to find a partner after all." He said as he then gave her a half smile.

The assassin unsheathed Narukami. He was confident she would be able to hold her own against his unsheathed weapon. Satsujin charged at her with blinding speed, and delivered an upward slash, arcing with electricity.

R turned to the nobody of Sapphire. "Do not fear, i will personally accompany Xindai. You need only worry about combatting the lights."
