The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Night was sitting peacefully in the darkness, his eyes closed. He was tuning his senses for the battle that would soon commence. His thoughts wandered back to a small little town, his friends faces, and the smell of the fresh ocean air. He knew that he had to concentrate harder to accomplish his goal, but those memories kept coming back to him. It had already been what felt like an eternity, but he knew it had only been a few minutes. There was something about the dark that made him uneasy. He thought it ironic, and laughed to himself. "That which I am, is not what I wish to be."

Luna, who was right behind Night, was trying to accomplish the same thing. She had been pretty successful up until Night made that short outburst. "Could you please focus a little more Night? If we don't do this she's gonna get mad." She went back to her training, giving it her best. Though she couldn't help but think about the statement Night made, and how much she believed it to be true to her. "You know," she hesitated.

"I know what?" Night chuckled catching her off guard.

"You know, you're not the only one who doesn't like the path they're on." She sighed opening her eyes and standing up. She stretched while the feeling in her legs began coming back.

"So, you'd have rather been working for the dark?" Night did the same, yawning in the process.

Luna didn't reply, she just sighed. She did, however, think to herself, "No you idiot, I would've been happy either way. As long as I could have been on the same path as you."

"Hey, we've been training far too long. Let's go and investigate the town, what do you say?" Night flicked on a light revealing the empty room they had been sitting in this whole time.

Luna smiled and walked towards the door, "Fine, but you're gonna buy me something this time."

Night sighed, "I buy you something every time." The two of leave through the door and head for town.

 

Oda sensed someone was following him and Sapphire so he decided he would use his music to trap people in a trance including himself. He started to play Rose of May on his harmonica so loudly with all the emotion he could muster. So when someone heard the turn it puts people in a trance. In the trace people see their memories of all their family and friends and all their loses. Even Oda himself wasn't immune to the effects of his own music. He began to see his entire life within the darkness, He saw his birth, his childhood, his choices and even his old dreams. All he seen weighed heavy on his heart but only he could see that.

Spine has entered the Tunnels and Oda's music hit his ears, he just froze as his time began to play in his head. He saw his father, his mother and even his long lost Uncle who had been lost when he was so young. He saw his life hiding in the library reading all the books he could. The words his uncle said to him came back "A man's heart is a unpredictable thing just know it bears both the light and the dark, but is down to you to decide which path is right for you" He remembered the Vow he made the day he lost all the people he cared about and his home to a disaster. The memories of his birth flowed into his head followed by his happy childhood to his thirteenth birthday. He remembered the darkness engulf his parents and the tragic event that took place straight after. He saw a sword pierce his uncle's heart and his uncle's last words came back to him. "Dear Spine my time is over now take my powers and follow your own path, walk the path of your heart do not make the same mistake I made" Tears flew down Spine's face as his memories continued to enter his mind including the gifts his uncle passed on to him on that tragic day.

 

Continuing to follow the sounds of music, Kel was immediately effected by Oda's song and showed images of his family and friends. The feeling of nostalgia would've overtook him if not for the other images he was showed. His home world being engulf in darkness due to his mistake and his heart being partially tainted by the resulting darkness. Even though the he was still in a trance, the images showed were enough to keep in body moving forward.

 

Zayde started to hear the music, and his mind wander, but he immediately used his water magic to block the sound, as instint so told him. He made himself deaph to all sound, even his own voice. "I am glad that my masters taught me to be able to counter sound, and more Importantly, sound magic. I cannot do this for longer than 20 minutes. Still..." He quickly flashed back to the hoards of heartless killing his parents."That's enough reminiscing." He said to himself, although he could not hear it. He then revved the engin of the keyblade glider, so loud that for miles, no one could hear anything but its loud roar and cacophony as it mixed with the harmonica. He then picked up the brother of the one girl from earlyer and began to fly back to the tunnel entrance, picking up the other two who entered with them that were closet to the entrance, and flew back to the usual spot. "I am sure glad that I don't need sound in order to fly a keyblade glider. Anyway, are you three okay?" Zayde said to the three other young wielders.

 

"Heasitaying before entering. Waiting the song out. Good plan, but it won't work well. He is.trying to stall us. I have a way of tracking them without being forced to stop by the song. It can only be used for 20 minutes though. But he is counting on us not following him and your sister. Your mind will be trapped in a sea if memorys. It might be safer if we just track them down. I know where every tunnel is so tracking will not be a problem. It's all up to you, though." Zayde said, as he walked over to the tunnel opening and stood by the man. "Just keep in mind: your decision will change the entire outcome. If we go in, we may not find them fast enough. If we wait, he might capture her. You choose."

 

Faust was mere steps into the underground concourse when he heard it. A haunting melody playing on a lone harmonica echoed from the depths of the tunnels. "One of them," he said, remembering seeing someone with such an instrument earlier. "But what does he hope to accomplish? Leading everyone into a trap?"

As though in answering to his question, the melody reached Faust in its fullest possible effect, which was lessened due to his proximity to the tunnel exit just outside of its range. The effect was intoxicating at best. He suspected that a person with a Heart would have crumbled to tears before the piece itself. That was letting alone what it seemed to bring to the minds of those who would hear it playing. A hypnotic effect, a spell of one sort or another, was carrying through with the sound waves.

As if imprinted against the very scene of the concourse around him, disfigured, shadowy outlines moved in front of Faust's eyes. In his head, he could the voice of his younger self, though not much younger. "Come at me!" the voice said with glee, "take me, good Darkness!! Render me Naught! I DARE you!" Then, the words stopped, and a fading laughter followed them, the laughter of that same younger Faust. The real Faust chuckled in amusement; was he supposed to have been stirred by this display of his past? The image itself faded from sight, disappearing into thin air.

And Faust stood, listening, unmoved and then unaffected by the melody. He smiled. He shook his head in disappointment. Then, he continued his way through the concourse, following the sound of the music. He stepped with an awkward amble, as though he had enjoyed a strong drink or two; the effect of the trance spell, though broken from their full effect, lingered as a disorienting factor within the normally graceful man. A few more glimpses of random scenes from his memories flashed before him in the same phantasmic form as the first one.

Regardless, he managed to make his way to the source of the music; the glimpses of his past were, after all, of no consequence to him. The lone harmonica player stood in one of the larger sections of the concourse, a crossways to which many other corridors were connected and branched out to various spots in town. Rubbing his head as one who was trying to massage a headache, he set his eyes upon the musician. Several times, he cleared his through as loudly as he could in the hopes of getting man's attention. "You know, the ghosts of the past do little to stop those without regret."​

When Oda's soft harmony pierced Beuce's ear, His mind went black. His memories flashed before his eyes, Thoughts of his family and friends weaved into a lucid dream. His dad, His mom...They're still waiting for him to get home. He thought of Rain, The woman he could never forget. She was a brilliant woman who befriended Beuce but then left their world, atleast that's what the town's people said.He went in search of her, Not beliving what they said. He'd told his parents he was leaving to find her, That he'd be back within a week, That's why he went to see Merlin. He needed to go to other worlds, not just to find Rain, But to be happy. He was glad Merlin was batshit insane and teleported him to this world.. but, What was he doing? Where was he going to go? Rain ... Maybe he was on his way to her.

"There's a reason i gave her that crystal. Now then, let's see what you remember. Try to disarm me." R said, summoning a simple sword. ​

 

Oda had finally stopped playing and he stared at the entranced Sapphire waiting for her to awaken. He put his harmonica away and placed his hand on his sword then drew it out and hid it behind him out of sight in the tunnels since the tunnels were dark and the sword is black. He ignored everything else around focusing only on Sapphire.

Spine was too far into the tunnels to be saved by Zayde but he awoke from the trance and made his way further into the tunnels looking for something that he sensed. He ran as fast as he could because he had to know what it is he senses, his curiosity is leading him once more.

 

Awakening from his trance like state, Kel looked around to get a general idea on where he was. Clearly he was still I the tunnels, but hopefully close to the harmonica playing man he'd followed in. Now back in control of his body, he headed down the path that didn't lead him in a circle. Still without a plan of action, improvising seemed like the path he would take once he'd found them.

 

"OK. And when you're back, we will chat about the matter at hand." Zayde told the man as he went inside of the tunnel once more. Zayde then went over to the vending machine in the area they were in, and then purchased 4 ice cream sticks, handing one to each of the people he saved, stirring the other 2 in a crook of his armor. As the wrapper crackles, Zayde eared for the possible new ally.

 

Spine was still running when he came across Louvel but he remained silent as they reached where Oda was.

Oda took a step towards Sapphire then he noticed the new guests. Oda just closed his eyes and walked back towards the wall where he learned and began emitting a dark essence to see if it tempts the blade of the light.

 

By the time Kel had reached the area that Oda was in, he saw that he wasn't the only one there. He chose to wait and see how it would play out before taking any action, If it seemed like he wasn't needed at all, then he would simply leave. Otherwise he would join in the battle.

 

Spine saw the new arrival and walked towards him. "hey I think we are gonna have quite a show here I'm Spine what is your name?" asked Spine as he stopped next to Kel.

Oda pointed his sword at Louvel as to say Mind your own business. At this time Oda withdrew his own darkness so he shown no light or darkness to all around. But anyone could tell Oda wasn't going to walk away from Sapphire yet and if he had to fight he would.

 

When Sapphire's brother was about to where they were before, Zayde used his water magic to track him. Once he found the other people, dayde releasted the tracking, now knowing where they were, and peared into the mind of Sapphire.

Zayde's nearly had a fit, after reading Sapphire's mind. "Ah, what you don't know is, Sapphire, that in my own opinion you deserve your freedom to choose. I think it would be better to have you choose the side for yourself, if you want light, light is what you should go for. If you choose darkness then, I would hope it to be your path to true happiness. I wish I had explained my stance on it better back here, but that is the past." Zayde thought to himself. "And how foolish of your brother to not sense I used tracking magic on him. It was such a weak tracking mark, I figured I would loose it, or that the brother would be able to tell before he found the others in there and dispatched of it.

It surprises me every day, when I do better than I thought I would. Now Sapphire, you're going to be my eyes and ears, seeing as you have the best viewing spot." Zayde thought. Using his water magic, he closed his eyes and was able to tell what was going on. It was a highly advanced magic he had only used once before. Her brother was standing there in front of the Harmonica playing man, who was pointing his sword at her brother. Two men were off to the back of the Harmonica Player, spectators like the rest of us. "Lets see what Sapphire's brother is made of." Zayde said to himself, as he leaned on the wall, eyes shut.

"And tell me, What do you plan to do if that doesn't work?" ​

R said, sidestepping to avoid her lunge. "While it's difficult, Escaping that spell is far from impossible. If you want to be the strongest, you need to be ready for any situation. If an overwhelming display of force doesn't finish them off, you need something to fall back on, That and consider this your punishment for leaving. You'll be doing a refresher on everything. Once you've mastered melee combat, i'll teach you my more powerful spells. Once you've mastered all of that, I'll teach you something even more powerful." Said the mentor promisingly.​

As Beuce woke up from the trance, he stretched. "Man and i was just getting to the good part. Ah well, what can ya do?" He said casually as he looked to the fight which seemed to be going on. "Let's see what teach here has got." He thought to himself.

 

Spine just watched from the side lines "Louvel seems strong but something tells me that Harmonica guy is not to be taken lightly Kel" said Spine as he watched the battle taking place.

Oda recognized the tactic Louvel was using since he had used it himself once before during his youth one his first visit to another world. So Oda did the same thing and with his blade blocked Louvel's Keyblade and made a ball of darkness to send flying into Louvel's ball of fire once t is thrown. Knowing that Louvel's last move was worthless Oda took the chance to strike back and by using both hands struck hard and fast towards Louvel.
