The Final War, Light Vs Dark

At R's sudden outburst, Gexln was shocked. Despite not knowing R for a great deal of time, he knew that the heartless wasn't the kind to get angry easily; his calm demeanor proved that. What came next, however, was even more shocking for him. R flat out shoved him out the door and into the streets. He landed on the ground with a thud, himself unable to keep his footing properly as he had not expected such a rash move. He stood up and dusted himself off.

"Geez R, thanks for the warning" he said quietly to himself. He realized then that R had told him to finish up their business with Merlin. Which meant that R probably intended to fight Xindai. Now wouldn't that be a fight to see, Gexln thought to himself. The attention of the Nobody was grabbed by a man that had spoken to him. He seemed interested about how easily Gexln had been thrown outside. "What's it to you? Who the hell are you anyway?" he asked.

He then remembered what R had requested, no..ordered him to do, and cupped his hands together so that he could amplify the volume that he shouted. "HEY MERLIN, GET OUT HERE SO WE CAN DISCUSS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU'D RATHER PISS OFF R SOME MORE" he shouted, hoping to convince the old geezer to get out there.

"The wizard won't come..." Valinton said as he looked around with his eyes, "He's too much of a coward to fend for himself... He's hiding." He then looked back at Gexln with a glare and said, "Why are you looking for the wizard in the first place...?" His voice became low and sounded dangerous. He knew the wizard had something important, and that he should probably take it back to Xindai.

The battle began with the two flying out the roof. Exactly who had knocked who upward wasn't apparent, but a flurry of blows came from both sides. Xindai had already summoned his lockdown keyblade and R was in his dark assassination mode, making him a quite a bit faster. The reflexes of the dark creator seemed superhuman, capable of keeping up with even the heartless' enhanced speed. It was a sight to behold, the melody of metal clashing against metal at incredible speeds. R kicked back away from the combat and sent a volley of dark flames at his enemy. Xindai skillfully evaded and parried the shots, then proceeded to counter with a telekinetic push. R deflected it with a quickly enacted Dark Aegis. ​

The two seemed fairly evenly matched for the moment, but neither had shown their full potential yet. Ran forward at R, readying a downward cut when suddenly he was gone in a flash, appearing once more behind him to finish the cut. R was caught off guard by this, but managed to just barely evade it. He was at a disadvantage for the following barrage of cuts. His guard finally broke when Xindai used the glaive to spray dark sparks at him. R had suffered a cut to his arm and escaped worse by emitting his darkness in the form of a smoke screen. Normally this would be no problem for Xindai, but since his reading of R's mind was nothing more than a bluff, he couldn't tell his location. ​

R had a chance to strike and he took it. Conjuring what resembled a buster sword, a massive upward swing at Xindai decimated the roof of the building they stood on. Xindai was sent flying out of the smog and steadied himself with a telekinetic aerial recovery. He floated there, then looked down to the ground to notice Valinton. "Valinton! Handle the girl will you? I may have my hands tied with this one." Xindai called down to him while parrying another massive swing from R. ​

"Why I'm looking for the wizard is none of your business. He'll come, he must come. If he doesn't, then he'll have to deal with-" Gexln started as R and Xindai went flying through the roof locked in combat. Gexln gestured towards the two. "He'll have to deal with that" he finished. Xindai then called out to the man that had been questioning Gexln, telling him to handle 'the girl'.


"So you're with Xindai are you?" Gexln questioned. He casually flicked Darkness' Sorrow up so that the blade was pointed Valinton. "You'll have a bit of trouble handling Xero, she's pretty tough" he began. "Uuuusually I'd kick your ass myself, but unfortunately I've been given other orders. I'll be keeping my eye on you though, try any dirty tricks and I'll come finish you myself, got it?" Gexln threatened. He then turned and walked into the house that he had been thrown out of a few moments earlier. As he walked past Xero, he said something very quietly and very quickly. "Be careful, Xero" he said. He then continued past her and approached Merlin. "Okay I know I told you to go out there before, but just to save time I decided I'd come to you. Now, I'm assuming you know why we're here? Or do I need to explain it?" Gexln asked Merlin.

Xero suddenly saw the two fly up onto the roof. She didn't exactly see who hit who first but she ran outside as they wailed at each other with their weapons. Suddenly she heard Xindai call out to someone named Valinton to 'take care' of her. She quickly turned to see a dark looking man looking right at her. Gexln walked toward her and told her to be careful. She nodded in response as he walked past.

Valinton looked up as he saw R and Xindai beginning to battle. Xindai then ordered him to take care of the girl. Gexln suddenly held his weapon up to Valinton, "You'll have a bit of trouble handling Xero, she's pretty tough.". Gexln said as he walked off and past Xero. He turned to face Xero as she also turned to him. He took a few steps toward her and stopped as she summoned her scythe.

"I'm assuming that you're the one Xindai was talking to.." Xero said as she stood in a battle stance. Valinton only gave her a huff as he just stood there, "I'll give you a warning... Leave now while leaving the stone here, and I'll spare you." Xero growled and then charged at the man and swung her scythe at him; an aura of darkness radiated from the blade as she did.

Valinton took a single step back, positioning himself as he caught the blade of the scythe with his bare right hand. Xero looked at him wide eyed, 'He just simply caught the blade with out as much as a flinch!? Valinton locked his fingers tight around the blade and pulled the scythe toward him along with a dazed Xero and kicked her in the stomach as he did. Xero was bent over coughing and gasping for air as she was winded by the kick. She then suddenly felt herself being pushed down and she slammed into the ground after a drop-kick to the back.

Xero slowly got back up still in a daze from the sudden attacks. It all happened so fast that she could barely replay in her mind what just happened. Valinton was standing in front of her as she stood up and he looked down at her with a glare, "This is your last chance... Leave now or die..." He said coldly.
"F**k you, you've done it now." Xero said as she was still trying to catch her breath.
"So be it..."

Valinton attempted to grab her but Xero suddenly disappeared and then appeared again behind and above as she came down with her scythe slashing Valinton. The man quickly jumped to the side as Xero's scythe slammed into the ground; luckily she planned ahead and she had a feeling he would dodge the attack. Once the scythe came in contact with the ground, a huge shockwave of darkness practically exploded from the scythe from the amount of force that was put into the scythe as it hit the ground.

Valinton was knocked back from the shockwave and hit the side if a wall and suddenly saw Xero coming after him fast, her scythe ready to slash at him again. Valinton ducked as Xero swung the weapon's blade toward his head and then he quickly came back up as he roughly pressed his palm onto her chest. He shouted something in another language and a pulse of darkness threw Xero back about twenty feet.

Xero luckily landed on her feet and attempted to use dark firaga but Valinton had already beaten her with a magic attack as she saw a sphere of darkness... No, multiple spheres of darkness coming at her at high speeds. She acted quickly and brought up a dark barrier and the spheres practically exploded as they came in contact with the shield.

Valinton suddenly stopped throwing dark spheres and just stood there. Xero dissipated the barrier but kept her guard up as they both had a stare down. Valinton then suddenly broke out in a maniacal laughter as he looked up at the sky. Xero just looked at the man in confusion, "You wanna tell me what the hell is so funny?" Valinton stopped laughing and gave her a mischievous grin, "It's almost as if I'm fighting myself." Valinton held his hand out toward Xero, "But now I suppose its time to take this fight to the next level..."

His shadow began to grow and a bird like creature came out of it and onto his hand. The bird then spontaneously combusted into black flames and the flames engulfed both the bird and Valinton. Xero just watched as the smokes of the black flames began to form a cloud around the two.

What Xero saw next wasn't the man she saw before, nor was it the bird. It wasn't a heartless or a Nobody either; it was a creature of darkness itself. It had legs that almost looked like twigs with the head of some kind serpent. It's tail was really long and its body was oddly shapped. It looked buff but at the same time it looked like a skeleton and on its back were multiple trendles that had hands on the ends of them.

Xero just looked at the creature wide eyed. Was that even Valinton anymore? She had never seen anything like it before and she spoke in almost a whisper, "What are you...?" The creature then roared loudly with an ear piercing roar that seemed to rattle everything around them. It almost broke the glass on the windows of the houses.

Xero covered her ears from the loud roar and she stood her ground, "Fine, you wanna take it to the next level, I'll give you something that's 'in the next level'." Xero's body began to radiate with darkness, "Activate D-link: Seeker of Darkness." She said and then the darkness around her began to take the form of the Guardian that Ansem had.

 

Eon had arrived. The man looked out into the distance to see nothing but darkness radiate to the heavens above. "Micky, you should have asked me to come much sooner. From the amount of darkness roaming the worlds, its a miracle the war hasn't even started." His head lashed over o his right as he sensed the presence of other wielders. Were they of the light and fought for truth, or were they of the dark in the battle for evil. The question was always that. Even if they used Darkness, that doesn't mean they have chosen a different side.

A loud sound screeched from the distance. "A heartless...? It feels different from the regular ones that appear. That's also... where the other keyblade wielders are. It would be best if they got some help." He rushed off toward their location. His speed wasn't all that great, but compared to the young people in this RP, it was still somewhat better. Within a matter of minutes, he would arrive to the location of wielders like Xero and R. He however was unaware of their names.

"Enter the Exotic Eon. Looks like you kids got a big one. I cam right on time." He said with a bright smile looking at them all. He flicked his wrist and his keyblade suddenly appeared. "Its been a long time since I fought a battle. Hope you kids can keep up." He laughed staring down the beast in front of them. He soon after charged face first into the beast. Some would think that was suicidal, but Eon had a secret, his training back in the days of his childhood granted him some special abilities.

The Guardian had appeared behind Xero and she was about to charge toward Valinton, ready to block anything he threw at her with the Guardian. But then she heard someone shout and she stopped. She just looked at the new comer a bit confused, and as she saw him run toward Valinton she thought he was crazy, "You fool! Stop!" Suddenly she saw a man walk up to her and demand that she leave.

She scoffed and gave a frustrated glare at Cloud, "Do you people even know what you're getting yourselves into?!" She shouted angrily at him, "You people are all idiots!" She stomped her foot on the ground and the Guardian growled at Cloud, "I think YOU'RE the one that should leave before you get yourself killed." Xero warned. She pointed at Valinton, "Do you even know what that THING is? I mean, I sure as hell don't! But you people just decide to barge right in without even thinking about what it can do!"

As Xero had an angry rant at Cloud and the new comer suddenly ran toward Valinton, he mentally smirked, 'DIE!' He bucked up on his hind legs and inhaled deeply, then he came back down and opened his mouth. As he did, a flamethrower of dark firaga rushed out of his mouth toward everyone that was around him as he spread the fire all around him.

 

Eon smirked at Cloud and Leon. "You both haven't changed a bit. Glad to see that." He saw the beast use a dark fire attack. His keyblade began to glow as he yelled out a command. "Wide Guard!" His keyblade extended and grew to defend the attack. It vanished and returned to his hand at normal size. He continued his charge as he slashed at it with his keyblade. "You don't understand. They call me The Shield for a reason." He continued to attack. "Throw the best you got!"

The fight between the two was interrupted by bullets flying past their heads. "Do not interfere." R said calmly, pointing his blade at Squall. "If you do, then i gurentee your life is at stake." With that, the heartless pounced his opponent, transforming his buster sword into a scimitar. "Dark sovereign!" He called, conjuring the solid black orbs which propelled themselves alongside his cut. ​

​

Xindai utilized his Star crystal's abilities quite a bit. One moment he was in front of R, the next he was behind him. Flashing from place to place and avoiding the strikes and countering with hand to hand attacks. Finally, he was stopped by R catching his fist with an armored hand. He had donned his black adamant armor. The dark creator was hit with what felt like the force of a freigh train, knocking him back several feet. He scowled at the heartless, before sending his glaive flying at him, imbuded with the power of darkness. ​

​

R sent his dark sovereigns to counter it, but they were no match for darkness of that magnitude, the glaive shattered them and went straight for R. With his unimaginably hard shield, It was deflected while knocking R back. "Dark creator, you are a worthy opponent." R began, speaking as though the fight was about to draw to a close. R was about to go as far as he could without using "that". "Black Rains" A dark puff of smoke appeared behind him and materialized itself into a blade, then another which became a spear, and another sword, then an axe. They picked up speed in appearance until behind him stood a Plethora of weapons, as many as drops of water fall from the sky in a storm. ​

Xindai knew full well that he couldn't stop this attack, so his best hope was to use his reflexes to parry as many as he could. He grinned and motioned his finger as if saying "come on" with that, the hailstorm of weapons rained down upon Xindai and the city behind him. ​

Valinton was a bit surprised that the man was able to block the fire attack and still attack. He was caught off guard by it even and was hit by the slash from the man's keyblade. He then saw that R had summoned many weapons and that they were headed toward Xindai. He glared at Eon and then ran towards him. The tendrils on his back quickly wrapped around Eon, taking the man with him as Valinton ran as fast as he could toward Xindai. He jumped up onto the roof and in front if Xindai as he held Eon in front of both of them.'If you want to live through this, I suggest you use that Wide Guard of yours to shield us all from those weapons! You don't exactly have a choice at the moment "SHIELD"! ' Valinton hissed at Eon as he held him in place with the tendrils

 

Eon simply laughed at it. He was an armored tank. He would get a few scratches at best. "You underestimate me. This will only hurt a little for me. How much will it hurt for you?" His grin getting larger. They came flying down at them. Eon could escape it if he really saw it best, but it was more fun to make the creature believe it had a chance. Some scratched passed Eon causing small cuts to appear. It stung a little, but there was no critical damage. It barely even managed through his skin. His defense came at a price however. His attack wasn't the best because of the strong focus on his defensive stat. Either way, the beast was sure to be in pain after this attack.

Lysa smiles softly as she pulls the ship into a landing, the trees of a secluded clearing rising up around them, shielding the craft from sight from all directions but upwards. She starts to undo the crash harness around herself and Sapphire and pops the cockpit canopy, then leans around to glance at Annabelle, frowning in confusion as she finds the cargo compartment to be empty, "what the hell? Sapphire... Where'd Annabelle go?"​

Caleb hopped onto the glider silently and a little nervously. He had never been on a keyblade glider before, so he didn't want to screw up and fall to his death. Upon arrival to the tower, Caleb leaped off the glider quickly and laid down on the ground as he breathed out a sigh of relief. "Never again..that thing is horrible" he said quietly to himself, showing his dislike towards the keyblade glider. He then stood up and walked inside the tower. He noticed the king, a small mouse which was a little odd, a desk, couple of windows, the girl from the village, some mo- he stopped mid thought. Glancing back around the room, he came to realize he was right. It was the girl from the village.

Kaxar had been standing in the room quietly, thinking about the burden the king had spoken of. Was it really that much of a burden, having the power to free people from darkness? After seeing the darkness take over Glen to the point he couldn't stop himself, was there truly hope for freeing him from the addiction to darkness? It was then that Caleb walked into the room. Kaxar couldn't help but let out a gasp. It was the boy from the village, the one that she had run past briefly as she was crying, and the one that was the one that had always helped the others.

Caleb walked over quickly to Kaxar. "You! You're the girl from the village! You're the only other person i've met that survived the attack!" Caleb exclaimed. Kaxar took a step back, a little frightened of how quickly Caleb got to the point. "Y-yes" she stammered. Caleb decided to slow down his speaking, calm himself down a little bit. The girl was clearly frightened, or at least uncomfortable. He took a deep lungful of air and then proceeded to speak again. "I know this might be a little off-putting, and I apologize if it is, but did you by any chance see what it was that destroyed the village..that killed my family and friends?" the boy asked, desperate to finally find out. Kaxar gulped. She knew exactly what had destroyed the village, or more a case of who did it, but how was she to explain it? "I did..I-it was a black creature, w-with yellow eyes" she lied. Gexln had more than enough enemies, he didn't need another. "A HEARTLESS?!" Caleb cried out in shock. How was he to find the creature now? Well, at least he knew what had done it, so that put his mind at ease somewhat.

"We have come here for a very specific reason. We need to find something, but that something is buried deep in the past, at least according to R anyway. I know where and when, but I have no idea how to get there, or rather then. That's where you come in. If what R says is true, you've got a way to get to that time, is this true? If it is, we need that way ASAP" Gexln explained, getting straight to the point. There was no point in beating around the bush. Either he had a way, or he didn't. Either way, once he found out whether the wizard did have a way to go back in time or not, he could help Xero and R deal with the others.

"Tch, I wasn't the fool who started the fight." Xero said as she called off the Guardian. She then pointed up at Xindai, "He did. I didn't want to fight." She then dismissed her weapon, "So if you want to talk to him about moving the fight elsewhere, then talk to him." She then began walking toward Merlin's house.

'WHAT?!' Valinton shouted at Eon as he refused to use the Wide Guard, his eyes widened. As the weapons rained down, they barely scratched the man but Valinton wasn't so lucky. One of the bladed weapons came down and cut off the tendrils that were holding Eon. He screeched as he roared in pain, and another blade came down and went right through his lower back and through his stomach.

​

Valinton reverted back to his original form, kneeling down on the roof coughing up blood. His right hand was gone, for it resembled the trendils he had while in the form he took as a creature of the dark. He put his left hand around the blade that was protruding out of his stomach and soon realized that he wasn't going to be able to pull it out in time. He looked toward Eon with frustration and anger, "D...amn... You... " Valinton's vision began to blacken and his heart beat slowed. He looked back at Xindai with a glare of everlasting hatred, "And you..." He practically growled his words as he spoke, "I hope you get trapped in that Godforsaken Dark Relm.. for as long as I was...! You of all people... Deserve it... For what you've done to Inwonahe... " Valinton then fell to the ground, lifeless.

 

Staring at dying Valinton, R remained expressionless. Several buildings behind the pair had collapsed entirely from so many punctures in their walls. The heartless remained motionless as Leon charged him from behind. A simple wall-shape of darkness was fabricated behind him to guard R from the attack. His blank stare turned to Eon, who had withstood his barrage of weapons. His durability was astounding. Unfortunately he was with the enemy. The lights were growing stronger with each passing minute, but soon the eternity stone would be theirs. R's hope to turn the tides of the coming war in their favor. If they were to claim it, it would have to be quickly. The war was rapidly approaching and the time for preparations nearly over. Once the storm of weapons had ceased, R listened to the words of Xindai.​

"Well done Valinton. I must thank you for that. You and that boy made an excellent shield." Said the dark creator smugly. There wasn't a scratch on him. "I admit i may have nudged a few strikes in your direction, but it's better you than me eh?" This was followed by a sick chuckle. "You weren't quite as useful as i had imagined though. A single fight and you're down for the count? What kind of general is that? Perhaps you should have died with the original world." Xindai picked up the lifeless body after Valinton was dead with his telekinetic powers and tossed into a dark corridor. "You spent so much time in that realm. Seems fitting for your final resting place" Yet another chuckle. It seemed as though he was amused at the death of his general. His attention then turned to R fending off Leon. "This has turned into more of a street fight than a duel between the two of us eh? Hardly a satisfying victory with so many outside forces. I bid you farewall, R. We shall meet again." Xindai concluded, then vanished in a flash. ​

 

Eon saw the beast fall to the ground once it transformed back into a human like creature. "I do not wish for your life to be destroyed by these kind of miens. I shall give you some of my light to restore your almost faded life. Perhaps you will do better with this second chance." Eon pointed his keyblade at Valinton and turned it like an actual key. Some light came out and surrounded its body. Once the rays of light were absorbed, Eon fell to a knee. "That hurts like hell every time." His breathing became heavier. He tried to signal to Cloud or Leon to assist him back to the tower. He turned back t the man beast. "Don't make the mistake I did..."

"Why should you trust me? You shouldn't. I'm a Nobody of the Dark, I live for violence, i'm one of the most untrustworthy people you could ever rely on. The thing is, I'm not asking you to trust me. I'm asking you to trust him" Gexln said, pointing towards R with his right hand. "That guy isn't like me, he doesn't seem to believe in pointless violence. He's working towards a future of peace, and as boring as that sounds to me i'm trying to help him achieve it, now either tell us what we need to know, or get out of our way" Gexln said.

Xero looked up where R and Xindai were and saw that Valinton was stabbed in the back and lost his right arm. After she saw him fall to the ground she simply walked into the house and saw Gexln talking with Merlin, "So did you get it?" She asked Gexln as she cautiously looked out the window.

Ooc: I don't know if I'll bring Valinton back or not. I may or may not post as him later. I kind of had other plans. :L
