The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Gexln sighed. "It looks like you're not quite strong enough to do it alone. Sooner or later, you're going to have to confront the guy that owns the darkness inside of you, you know that right? If you can force him to give up, it'll be your own and you shouldn't have any issues with him" Gexln said. He walked over to Xero and sat down next to her. "Until then though, something has to be done about it. Here" he said as he placed his hands on Xero's shoulders. After closing his eyes in concentration, a dark purple aura could be seen radiating off Gexln. He was transferring some of his darkness to Xero. After it was done, Gexln opened his eyes.

"There. What I just did, I'm not so sure many others would be able to do. I put some of my own darkness inside of you. Not a whole lot, but enough so that if he tries to take over it should be enough to hold it off for a while. Long enough at least that I can do what I did earlier and take it out of you" Gexln explained. He stood up now. "Anyway, would you like me to keep trying to teach you here, or do you think we should go back to R?" the Nobody of the dark asked.

"It won't be necessary for you to go near the Dark Realm. There is nothing there, save for the air of agony and despair it provides within." Xindai responded. The slightest hint of a smirk appeared at the corner of his mouth. "As for getting to other worlds, you should use the method you used to get here. But you'll need this..." Xindai said as he placed his forefinger on Valinton's head. Immediately, he began transferring what knowledge he had of the worlds to Valinton so that Valinton would know the location of each world. Turning around, Xindai began walking away from Valinton slowly. "Oh and Valinton" he called back as he walked. "Do not try to find me, I won't be here. I will find you" he finished, still walking.

Xero just looked at Gexln as he allowed his darkness to flow into her. When he explained what he did and what it would do she looked down a bit and then looked back up at Gexln as he stood up and asked her if she wanted to continue or return to R. She gave him a determined look, "I want to try one more time."

Xero stood up and did the same thing she did earlier. The darkness became a visible aura around her and she focused on the darkness around her as well. She felt relieved that Ansem wasn't attempting anything so far, and she opened her eyes and asked Gexln, "What do I do now?"

Valinton nodded to Xindai and asked, "And if I find this 'R', do I kill him, or leave him? I have a feeling you need him for something so I'm assuming you want me to some how bring him here..."

Gexln was impressed. A few moments ago Xero had seemed like she'd never be able to manage it, and now she seemed to be pulling it off just fine. "Well, now that you've done that you take in the darkness around you, absorb all of it into yourself. Once you've done that, you're going to have to focus every bit of it into one attack" Gexln said. He pointed at a rock just a short distance away from Xero. "See that rock? Focus the darkness into a dark firaga and shoot the results at that rock" he ordered.

Xindai nearly laughed. "If you find R, don't fight him. Study him closely, the more we know the better, but if what I learned from the people that came here earlier is true then R is someone you would be better off leaving to me" he responded quickly. He had hope that Valinton would heed his words, but if need be he could probably manage it with his power.

Xero looked at the rock and took in the darkness around her, forming a black ball of fire in front of her. She kept letting it get bigger and then once it was about the size of a large ball, she launched it and hit the rock; leaving a scorched spot on the side of the rock.

Xero smiled as she saw the spell hit successfully and turned back to Gexln, "Well that seemed a lot easier to do. How about something a little harder? Like..." Xero thought for a moment and then remembered hearing something about what was called a D-Link, "Have you ever heard of a D-Link?" She asked.

Valinton turned and opened a dark corridor and walked through without saying anything else. The corridor lead to Twilight Town's train station. He looked around a bit and saw the sun set. He hadn't seen the sun for 1000 years and he basked in the warmth of the sunlight, "I had almost forgotten what the sun looked like..."

"D-Link?" Gexln echoed. His entire life, he'd never heard of the phrase. "I can't say that I have. What exactly is it? And how is it going to help here?" he questioned. His mind wondered what it could be. Perhaps it meant something like Directional-Link, or maybe Destructive-Link, perhaps Darkness-Link? Darkness-Link seemed the most likely.

 

"Alright..." Annabelle said. She got up and limped to the item shop, being careful to avoid anyone other than the clerk there.

She paid for a few potions and casually drank one, healing her wounds. "Whew... Thanks dude. Keep the change." Then she walked back to the ship. "Are you guys ready?"

"What use is she dead? What use are any of them dead?" Ruby sighed. Was she fighting for the right side? She was violent, sure, but Annabelle and Sapphire were their little sisters. Killing them was a bit much. She let out a loud sigh. "I just want to rest for a bit before we do anything else..." Ruby kicked of her shoes and sat in a chair. Her feet were sore.

Garnet turned to Luna, nodded, and then followed Louvel. "Hey! I'm coming with you!"

Luna sighed at being left alone with Beuce. Oh goodie... She'd be hit on over and over again.
"Don't look so down, you're stuck with me, and I'm 20% more man than Louvel or anyone else here."
Ugh, what an idiot.

"A D-Link is a Dimensional Link that allows two people that have forged some kind of bond to use each other's abilities. I've never tried it before because I've never really 'bonded' with anyone, but I think we have enough of a bond to be able to use it." Xero said as she put her finger to her lips as she thought, "The only thing missing is some kind of item with the D-Link spell casted on it... If the people that share the bond have one, they can use the D-Link."

Caleb searched around in the mansions, but try as he might he could not find R anywhere. He slammed his fist against the wall he was in front of in anger. "He got away.." was all he said. If anyone were to pay attention, they would know that Caleb was clearly pissed off that someone he saw as a threat had escaped without anybody seeing. He turned and faced Louvel. He pointed his finger at Louvel. "We searched, he isn't here, but you said others were in danger. Take me to them" he said.

​

Kaxar let out a breath of relief. The king had given permission, that was a good sign in her eyes. It meant she could help the others, and slow down the progression of darkness, but at the same time something the king had said stood out. "With all due respect your majesty, the keyblade is only a burden to those that don't know how to wield it properly" Kaxar said quickly, before putting a hand over her mouth to silence herself. Had she really just insulted someone?

"Something that the two both have.." Gexln echoed. He crossed his arms, thinking for a moment. "What if it wasn't an object, but the person itself?" he asked. To explain what he meant, he willed himself into Anti Form. Whisps of darkness began floating around him, and his skin turned completely black whilst his eyes turned a bright yellow colour, but given that he had such good control over darkness he remained in control of his Anti Form. "Like an Anti Form?" he questioned in the dry, raspy distorted voice that his Anti Form used.

Xero looked at Anti-Gexln with a mischievous grin, "I like the way you think. I suppose it could work." She too then allowed herself into the anti form, "We should make this quick, I'm not sure how long I can retain this form without getting weaker." She said. Xero then held out her hand to Gexln, palm facing forward. A small aura of darkness glowed on her hand as she was casting the D-Link spell, "Put your hand on mine and the D-Link should activate."

Valinton looked around the plaza and saw that no one was around. He sighed a bit and then thought that there might be something interesting at the mansion. He opened a dark corridor and walked through and ended up in the same room as Caleb and Louvel. He looked up a bit wide eyed not expecting to accidentally run into people, "I seem to have stumbled into the wrong area..." He said as he closed the corridor.

Gexln went through with what Xero had asked him to do. Placing his hand onto hers, making sure that his palm was facing forward, he felt an extreme surge of strength in the hand. He assumed that it was because of the D-Link, after all what else could it be? After a few moments, the strength resided and Gexln chose to revert back into his regular form. He raised an eyebrow and looked at Xero. "So now what?" he asked, impatient as ever to continue.

Caleb's attention was torn away from Louvel at the appearance of a newcomer. Where had he come from? Was there a secret room that nobody knew about? He turned to face the newcomer. "Haven't seen you around here before. Normally, I would ask you who you are, but i'm on a bit of a tight schedule at the moment" Caleb stated. He turned to Louvel once again and took a step towards the wielder, standing directly in front of Louvel so that he could read the boy's face more easily. He wasn't quite sure what to make of Louvel, or even if he was someone that Caleb himself wanted on his side. "If there are truly others in danger, I cannot stand simply stand here and wait. Take me to them, as fast as you can would be nice" he said.

Xero also reverted back to her original state and then looked at Gexln, "Now, whenever we are in our Anti Forms, we should be able to call out for a D-Link. And as long as we're in our Anti Forms, the D-Link will continue." She said. Xero then sighed, "But due to me not being able to stay in the Anti Form very long, we will only be able to stay in a D-Link for so long. The time is always different, so we should always make every second count while in a D-Link. I'm not exactly sure what our abilities are as Anti Form D-Links to be honest..."

Xero then walked over to the shore of the Dark Realm and watched the water. She then stared at the moon as it shined down onto the shimmering water. Xero smiled to herself a bit as she realized how pretty it really was," You know, this place is actually quite peaceful.. and pretty too." She turned her head to look at Gexln, "What do you think?"

Lysa gestures with her hand, Annabelle would find herself being lifted up, as though gravity no longer worked for her, "I'm as ready as I was when you left... hurry up and get in, the ship is going to attract attention if we don't leave soon," she says as she starts up the engines, placing her hand on the cockpit canopy's controls so that she can close it as soon as Annabelle is situated, "We're still headed to Twilight Town, right Sapphire?"​

Xero looked back to the ocean not exactly expecting an answer from Gexln about something like that. She signed and then turned back around, "Well I guess we should probably head back and find R." She said as she took a few steps toward Gexln.

​

Valinton just looked at the boy after he said there were others. Those "others" could possibly be linked to R some how and he needed to find him, "You." He said to the Caleb, "I can help you. With whatever you're looking for." He slightly raised a brow, "I know we just met, but I too am in a bit of a rush." This was half a lie. No he wasn't exactly in a hurry, but the sooner he found R the better.

Gexln shrugged his shoulders. "I guess so, we've been gone quite a while" he responded. Finding R wasn't going to be difficult, all he had to do was trace his Dark Signature, but what would happen then? He didn't think he was strong enough to bring R down at that moment, and trying would ruin everything. He sat down in the sand, and he realized that Xero was right; it was very pretty. He focused for a moment, allowing his senses to fully kick in. From world to world, he 'felt' each of the dark signatures of a person, from the lowliest individual to rich people, until he found R's. The tracking would usually leave him feeling more than a little sick the next day, but he would face that when he came to it.

The Nobody stood up and created a dark corridor, leading directly to R's location. He gestured to Xero to follow him, before motioning towards the dark corridor. "R's through there" he said simply. He took one last look at the realm of darkness before he stepped through, thinking to himself that it was nothing compared to the world that he knew so well.

After stepping through the dark corridor, Gexln found himself in Castle Oblivion. Well, haven't been here in a while he thought to himself. He approached R quietly, from what he could see he was in a conversation with the redheaded girl. He glanced at Kaya for a second, but said nothing, instead stepping forward so that he wasn't next to R, but he wasn't far from him. "Everything go fine in Twilight Town then?" he questioned, genuinely curious.

A red flag went off in Caleb's mind. First this person had mysteriously appeared, someone he had never seen before in Twilight Town (and he knew A LOT of people in Twilight Town), then without even knowing what Caleb was after he claimed to be able to help? Something wasn't right. Caleb's eyes narrowed slightly out of suspicion. "How do you expect to help without even knowing what it is I desire? You may be new here for all I know, and honestly it doesn't bother me whether or not you are, but if you are truly in a rush as you claim then I would imagine searching elsewhere would be quicker" Caleb responded to Valinton's statement. He didn't mean to come off as rude in the slightest, but he wasn't making an effort not to, either. There was no reason for him to, not when someone's lives could possibly be in danger.

Xero stepped into the dark corridor soon after Gexln and came to Castle Oblivion. She remembered being there once before, and hated it. She cringed at the thought of her memories being screwed up again but then she saw R and a few others. Xero looked at the ground as she walked closer to the small group. She didn't know them and she wasn't sure if she should trust them or not.

She then suddenly bumped into Gexln as he stopped and she just stood there with an awkward grin, "My bad.." When Gexln asked how it went back at Twilight Town, Xero perked up and was also a bit curious as to what happened, "You did get what you were there for, right?" She asked.

​

The corner of Valinton's lip slightly twitched as he was beginning to get frustrated with the boy, "Fine, but let me at least ask you this..." He took a step forward to Caleb, "Does the name R mean anything to you?"

 

​

At the mere mention of R, any attention that Caleb did not have on Valinton was now on him. The still fresh memory of his defeat at the hands of Gexln and the girl came back to him instantly, as did the ache that had come from the battle. Images flashed through his mind, of people laying on the ground in agonising pain, mourning over dead and digging fresh graves for many more; what he imagined would happen if he did not find and stop both R and Gexln. "R?!" he yelled loudly as he rushed forward and grabbed Valinton by the shoulders. He ran forward a few steps shoving Valinton until he had the man pinned against the wall of the mansion. He was sure now, that this man was somehow a man that he could not, and would not, trust.

Caleb raised his right fist threateningly and glared straight at Valinton, his face a mixture of paranoia and savage, intense fury. "What do you know about R?!" he demanded, nearly spitting in Valinton's face as he did so. If Valinton knew anything about R, Caleb greatly desired to know it, and he wanted to know there and then. Any plans R had, why R had been in twilight town, more about who exactly R WAS, it didn't matter. Caleb's right hand, now curled up into a fist, longed to summon a blade so that he could be ready and end Valinton if he so much as said one wrong thing to Caleb, but he held back a little bit, knowing that there was a slight chance that Valinton knew as much as he did about R.

Valinton's eyes widened at the boy's reaction to the mere mentioning of R. He then chuckled at the boy's threat to punch him as he was pinned. Valinton only gave the boy a small smirk, "I don't know anything really..." He said as he quickly shoved his right hand onto the boy's chest and spoke some sort of an ancient language as he released Dark Spirit Pulse, knocking the boy back away from him, "He said not to get engaged in battle unless I really need to... But I think I can make an exception with you... Being trapped in the Dark Realm for a thousand years really gets to you... But now I'm curious... What would happen if one from the Light is trapped in the Dark Realm for a thousand years...?"

Caleb was knocked back by the blast, but managed to land on his feet thanks to his naturally good reflexes. "What would happen is the one of light would find a way out, darkness can't keep me trapped forever" he responded quickly. It was then that Louvel demanded that Valinton leave, and he found himself feeling slightly appreciate of it. He was still ready to battle Valinton if it came down to it.

​

"Well, where do we begin? We fought some mind-reading wacko, saved Kaxar, and then I taught Xero how to control her darkness; something that will come in use, i'm sure" Gexln replied, answering R's question. He deliberately didn't tell R about the D-link, the less he knew of Gexln getting stronger the better. "Oh, also I learned how to use one of these" he said. He put Darkness' Sorrow in his right hand, then held out his left. He closed his eyes in concentration and silently willed the keyblade to him. Nothing happened. He cursed under his breath and tried once more, but again nothing happened. "I learned how to summon a keyblade, but it looks like I can't do it right now" he explained, doing his best to hide his irritation at being unable to summon the keyblade.

​

"So long as it helps me free those that have allowed darkness to overtake them, that's all that matters. If I have to shoulder a burden or two along the way, that's what I will do, your majesty" Kaxar responded politely, while speaking in a tone that made it sound as though she believed the words she spoke wholeheartedly, which she did.
