The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Gexln paused, now standing at the edge of the realm of darkness, near the waves. "Against that guy, you became possessed by darkness. Now, usually I would just leave you for dead, but I feel like if I'm going to be traveling around with you nearby, I would like to think that I'm not going to be attacked by some darkness-possessed maniac. So, I'm going to show you how to control your darkness, and I've brought you here because if you can control it in a place that is surrounded by darkness, you should be able to control it anywhere" he explained. He sat down on the cold, dark sand.

Lysa nods back at Annabelle, "alright, we'll be there soon..." she says, wincing at Sapphire's protests, "why don't we wait and see? I perfectly agree with the desire to be free, and I won't get in your way, I promise." Several minutes later she brings her ship in for a landing in Radiant Garden, "will you be alright to be dropped off here?" she asks, "I'd rather not leave the ship on the ground for too long around here."​

"That'd be helpful I suppose..." Xero looked at Gexln for a moment and then remembered when he extracted the darkness from her and almost killing her in the process. But she couldn't help but wonder... why did he stop? Why didn't he just kill her right then and there?
"Gexln... back there, when you were taking the darkness away from me... why didn't you just kill me then? Why even let me live?"

Gexln froze, clearly caught off guard from the question. How to explain it? He sighed, the best way would he honesty, he figured. "I know all too well what it's like to lose control to the darkness, but I learned to conquer it eventually. I learned how without any help, but it took a very long time. For your own sake, as well as mine, I think it's best you learned quickly" he responded. He wasn't entirely sure why he had done it himself, but he assumed what he had said was the truth.

Xero gave Gexln a small smile, "I guess the Nobody of the Dark has a bit of a soft spot, huh?" She then put her hands on her hips, "Well then let's get started! Tell me what I need to do."

 

Annabelle frowned. Sapphire would be caught again and all of this would end up pointless. She sighed. May as well not keep Sapphire away from her hiding place. In fact, why not just check on her a lot? Oh wait, she didn't have any way to break the fourth wall and check. "Can I just get some medical attention... Please?" She said, holding her side. Her ribs were probably broken, and her lungs felt bruised.

"I wonder what my sister's up to.." Garnet sighed.
"No problem sexy lady!" Beuce said, pulling out his iPhone and scrolling through KH-Vids, finding the Role-Play Arena, and coming to... "There we go! Light vs Darkness! Annabelle and Sapphire... Lysa... Gummi Ship... Ah! Here we go!" He read a little, then looked at Garnet. "She has a bruised lung and broken ribs. Sounds rough." Beuce said simply.
"...Darn it..." Garnet said.
Luna just patted her friend's back.

Lysa grits her teeth, then powers down the engines, "fine... but we have to make it quick... I really don't want to be on the ground too long here... someone might recognize one of you..." she says, "and we need to steer clear of Cid for sure... he's a friend of her brother's, and we can't let anyone get to Sapphire... are we clear on that?"​

Caleb froze upon hearing about the trouble. He really, really wanted to go confront R, to make sure everything was okay, but part of what Louvel said was true. There was no guarantee that R was still there, and if he was as intelligent as he seemed, he would know to move. He looked over his shoulder and looked Louvel directly in the eyes. "Fine, we'll play it your way. We'll go see this king, we'll go help the other people that need it, but if even a single person in Twilight Town is killed because of R when we get back, it will be you that will be digging their graves. Understood?" he said, voice still in a very serious tone. He then pointed at Azurite. "You there, how will we get to wherever 'there' is?" he questioned.

"What, just because i'm born of the darkness means that i'm not allowed to care once in a while?" Gexln questioned. He reached for Darkness' Sorrow and handed it over to Xero, hilt first. "The first thing you must do is take my blade and bring it to those rocks over..." he began, eyes scanning the horizon. His eyes came to rest on two rocks that had small pebbles around it. He pointed at them. "There. Go sharpen Darkness' Sorrow on those rocks using the smaller ones" he ordered.

"Tea? Okay then. Would you like some Gex-" she started as she turned to look behind her, about to offer Gexln some tea too. She was dissapointed, but not surprised, to see that he was gone. Men she thought to herself in disappointment, and the slightest hint of frustration. She looked back at the King and then she proceeded to walk up the stairs.

​

Xindai closed his eyes for a moment. "I had a...meeting" he replied, not giving a clear answer to Valinton's question. He opened his eyes once again. "Valinton, you should know that things are different from how you remember them. There are people here that even you may struggle with, people that could present themselves as opposition to ourselves unless something is done" the Dark Creator explained.

Lysa winces, her hand hovering over the ignition button on her console, "Sapphire... do you really want to leave her like this?" she asks in a slightly pained tone.​

Xero smiled with a small laugh and then stopped.as.Gexln handed her his weapon and told her to sharpen it. She just stared at it for a moment and looked at Gexln questioningly as she took the hilt, "Okay?" She said.

She walked over to the rocks and sat down as she picked up one of the smaller rocks. She rubbed the side of the rock on the edge of the blade, "So.." she paused as she thought of the question she was about to ask, "Why am I doing this exactly?"

Valinton closed his eyes for a moment, "I can see that this world has been destroyed.." he opened his eyes and exhaled as he did and looked at his right hand that wasn't the hand of a normal being, "I find it funny how the darkness works." He said, "Something that can be used for power can also be used for destruction."

He took a step forward, "What do we do now? Everything is gone."

Gexln smirked slightly. "Because you need to learn when not to poke fun at someone that could rip you apart" he said. He walked over and cautiously took Darkness' Sorrow away from Xero. "Also, she was looking a little dull" he added. He then looked Xero in the eyes. "Now, would you like me to actually teach you now or would you like to continue making fun of one of the few people capable of teaching you how to control your darkness?" he questioned. His voice was that of a slight joking manner, but his words hinted that he was more agitated by the comment than he had let on.

Xindai thought for a moment. Valinton raised a valid point, everything really was gone. Powerful as he and Valinton were, he would need to calculate a plan if they were to succeed in the new world that they had awakened to. Remembering Valinton's question, he decided he should probably respond to it. "I suppose I should fill you in on why exactly everything is destroyed. Upon awakening, I ran into something, a suit of armour that somehow had the will to battle. It didn't pose too much of a threat, I took care of it, but I decided to obtain information on what had happened while I rested. I took two girls to extract information, and two people came after them. I discovered that there is a war going on centered around Kingdom Hearts, and both the Light and the Dark side are competing for it. One of the girls I had taken were of the Light, the other the Dark. The same could be said for the boys that came after them. I killed one of the males, the one that was on the Light side from what I gathered." Xindai explained carefully, doing his best to inform Valinton of his situation.

Xindai began pacing, continuing to explain his plan to Valinton as best he could. "Given that I killed one of the alliance, I would imagine that they would retaliate in some form. What they will do, I cannot be sure of, but for the moment it would be best not to take any chances. I will rest a short while, and recover; for only a few days, not a very long time. While I do that, I would prefer if you attempted to find out more about these Light and Dark alliances...I could only find out so much from the girls, as both of them seemed to be rather new to their respective sides. In particular try to discover some things about a man called R, he is a person that needs to have some attention dedicated to him. Once I have rested, we will calculate the next move, but in the meantime I need you to do that" Xindai finished. He stopped pacing now, and turned to face Valinton once more. "If anyone questions you and you have learned all you can from them, you may eliminate them, but if you choose to do that, then do so in a quiet fashion" he added, lacing his voice with his manipulating tone as he spoke the last sentence.

Kaxar nodded, understanding what the King meant. She knew just how easily darkness could take over a person, knew how hard it was to stop once it had a hold on them. She would not let others suffer the same fate that Glen had. "Your majesty, if I could suggest something.." she started. She then paused, how was she to ask the question she was about to ask? The direct approach seemed best. "Let me fight with the others. I-I know I may look weak but I promise you that I will work to be stronger, I won't let any more suffer from the darkness like they did!" she cried, thinking of both Verox and Gexln as she spoke. She summoned her keyblade, True Light's Flight, as she spoke. "I used to hate this, I saw it as nothing but a burden. But lately I have come to realize that the keyblade is a tool to help people with, and if it chose me I want to do what I can to prove that it didn't make the wrong choice. Please, your majesty, Please let me do this" she begged. She didn't know if King Mickey would try to stop her or not, but she was pouring every last ounce of effort into convincing him.

Confused, Caleb stood there for a moment. Just a minute ago Louvel was talking about not searching at all, providing a good point about R possibly not being in the mansion, and now he was dismissing all that to go search anyway? "These people are strange" he said quietly to himself. He followed behind Louvel and began searching the old mansion, trying to search as quickly as possible so that he wouldn't waste much time, if any.

Xero frowned at Gexln from his comments that he had made but then looked at him with a smirk, "You're not such a bad guy after all Gexln.." she said as she stood up and dusted herself off. She looked back up at Gexln and gave him a small smile, "But you can be an ass sometimes." She said in a bit of a joking way, "But, yeah.. I think you should teach me now."

 

Even though Kel was pretty quiet the whole time the others were debating about what to do about R, he was in thought about the whole thing. All the arguing that they were doing was pointless. If they had time to do this, then they could think of a better idea that didn't lead to a fuss. Still he remained quiet as they searched.

In truth, Xross had figured that Kaya and Ruby would be able to handle the mission themselves, which is why he did nothing. Turns out he was wrong. Clearly they don't know how to deal with the wielder of light. While he had no idea what exactly happened, he was positive that it would've gone different it he had token care of it.

Lysa nods and glances down toward Annabelle, "Do you hear that? Get your medical help and get back... I'll stay with Sapphire and make sure that no-one comes for her... and you'd better not contact anyone about this, we're doing this for Sapphire, not her siblings," she says, her voice serious and steady. Lysa strings up her bow and lays her quiver alongside her and Sapphire, "I'm sorry about the cramped space... this isn't a passenger ship... and I'm pretty sure that you don't want anyone around here seeing you... some of the 'Lights' told me that you used to live here."​

 

Gexln chuckled quietly. "Sometimes? I must be losing my touch" he said. Gexln looked at the horizon of the realm of darkness. "Although, to be perfectly honest with you, Xero, I'm not quite the same as you think I am" Gexln said quietly. He sat down on the sand for just a minute. "People always view me as this complete and utter ass, someone you wouldn't want anyone to be around. Thing is, I'm not exactly like that. Don't get me wrong, I do love violence, couldn't live without it. But a long time ago, something happened to my other, he lost control of the darkness unwillingly and killed his village, and..he hurt Kara. Truth be told, not a hell of a lot has changed personality-wise between me and Glen, I just kind of act like it has. I can't, and won't, hurt someone ever again the way that Kara was" Gexln explained, revealing his huge lie.

Spoiler: What's better for her is better for me

Gexln carried Darkness' Sorrow, flicking around the blade a little bit as he walked. He was getting used to the weight of it as best as he could, seeing as how he had only just received it from Luxek. Immediately he had learned how to open a dark corridor. It wasn't particularly difficult, attuned to darkness as he was. Naturally, the first place he had gone to had been his old village. He wanted to see Kara again. Something that confused him was the fact that when he got there was that she was gone (as was to be expected) but he could still smell her. He knew that Kara was fond of nice smelling perfumes, but that wasn't what he smelt. What was it? It tasted bitter in his mouth, and the smell wasn't particularly nice. It was darkness. Enduring the terrible stench, he followed his nose and headed towards where it told him that Kara was.

As he approached the other village, the one that Rufus had been rumoured to be born in, he could sense the smell getting stronger. He continued walking, until finally he heard a cry of pain. He crept around the corner and took cover behind some nearby bushes. A little creepy if anyone saw, but he didn't want to disturb Kara. He saw her crying on the ground, the ground beneath her wet. She was making no effort to conceal it either, presumably because she was unaware that anyone was watching. Oh how he wanted to walk over and just wrap her up in his arms, to just whisper in her ear "It's okay, i'm here now" but he couldn't. He had killed her entire family, and what few friends she had. He had destroyed the life that she had known, hadn't he? If she knew he was there, how would she react? With a tear in his eye, Gexln realized what he had to do.

He stood up from where he was and quietly turned away and began walking out of the village. He would not be able to hug her, he would not be able to tell her that everything would be okay. All he brought was despair and sorrow while he was associated with the darkness, but without the darkness he was weak. If he was weak, he couldn't protect her, and people would be able to push him around once again. The solution was simple, he would not allow anyone inside his 'circle of trust'. He would push people away, make himself into someone that nobody would want to be around. It was the only way to ensure that what had happened would never occur again. He felt around in his pockets for the gift that Kara had made him. Where is it, where is it?! It's gone it's not here anymore it's- he thought as his hand closed on the small symbol. It's safe Gexln thought to himself, relieved that the only thing he had to remember Kara by was still in one piece. He looked over his shoulder as he continued walking away from Kara and the village. "I'm sorry that I have to leave, Kara, but it's for the best. It's better for both of us if I have nothing to do with your life" Gexln said quietly, tears welling up as he walked. He would not allow himself to cry though, for he saw crying as a form of weakness. Leaving his old life behind him, Gexln walked through the village gates and onwards to the beginning of his new one. ​

He stood up now, picking Darkness' Sorrow off the ground where he'd laid it. "Anyway, that's enough about my background, I told you I'd help and I'm going to. Never taught someone else though, so don't be surprised if it turns out that I'm not that good. First thing you want to do is try and release your darkness as an aura, get as much of it as possible out of your system. Not too quickly though, do it slowly so that you don't overwork yourself" Gexln explained, doing his best to teach the technique.

"Wow.. you must've had it rough.." Xero said as she just looked at the ground. She then looked back up at Gexln as he began telling her what to do. Xero then gave him a single nod and then closed her eyes to focus. She felt the dark energy being released slowly around her, slowly becoming a stronger aura.

​

Valinton simply raised a brow not exactly showing any other facial expression but that, "People? You mean there's others still here? That's impossible."

 

​

Gexln watched Xero carefully, taking a seat now to observe. He had his hand resting on Darkness' Sorrow, prepared to fight if the darkness got a hold on her; but he hoped it would not come to that. "Now, draw in the darkness in this place, make it your own. Prove to yourself and the one who's darkness you have within you that you are no slave to the darkness" Gexln encouraged.

Xindai eyed Valinton. One small slip of the tongue could ruin everything, mind manipulation or not. "There are others, but they are not here. Valinton, during your stay in the realm of darkness the multi-verse has changed. It expanded, grew, and now there is more than one world. Each world is connected by the lanes between, but they can be easily traversed. I will teach you how to traverse these worlds on one small condition; You do what I asked, and report to me on the actions of both the lights and the darknesses, and when the time comes you lend me your blade" Xindai proposed.

Xero inhaled deeply and could feel the darkness around her begin to turn into energy. Suddenly she felt her concentration slipping when she felt something trying to emerge. The aura around her began to become wavy and not as calm as it was before. She struggled for a few moments as she felt it trying to take more of the darkness.

"Ugh!" Xero then quickly let her concentration go and same with the darkness. The aura quickly faded away and Xero held her head feeling woozy, "Figures.. I knew he would try and take the darkness again.." Xero clenched her fist in frustration, "I don't know how I can do this with him still inside me.. he only takes the darkness I have and uses it to fuel his next possession. The more of it I use the quicker it happens.."

"Other worlds.."Valinton just stared at Xindai for a moment and thought about his offer, "Fine." He simply said, "But don't expect me to go anywhere near the Dark Relm, let alone go back to it." He said stirnly, "Now teach me how to get to these other worlds."
