The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Xero's eyes slowly flattered open and her blurred vision and islowly become clearer. She weakly tried sitting up, slowly rising in place as she held her head from the headache she now had. Although Gexln had extracted Ansem's darkness from her, it was only a matter of time before he tried possessing her again; His darkness would slowly build up until it overflowed out of her.

Xero then slowly tried standing up, the sounds around her all seemed meshed together and not very clear. Almost as if an explosion just happened right next to her and all she could hear was a ringing in her ear while all the other sounds were muffled. The world around her seemed to be moving slowly as she moved normally.

Her dull and tired eyes looked weakly around the area, seeing that Xindai, Gexln and Verox had engaged in battle. She saw Kaxar too but she was attacking the others for some reason she didn't know. Xero looked around more and saw her scythe on the ground a few feet away from her. She began walking towards it, her legs feeling heavy as if she had a ball and chain attached to them.

When she reached her scythe she slowly knelt down to get it. As the small amount of darkness poured into her, the world around her soon seemed to revert back to normal and she felt a bit more strength come back to her. Xero was still weak but she was strong enough to fight now.

She looked over to the others and saw Gexln and Verox go into a corridor. Then she looked back up toward Xindai and glared at him for a moment, she knew fighting him would be a bad idea. The exposure of the darkness around him would only speed up the dark possession Ansem planned. She then looked at Kaxar... She noticed that even though she was fighting, she was still unconscious.

Xero then realized Xindai was using her as a puppet to fight for him, "You sick b.astard..." She said as she then ran toward Kaxar, weapon ready to defend herself from a sudden attack.

 

Ruby grabbed Lysa's arm when the girl slammed into her. "Not today!" She said, attempting to not let Lysa get away.

Just then, Annabelle grabbed her sister and twisted her wrist so she would release Lysa.

"I could use some help here Kaya!" She yelled.

As Lysa tumbles through the air, thanks to Annabelle's intervention, she spots the object that Sapphire had hurled and then uses her powers to help guide the throwing weapon home, aiming straight at Ruby as she herself floats to the ground next to Sapphire and offers her free hand, "come on, we have to get out of here!" she says, trying to use a combination of her powers and her arm strength to lift Sapphire up.​

Xindai sighed shortly before Gexln tore open the dark corridor and ran through. "They never learn." It seemed to have slipped their minds that Xindai was able to read their minds, and therefore knew exactly what they were planning the second they planned it. Although what fun was simply repelling them? No, he'd let this little plan bare some fruit. Quickly turning to the corridor's location, he shot a telekinetic burst forth. It was just about a sure hit, as it was invisible and there was no indication of it being used. He purposely let Verox get through, while leaving Gexln back down to fight his Dear Kaxar. "Hm. Focusing on two battles at once. Hopefully you mongrels can at least put up a challenge with this kind of handicap." He said, bringing forth his glaive. ​

Gexln was kicked back through the dark corridor quickly. He swore as he rolled backwards out of it, the force far more than he had anticipated. He looked at Xero and Kaxar who were seemingly fighting now, and then back to Xindai. Had he really come this far only to be stopped by something as simple as a ledge? No, he had not. He had to get up to strike down Xindai, and he had to do it fast. But how? He focused an enormous amount of dark energy to his legs and leapt extremely high into the air. It would take a lot of energy out of him, but it was necessary to get back into the fight.

Verox saw Gexln get kicked through the dark corridor, and wondered for a brief moment why Xindai had attacked Gexln but not himself. Maybe some part of Xindai saw it as a game, almost as though it was a challenge. He was pleasantly surprised when Gexln leaped up to where they were fighting. He dashed at Xindai as Gexln began his descent onto the ledge, and enhancing his arms with fire he attempted to punch Xindai in the lower abdomen.

Caleb followed behind Louvel. Louvel seemed to be the one in charge, and although Caleb had a few ideas where might be best to look, he didn't want to turn these "new allies" against him already. A thought occurred to him as he walked behind them. "Also, someone you may want to watch out for is a man known as R. From what I've heard, he's very dangerous. Also the fact he was with Gexln could very well mean he wishes ill for Twilight Town" Caleb stated, attempting to alert the lights about R.

 

Once all the nobodies were taken care of, Kel just waited as Caleb shared information with them. "Yeah, know how much of a threat R is." Right now he seemed to be the biggest threat compared to the other darks.

Xindai was being caught between a pincer attack. His telekinetic powers were strong indeed, but even he wasn't able to stop two supercharged attacks from opposite sides while controlling another's actions. The sole reason he was able to escape serious physical injury was his knowledge of what was to happen beforehand via mind reading. He leaped into the air, using his telekinetic powers to propel himself backwards. The searing heat from the flames heading towards him grazed the bottom of his pants leg, but was quickly put out. Still, that was all the time it needed to leave a burn on his ankle. Nothing too serious, but it was an injury nonetheless. With a spin, he evaded crashing into Gexln and shot a telekinetic push at him, attempting shove him into the punch from Verox. Meanwhile, The manipulated Kaxar ducked backwards under the scythe swing and combined a rising kick with a back flip. ​

Beuce crawled out of the pile of unused characters that was on Jail's ship in crossover cove, hearing the mention of R. Before speaking, he looked back and raised an eyebrow at such a reference. He still remembered that back from the kingdom arc? Wow. Shrugging it off, he turned to Caleb. "You mean scarfs? I kicked his ass at Castle Oblivion before. By myself. With no help or conveniently placed Dark Firagas whatsoever. " Beuce stated, implying his victory over R was single handedly attained, while making it completely obvious this wasn't the case. ​

Caleb glanced at Beuce as he walked. "I have no idea who you are, but something about R fills the very air around him with dread, so you would be wise not to take him lightly" he said calmly. The anger Satsujin had in his eyes, the hatred he had shown, surely they would not be for a man that could be taken down as easily as the white haired boy claimed?

Gexln saw the attack coming towards him too late. The attack hit him full on, sending the Nobody crashing to the ground several feet away. He got up in mere moments, his body in quite a lot of pain from the blaze. He was about to accuse Verox of trying to kill him before realizing how stupid it would have sounded. If Verox had wanted to kill him, or even injure him, before that moment he had had ample opportunity to do so. He looked across at Darkness' Sorrow, laying over on the ground below. He wished he had taken the time to retrieve it, but it was too late now.

Verox was impressed. Not only had Xindai evaded the pincer attack, but he had done so in such a way that it had forced Verox to hit Gexln. Xindai was a formidable opponent indeed. The fire within him was slowing down, his energy running lower than he would have liked. It was now or never. Verox's entire body caught aflame, his body radiating a massive amount of heat. Using the flames he propelled himself high into the air and floated there for a brief moment held up by wings of pure flame. "Phoenix Impact!" he shouted out as he dove straight towards Xindai. The wingspan on the flames that went with him was wide enough that it would be extremely difficult to dodge, however for every second that he dashed towards Xindai the flames themselves burned his skin.

The dark creator stared at the dazzling blaze of crimson headed toward him. The "phoenix impact" as it was called. Its sheer area covered made it rather difficult to dodge, and Xindai doubted he could simply toss a telekinetic burst at him to stop it. Even if he could, what fun would that be? it wasn't ever day you fought an opponent like this. No, there was only one way out of this attack. And that was to not let it hit at all. He couldn't afford to worry about Kaxar, so he dropped her to focus his attention on the oncoming threat. "Now Verox, think about what you're doing. the repercussions of killing me." He said, his voice layered with charisma. He was using his power of persuasion. In truth, there were no negative repercussions to carrying through with such an attack, and he'd surely realize this. However, Xindai's plan was to make him stall and think about it just long enough for a counter to be carried out. In a split second's time, he brought his keyblade spinning from it's position near kaxar and positioned it. The point was aimed straight for Verox's heart, with the handle against Xindai's palm. He used all the force of his mind to propel it at his opponent with force comparable to a high-caliber bullet. If this failed, the attack would go through and seriously injure him.​

Spoiler: BGM

Verox saw the attack coming while he was dashing towards Xindai. He was traveling so fast,however, that he was unable to stop in time. Instead he tensed himself up and braced himself for the impact. No amount of preparation could have readied Verox for the sheer force of the keyblade. The weapon went straight through him, taking all hope of survival with it. His body was knocked back quite a distance from the force of the attack, and he laid down on his back. His energy depleting quickly, as was his life-force, Verox was fading fast.

As he was dying, the clouds themselves seemed to part as a hallucination of Beuce emerged from them. "You must go to the Dagobah system. There you will find the wielder who trained me. Ha ha, just kidding. I just like to go inside peoples' minds and quote star wars at them" the hallucination said. Verox coughed up a small amount of blood. "I think I'm a little too dead to do any traveling" he responded between breaths. "Use the Force! Just kidding, the force isn't real" the HaBeuceination said. With this, the last spark of life left Verox's body, and the fiery keyblade wielder passed away.

Gexln didn't know how to react when Verox fell. Part of him wanted to believe he was alive purely so Gexln himself could kill him, yet part of him to survive just for the sake of surviving. Either way, one thing was certain; Verox wasn't going to save Kaxar. Gexln reached into his pocket and took out the charm that Kaxar had made him. "I made a promise, and I intend to keep it" he said quietly to himself. His body began shaking with sheer fury at the thought of Xindai torturing Kaxar, and he began sprinting at Xindai with new-found strength. As he ran, a swirl of darkness surrounded the charm, before a keyblade manifested in his hands. He continued running towards Xindai, not taking his eyes off him for even a second. "Xindai, i'll kill you!" he yelled.

Xero saw Kaxar duck and she dodged the kick she sent toward her and suddenly her body dropped to the floor like a doll. She then looked over to Xindai and Verox and saw that Verox was about to attack Xindai with a very powerful attack. Xero then saw Xindai with a Keyblade and she went wide eyed, seeing what he was planning.

"Verox wait!" Xero tried shouting to him but he couldn't hear her. Then Xindai released the blade and it went right through Verox. Xero stared at the scene and it was almost as if it all played in slow motion in front of her. When Verox flew backwards and onto the ground, Xero ran towards him but by the time she reached him, he was already dead.

Xero just stood there looking at the lifeless corpse of Verox with an almost blank expression. She hardly knew Verox, but for some reason she still felt the slightest bit of sadness, but most of all, anger. She turned slowly toward Xindai and saw Gexln charging toward him already with a new weapon.

BGM

Xero slowly walked toward Xindai and Gexln while looking at the ground, weapon in hand. She gripped it tightly and began slowly picking up speed and finally broke out into a full on sprint, ready to attack with her weapon. Using the small amount of darkness she had left, she poured her power into the scythe and it suddenly changed shape. The scythe now had two blades on each end the blades were a bit bigger and longer as well. The possessed looking demon eye had disappeared and it looked like a completely different scythe.

Xero ran as fast as she could and she soon caught up with Gexln and ran next to him as they both readied their attacks.

Xindai simply stared at the duo for a bit. One had awakened his inner darkness to summon a keyblade. A replication of the almighty X-blade of his own creation. A weapon tied to the heart of it's wielder. And the other, her scythe took on another, far more menacing form. Her black hair flowed behind her as she gracefully charged at him. Only one thought went through his head. "Heh. It's a shame that we met under these circumstances in this time...You'd have made fine soldiers in the war. Perhaps even enough so to turn the tide..." He thought aloud before charging at them, feet off the floor and levitating to meet their assault head on. He scraped his glaive in a horizontal fashion in front of him, causing them to back up or be cut by it. Then he swung the keyblade at Gexln while throwing a kick at Xero. ​

Beuce, ignoring all the others there, turned around and looked up to the sky, a look of awe on his face. "Guys, my epic senses are tingling. something extremely awesome just happened somewhere. Dat battle music and death scene and weapon transformations....i can sense the epicness level of it. it's over nine thou-" Beuce was cut off by the sound of a gunshot and a bullet flying from out of nowhere, striking him straight in the forehead for making that reference. It was taboo. "I'm okay...somehow." Beuce said with blood running down the center of his forehead. ​

Xero was knocked back by the attack and then blocked the kick Xindai threw at her. After that she ran around him and then threw her fist into Xindai's face, completely shattering the mask on contact. Xero then jumped back as she saw his face.

Gexln leaped backwards slightly, avoiding the glaive, but the keyblade was another matter. Seeing the weapon swinging at him, he in turn swung Midnight Venture at Xindai in an attempt to parry the weapon. The keyblades clashed with a loud clang, and Gexln reacted quickly, disengaging and stepping back. Xindai's fighting capabilities were amazing, even when he wasn't using his telekinetic powers. If it had been any other situation, Gexln may have tried to convince Xindai to side with him, but not when Kaxar was still in danger. It was that moment that Xero shattered Xindai's mask. In one hit too, which was surprising. Just how strong was Xero?

He couldn't help but wonder though, how much darkness did Xero have left inside of her after his earlier attack? Gexln stabbed the end of his keyblade into the ground and then began focusing immensely. He began pouring a lot of his darkness into the keyblade, empowering it to the point that an aura of darkness could be seen radiating from it. While he did this, he had also been transferring some of the darkness he had taken from Xero earlier back to her, as well as some of his own. If you use this to try and attack me again, I promise i'll kill you he thought as the process completed. He took up his keyblade again, it felt heavier yet at the same time he found it easier to wield, perhaps it was because of the immense amount of his darkness inside of it. He leapt high up into the air, and attempted to perform an overhead slash on Xindai.

 

Spoiler: broken mask

As his mask was broken, the pieces fell around him. The face it revealed was surprising. It held a smile. He was enjoying this fight quite a bit. He stared at Xero with his multicolored eyes. She was gaining her darkness back, as was the nobody with the keyblade. "Now that you've gotten back the darkness. Don't go and squander it. My creation isn't a toy, it's a weapon. Now show me you you've got what it takes to wield it properly." He said to both of them. He grasped the glaive and keyblade in his hands. One of the advantages to his lockdown keyblade was it's long reach. Outstretching Gexln's by about an inch or so. Gexln seemed to be the most dangerous one right now. To keep Xero at bay, he used some of his darkness. the original darkness. to enhance his glaive. He threw it, scrapping across the ground and causing black sparks to fly in her direction. With his telekinetic powers keeping it spinning in place. It wouldn't be too hard to find a way around those, just that it'd take a moment. Long enough for him to concentrate. 3, 2, 1, now. Xindai cut at Gexln. The timing had to be perfect or else the counter would fail.​

Xero felt the dark power from Gexln begin to take effect. She already felt better and not as lethargic. She heard him speak as he transferred the darkness to her. Xero let out a small laugh, It wasn't my fault. He was taking over. I wasn't aware of what I was doing. She replied to Gexln's threat with a smile. Just don't give me a reason to kill you.

Suddenly Xindai threw his glaive at her, sparks flying toward her. She flinched at the burning sensation she felt as the sparks landed on her skin. She then quickly ran around it and toward Gexln. After he swung at Gexln, Xero shot a rather large orb of darkness toward Xindai.

"Your creation?" Gexln questioned. He twisted his body out of the way in an attempt to avoid Xindai's attack, but he wasn't quick enough. The attack hit him in the side in such a way it did not cut him open, but it did leave a large stinging sensation. At this rate, i'm going to end up the same as Verox, he thought to himself. "My darkness is my own" he said in a grim, serious voice. He lunged straight at Xindai with the keyblade, then with his right hand he fired several dark firagas towards the dark creator at point blank range.

 

As the two girls were overwhelming Annabelle, she though quick and pulled her dagger (DAH-GGURR) out of her belt and gave Kaya and ruby a quick slice on each of their legs, stopping them in their tracks. She quickly limped over to Sapphire and Lysa. "Come on!" She said, "we need to go now!"

Ruby growled and screamed bad stuffs at her sister and the other two girls. She clutched her legs in pain, unable to move them at all from the slices.
