The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Gexln was caught off guard by Xero's comment. "J-jealous? No way!" he exclaimed. He was in all honesty slightly jealous, but he had most certainly failed to conceal it. "Why would I be jealous of a weakling like that guy?" he asked, trying to change the subject. Verox snickered a little bit. "If i'm a weakling, what does that make you?" he reminded Gexln. Gexln glared at Verox. He said nothing, instead giving Verox the finger. Verox seemed unfazed by this reaction. "A fitting response from someone that dwells in darkness" he said. Gexln pointed at Kaxar. "Why are you so edgy Verox? Do you like Kaxar or something?" Gexln accused, trying to anger Verox. The accusation hit home, and the two warriors glared daggers at one another, both looking as though they would kill each other at a moment's notice.

 

Brant watched in awe at Satsujin and R's fighting. Not making a move. "Whoa." he said to himself watching R's dark-corridor-dark-firaga move. It was a incredible display of power, but then R just pushed Satsujin in a dark corridor. Brant summoned his keyblade ready for a fight. "So, fella how's this gonna' go down?" Brant said as he cautiously began to circle R.

R didn't even make a motion as another wielder came to challenge him. He began circling him. Still having his Dark Assassination markings and part of his black adamant armor, he doubted this wielder was strong enough to defeat him. "You bravado is admirable, but will be the death of you. You'd do well to choose your battles wisely." R warned. He had just defeated one of the most renowned assassins ever to live, yet he was challenged still. "You've other things to worry about besides me. A dark presence has just entered twilight town. I can feel it. Leave me be, and i will cause you no harm. But as for this new presence, it bears no allegiance to me. I can't guarantee it's actions." With that, R simply walked off, leaving Brant there to do as he would. Be it follow him, or seek out the presence.​

He didn't have to be a mind reader to tell that there was some bad blood between the two men. Maybe an old lover's new lover, perhaps. It mattered not to him. What did matter was that peering into the thoughts of the new arrivals, he came across the mention of someone named R. The dark female knew of him more in depthly than the male. However, even his mental powers were not limitless. To completely map ones mind took time. Time was something he didn't have at the moment, but that didn't mean it was something he couldn't get. He walked up closer to the group. if they hadn't noticed him before, they certainly did now. "Pardon the interruption. But i need something from the young ladies here, so if you wouldn't mind, i'll be taking them." He aimed for the girls because he believed them to be weaker. He send a telekinetic push toward the men. He'd rather not harm the women if it could be avoided, so instead he spoke to them, and would only force them if it failed. "Now then, come along won't you? I have a bit of information i need from you." He said, holding out his hand. His words went beyond that of a golden tongue. One couldn't help but believe that it was a good idea to go along with whatever he said. His power over the mind working it's way into the crevices of their subconscious and spreading it's corrupting poison throughout it. ​

Beuce wanted to just timeskip to twilight town, but Rienzel wouldn't allow it, and said he needed to wait for the other lights to post. "Aw c'mon can't we just-" "No." Said Rienzel, from beyond the fourth wall. "But all i-" Beuce's words were interrupted as his creator parted the clouds of the fourth wall at his location and spoke directly to him. ​

"For the last time, no! We need to wait for the others before getting there. Besides, there's plot you aren't part of." Beuce sat there for a moment. "Oh fine...." He sat on his glider, arms crossed and pouting as his creator vanished back behind the fourth wall. Well, this was gonna take a while. ​

Kaxar had initially not wanted to go with Xindai, but strangely the more she thought of it the more appealing the idea seemed. Xindai didn't look too threatening..did he? Surely she could trust him. The more she thought about it, the more it made sense to her. And then she saw the rubix cubes. The edges of the rubiks cubes had this odd charm to them, as though they were calling out to her. She slowly took a step towards Xindai. "What do you need?" she questioned. She took another step towards him, deciding to help him.

Neither Gexln or Verox believed Kaxar would be stupid enough to go with someone she met literally three seconds earlier. How shocked they were when she agreed to help. They were that shocked both of them were knocked onto the ground, their resistance to the telekinetic pressure overwhelming them momentarily. They both laid on the ground for a brief moment, both thinking the same thing: How could a skinny guy with white hair and rubiks cubes have managed to convince Kaxar to help him so easily?

Xero eyed the masked man suspiciously, 'why would someone randomly come up and ask for a total stranger's help? And what information did he need?' Xero thought to herself. Then something accrued to her, 'Wait... Could he be some sort of rapist hobo?! My body is too sexy to be touched by some dirty rapist hobo!' She looked at the man with a rather disgusted look. Suddenly she saw the girl take a step forward and accept him right away. Xero just stared at her in shock, 'Is she really THAT BLONDE?!' Xero then looked at the man again with a glare, "Alright weirdo... I'm not goin anywhere with some hobo I just met. Just tell us what kind of information you want and be on your way."

"Why Kaya dear, who is your new friend?" Ruby asked, approaching her ally and the new girl. She looked at Lysa and smiled with a comforting warmth (if you could call it that). "Why, you shouldn't be afraid. We're here to help, after all." She put a comforting (if you could call it that) hand on her shoulder, "We can make it all better." Ruby gave her a smile.

Garnet frowned. "I can't leave Annabelle. She still seems unstable. I'm sorry your Majesty, but I truly think she needs to come with me."

Annabelle looked at her sister and the King. "No, sorry Gar. I have to look after Sapphire for now. She needs help more than I do. I'm not a little kid anymore, I don't need you with me all the time, okay?" She walked up and have her sister a hug.

Garnet smiled. "Okay. I understand. Just stay safe, okay?"

Luna followed all of them. "Everyone take care! We'll be back soon, okay?" Then she walked out with the others, ready to take on the world.

Xindai was appalled by her thoughts. How dare she accuse him of such a lowly act as being a hobo? He didn't didn't even have a beard or checkered bag on a stick. Hadn't she ever seen a hobo before? That's what they all look like. To prove his point he waved his hand, yanking up a hobo from the street below. He fit the stereotypical description of a hobo. Dirty, grease stained clothing with a beanie, whiskey bottle in hand, and a tied checkered red and white sack on a stick. "You see this man? THIS is a hobo. I'm no hobo, Rapist perhaps, but hobo i am not." Xindai said, flinging the hobo halfway across twilight town. He wasn't so much intentionally using his power of coercion, as forgot to switch it off, so it made his words all the more convincing. ​

Xero scoffed at the man after he threw the random hobo he picked up. But for some reason she felt that she should go with him. She had no idea why she felt she should. She turned her head to look over at Gexln, "After I talk to this hobo I'll need to talk to you.". She then took a step forward next to Kaxar and crossed her arms, "Fine then.. what is it creep?"

Lysa shrugs Ruby's hand off and narrows her eyes, her right hand resting on the crecent-shaped pommel of her Swiss Degen, once more trying to step past Ruby and Kaya, unable to surpress a shudder at Ruby's attempts at 'comfort', "I really should get going, I need to catch up to Louvel and the others, I kinda got a debt to repay." Lysa's face and body language seem to be passive, though her muscles seem to be taunt, as if she were ready to spring into action at any moment.​

 

Brant put his Keyblade away, and walked towards R. He was not looking for a fight, as much as Brant wanted to he knew if he couldn't defeat some grunt of R's then couldn't even get a hit in on R. "Hey Jefe, I'd like some answers." Brant said to R, hoping for some answers. "Where am I? Who are you, your people, and these people? And what is this dark presence you were talking about?" Brant asked. He wasn't sure if this guy's answers would even be the truth, but he had to try. "Please, I touched some glowing cube and suddenly I'm in some town I've never seen. I touched it again and then I'm here. All I want is to know what's going on." Brant said with sincerity in his voice.

Lysa blinks turning back toward Kaya, trying to find words to respond to the crying girl in front of her. That is, until she reflects on what Kaya is saying, her eyes widening, "did you say 'Sapphire?'" she asks, her hand slipping down and gripping the hilt of her blade, "Sapphire is your sister?" she says again, "then that means... you're Kaya, aren't you? You betrayed your brother... abducted your sister!"​

 

The dark creator was pleased with the result his manipulation had gotten him. You couldn't see it, but he was grinning. "Well then, shall we get going ladies?" He pulled them closer to have them affected by the transportation magic of his Star Crystal. He briefly pondered where to send them, and decided to see if his old base had survived. His base, on a world named Inwonahe. (in-whoa-na-hey). The sky blue cube worked it's magic, and dissipated them into nothingness, and the next instant, they were at his desired location.


"Quite the inquirer. Very well, i have no reason not to answer your questions." R said to him. "As for where you are, a town named twilight town. Specifically in the abandoned mansion. My name is R, and those were my subordinates, Xero and Gexln. They're what one would call nobodies, beings without hearts." R stopped at the question regarding the dark presence. He didn't know what it was, but he knew it was strong. Ancient and powerful, this was definitely a force to be reckoned with. "I know not the answer to what the dark presence is. All i can tell is it vanished at the same time as Xero, the female of the pair. I'd venture to guess that she has been abducted." R didn't usually reference it, but he was always using his darkness to detect the darkness in other hearts, something like a sonar. He paused at the mention of a blue cube. ""Show me this cube"


Beuce was overjoyed to be able to post landing in twilight town. He lowered his glider in the sandlot as they were surrounded. "Alrighty then. Let's get this part started!" Beuce turned his keyblade glider back into Guardian Soul. He looked around at the heartless. "Hmm...Comic relief or badassery...The choices..." He opted for badassery. Scraping his keyblade across the ground, he did something resembling a strike raid, only instead of flying through the air, it scraped across the ground and created sparks. "Hot wheel!" He yelled as it caught fire and struck through several enemies all at once. it returned to his hand and he finished with a comic relief. "Beat that!"​

Xero was caught off guard when Xindai suddenly pulled her closer. Then she was suddenly in another area and she pushed back Xindai as an attempt to get away from him, "Wha--?! What the hell?! Where are we?!" She frantically looked around. She was very confused, "What the hell did you do?!" Xero shouted at Xindai almost ready to pull out her weapon and attack. She glared at the masked man and growled under her breath, her anger began to build and she was about to flip, "When R finds out that I'm gone he's going to come looking for me... and hopefully kick your ass when he finds me!"

Kaxar took a few steps away from Xindai. She'd wanted to help Xindai, but being taken to a place she wasn't familiar with wasn't something she'd wanted to do. She looked around, panicking slightly. "Where are we?" she asked. She still wanted to help Xindai, mind manipulation working its magic, but that desire to help was getting smaller and smaller with each passing second.

Right before their eyes, Kaxar had been abducted, along with Xero. Gexln and Verox stood still for a second, unable to believe that they hadn't been able to prevent it from happening. Gexln turned and pointed a finger accusingly at Verox. "This is YOUR fault!" Gexln accused. Verox waved his hand as though he were swatting the accusation out of the way. "Oh grow up, we both know that they went with him for some reason. The important thing right now is finding out where they were taken" Verox stated. Gexln stood still for a moment, which Verox noticed. "Do you have a problem with that?" he questioned. Gexln shook his head. "No, i'm just surprised. I believe this is the first time i've actually agreed with you on something" Gexln said.

Caleb opened his eyes slowly. His entire body ached. What had happened? Why was he on the ground? He remembered quickly. "The town!" he yelled, sitting up with a start. This caused a searing pain to go through his entire back. He muttered a few words and cast a cure spell, dispelling most of his pain. He then stood up slowly. "I wonder what happened to Satsujin" he wondered. He looked towards the direction of the old mansion, only to see holes in the wall, and R standing near them. He assumed the worst; Satsujin was dead. He ran at R and was about to summon a blade when he lost his footing, falling face-first on the ground. While his injuries were healed, his body was still fatigued. He got up quickly and glared at R. "What did you do to Satsujin?" he questioned.

 

"Twilight Town." Brant said to himself, still processing the things that's happening. R then asked to see the cube, Brant wasn't sure if he should or not, but considering the @$$ kicking the other guy got, he'd thought he better oblige. "This thing?" Brant said as pulled the cube out of his coat pocket. "What is it? Is it some kind of teleporter or something?" Brant asked as he tossed it up and down. But before R could answer Caleb interrupted them. Caleb drew his sword and was ready to attack R. He was demanding to know where Satsujin was. 'Was that the dude R fought?' Brant thought to himself.
Brant wasn't sure what was going to happen, but he knew Caleb couldn't handle another fight, especially against R. "Wait, guys let's try and talk this out before another fight spills out. We don't need to solve everything with fighting." Brant said as he moved to the middle of the two.

R took hold of the object and examined it closely. "Where in the world did you come by this?" He asked, genuinely curious as to it's origin. "These are exceedingly rare objects called star crystals. They can take you to any location you desire with just a thought. They're even keener means of transportation than dark corridors." It was then that Caleb burst through the hole in the wall, apparently itching to fight him. "Must you all needlessly attempt to throw your lives away at me..." R said, somberly. He always seemed rather gloomy. "I will tell you this, Satsujin lives. But should he challenge me again, i won't be so forgiving." R's tone was ever-unchanging. He showed no intention of fighting the wounded man. Although it wouldn't be much of a fight, more of a murder. ​

"This is my home world, Inwonahé. I've brought you here for a bit of questioning. Although you wont have to do much, just sit back and relax!" There was emphasis on the last word as he pushed them back into chairs, outfitted with restraints with his telekinesis. There were ancient blood stains adorning the chairs and the stone around them. One didn't even want to imagine the vile acts they were used for in the past. Or worse yet, the acts they would be used for in the future. ​

Verox decided to take charge. He turned to Gexln and motioned for him to follow him. "We'd better get going. Kaxar needs us, as does that other girl that was following you" he said. Gexln had stopped listening. Kaxar...needs us.. he thought to himself, reminded of something. He reached into a pocket and fumbled around for a moment, before he slowly pulled out a small piece of fabric. It was in the shape of the heartless insignia. "What's that?" Verox asked. Gexln remained silent for a moment. "A promise" he responded finally.

Spoiler: A promise between friends

It was when they were only twelve years old, he remembered. Kara walked over to Glen, over sitting on a small rock overlooking the horizon. He was always there wasn't he? It seemed to be his favourite place. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly. As much as he tried to hide it, Glen's cheeks were wet; probably from tears after the people in their town had called him a monster again. Glen didn't respond. "I-i made you something" Kara said, reaching into the pockets of her jeans and pulling out a small piece of fabric in the shape of the heartless insignia. "What is it?" Glen asked, finally speaking.Kara gave him a smile. "A present! I saw you with those dark creatures earlier. They had this symbol on them, so I made it for you" Kara explained. Glen reached out and took it. He realized she was talking about the heartless that had been drawn to his experiments with the darkness. Kara had always been accepting of his obsession with darkness, he wasn't sure why. "What's it for?" Glen asked. "To remind you that even in the darkest times, the person that made this will always be there for when you need her" Kara responded.

Kara saw another tear in Glen's eye, but it wasn't one of sorrow, it was one of happiness. He looked first at the gift, then back at Kara. For the first time in a while, he gave a weak smile. "Thank you Kara, i'll always be there when you need me too. I promise" he vowed. He looked back at the horizon; the sun was setting. He dried his face with the sleeve of his shirt and stood up, offering Kara a hand to help her up. Once she was on her feet, Glen gave another smile. "It's getting late, we should probably go back to town" he suggested. The two of them began their slow walk to the town, the promise between them both meaning more to each other than either of them realized.

"Why can't I move?" Kaxar asked, panic a little more obvious in her tone than she would've liked. She strained to try and stand up, but to no avail. "Get them off please!" she shouted, fear beginning to overtake her at an alarming rate. She hoped Gexln or Verox would follow her and help her. She had wanted to help Xindai, but the longer she sat there unable to move the further away she wanted to get from the dark creator.

Caleb was torn between two decisions. After the events that had transpired, he believed R would be a threat to the town after all, and he may not get another chance to try and capture R, yet at the same time Gexln had threatened to destroy the town and then gone to go do it. The choice was obvious. He looked at R. "If you harm Satsujin, or anybody in the town, I will personally come and stop you. I may be weak now, but I'll still take you down. That isn't a threat, it's a promise" Caleb stated seriously. He turned and began running back to the main town in the hopes he would be able to stop Gexln. "Somehow i'll defeat him!" he exclaimed as he ran.

Xero landed in a chair after she was pushed back and realized she couldn't move. Now she had had it; her teeth grinding against each other, her fists clenched together. She glared at the man and began to shout, "LET ME OUT YOU PIECE OF--!!!" She suddenly noticed the blood stains on the chair and she just starred at them wide eyed. Flashbacks of others popped up in her head as she touched the blood and saw horrible things... She felt agonizing pain and she just wanted to die rather than endure the torturous events. Once the images ceased she fell limp in the chair, her upper body hanging forward. Her breathing became shutters of fear and she starred blankly at the ground as her hair covered her fear filled face. Her body trembled rather violently, thinking of the awful visions she just saw. Xero swallowed hard and her voice cracked as she spoke, "Just...what kind of monster are you...?"

 

Ruby looked at the young girl. "She did NOT. They abducted our sisters and made it seem like WE were the bad ones." It was a lie, but as long as she believed her and they got a new ally, what was the REAL harm?

Annabelle sighed and explained everything. What Ruby and Garnet did, the fight, all of it.

"...And I let them unlock my potential on purpose just so I could get my Keyblade. Turns out," she flicked her wrist and summoned her Keyblade, "it worked out in my favor. What do you think?"

"This is bad... Very bad." Garnet said. "I wish Annabelle had come along though... She could use the practice."

"Right. I do wish that too... At least we know she's safe, right?" Luna said cheerily.
