The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Kaxar did her best to stop blushing. "I know they were just trying to be nice, i'm just..not used to attention like that, as a joke or not" she explained. She gave a weak smile back. She then looked at Beuce. "Are they always like that though?" she questioned, not knowing if Azurite knew Beuce or Verox at all.

​

Verox hadn't stopped staring. His comment about her being a goddess had been a way of both being friendly and also trying to have a little bit of fun, but the more he stared at Kaxar the more he found her to be genuinely attractive. He realized he was staring too much and stopped, pretending to suddenly find something very interesting on the roof of the tower.

 

Torvux looked at the two warriors and tsked at them impatiently. "Your courage is admirable, if not intimidating, but completely unnecessary. I am not going to get my hands dirty at your expense. I go about as I please. If you try and stop me, you will be detained. I am bound by going according to the laws of time, whether it changes or is set in stone, but I am nothing more than a harvester, not an enemy, doing what life asks me to reap." Torvux turned, letting out a final sentence, "This is your last warning." Torvux then threw his hand to the ground, disappearing in a gust of smoke, leaving nothing but a black-and-white feather, with a small bloodstain on it. He reappeared on a nearby tower, undetected by the two warriors.

Rexitus stood and stood back along Lexeain. Rexitus worm-holed again coming up behind Seifer. "Aerial Slam!" Rexitus called as he slammed an underhand stroke right into Seifer's back. He worm-holed once again, repeating the action, and then teleported even higher, slamming Seifer to the ground.
Lexeain attacked Rai and Fuu, doing one hit at Rai, then another hit to Fuu. This repeated for 3 intervals.

Caleb lowered his Katanas. He closed his eyes for a brief second, and both blades disappeared. "He's gone, and I have no idea where he went. I should help protect the town, but I can't help but feel that having this R person around that keeps being mentioned is a bad idea. If he's a threat, I must see that he is stopped, which brings me to my next objective" Caleb said, his voice trailing off slightly. He turned to look at Satsujin. "I don't know much about you, but you helped me when I needed it. Will you allow me to repay that by helping you deal with R?" he questioned.

"That's all? And here i was thinking this was going to be a challenge. I guess this generation's keyblade wielders aren't up to snuff." Xindai said as the lingering will kneeled before him. It was time to finish it. He tossed his glaive in an upward arc motion, striking the lingering will's chin and knocking it into the air. Before it began it's descent, Xindai caught it and held it up, suspended in mid air. Without mercy, he clasped his hand, tightening the grip, bending the metal, and crunching the body of the lingering will. Tighter and tighter until the once defender of they keyblade graveyard was nothing but a ball of steel, the mind within it snuffed out of existance. With a flick of his wrist, the metal was tossed aside.

"Seeking strength to escape defeat...Heh. That's not all that different from myself to be honest." R said, somewhat amused at the resemblance in their goals. As he continued piecing together the cornerstone, he could tell it was going to be a long and slow process. There were thousands of pieces, each had to be in a specific place. Like an enormous puzzle. ​

"Oh yeah...So i do..." Beuce said in response to Louvel reminding him of Kaya's existence. Noticing that Louvel seemed rather upset, he attempted to get him back to normal. "i dunno who pissed your cheerios, but spoon it out and finish your breakfast." Needless to say, it didn't exactly go over as he'd planned. He then immediately forgot about Kaya...again...and began casually flirting with Kaxar once more.

Satsujin nodded. While he had a personal grudge against R, he was aware of his power, and even he would need help against someone of that calibur. And there was always the chance it wouldn't just be R. "Thank you. But i must warn you, R is a deadly opponent. If you assist me with this, i can't gurentee your safety." The assassin warned.

 

​

Caleb thought for a moment. "If he is indeed as dangerous as you claim, then you need not worry. I am more than capable of defending myself" he explained. As if to prove his point, he re-summoned his katana right before Satsujin. "Lets stop R and save this town" he said in a somewhat heroic fashion. He would do his best to save the town, whether or not he had to take down R in the process. The needs of the many far outweighed the needs of R in his eyes.

Gexln looked at R. "What is it you're trying to escape from?" he asked. He saw himself as somewhat strong, and if R could defeat him then the thought of something that had R running was something that Gexln most certainly did not want to encounter.

​

Verox could see that Kaxar was becoming very uncomfortable due to the attention she was receiving, and decided he would try to distract Beuce for her sake. He walked over to him casually. "So, I was thinking. You know how the worlds were destroyed a few years back? What do you think caused it?" he asked.

OOC: For those who can't tell, the spoiler is not canon, and sorry for the short post I ruined my train of thought with the abridged post.

Xero walked up to the gate of an old abandoned mansion. She looked at the lock and examined it for a minute, "Hmm... I need some sort of key to open it... Well, that won't be much of a problem!" She said to herself. She held out her hand and it was engulfed with darkness and then it expanded into a long staff, then a blade appeared at the end of it with a demonic eye at the top of it. She eyed the lock on the gate and threw the blade of the scythe onto it and the lock instantly broke and fell to the ground with a loud thud.

Xero looked up at the mansion and walked towards the large doors. She softly pushed open the door and walked in. She quickly walked up the stairs and to the right and opened another door. In the next room was a large hole in the floor with stairs that looked like it lead to another room. She just stood there for a moment thinking weather or not if she should go down to the next room.

"The Prize" R said simply. He went no further on the subject, simply continuing his work on the cornerstone. It was a very tedious process, but if R minded, one couldn't tell. His simply kept up his poker face and monotone voice. This Gexln character seemed...almost spoiled or childish in R's eyes. A sore loser. Because someone had bested them, they made it their goal to bring about their downfall. A flurry of thoughts ran through his head as he concentrated on repairing the stone.​

"One sec." Beuce responded to Verox's question as to what destroyed it. Pulling out his Iphone, he went to google and typed "What destroys the world?". His result was "global warming" "Cows man. I knew they were bad for the environment. Looks like it was BS after all! Badum psh" Beuce said, adding his own rimshot onto the joke.​

​

Satsujin nodded as if to say thank you. Passing through the hole in the wall, he entered the forest. There seemed to be a battle happening there, but he ignored it and proceeded toward his goal. A thought occurred to him. The stranger had told them where R was, what if it was a trap, and killing R would be somehow a negative effect? It didn't matter to Satsujin though. His mind ablaze with thoughts of bloody vengeance, logic was lost on him. His blade longed for the taste of R's flesh. He longed to quench it's thirst. As long as he accomplished that, nothing else mattered.



The creator of darkness poured over his thoughts, recollecting past events to try and determine future ones. He recalled passing by a small town in his travels across the world. It was rather unassuming, but he'd always felt there was a great destiny surrounding it. It was as good an idea as any to see if that destiny had come to fruition yet. Plus, he may be able to collect some information there. So he pulled out a bright blue cube, a star crystal. It was an exceedingly rare object, allowing instant travel across the worlds. It was the highest grade of the star materials. So, becoming nothing more than a flash, he was whisked off to the world of eternal duality between light and dark. The town of twilight. ​

Caleb was running through the forest. He looked to the side momentarily as he ran through, noticing Seifer and the gang were in a fight. While he wanted to help them, his debt to Satsujin was something he had to repay first. He continued running. After running several meters, he saw a figure in the distance. A girl was walking into the mansion. "That's odd, almost nobody ever goes to that mansion, why is she going in there?" he asked out loud. Picking up the pace, he ran after the girl into the mansion and stopped inside for Foyer, unsure where the girl had gone.

Verox rolled his eyes. This Beuce character was certainly different, if a little strange. "Was the sound effect really necessary? The joke was mildly tolerable until you did that, now it's just...you killed it" he said, shaking his head. He then laughed a little bit. "Although, that strange device you have there is more than a little unusual. How is a tiny little box supposed to tell you how worlds ended?" he questioned.

 

"Uggghhh......" Brant growled as he began to get up off the street of Traverse Town. He stood up with all his bones and joints popping and cracking. He looked around he was obviously unsure of where he was. "Where am I. Wha-what's going on?" He said while he rubbed his forehead.
Brant walked around for a little bit, to try to see if he recognized anything. "Man, what mess did I get in this time?" he asked himself. He stopped after a bit realizing he had no idea where he was. He sat down on some steps, going over what's going on through his mind.

Xero convinced herself that she should go and see what was down in the odd looking room. She cautiously walked down the stairs and looked around. She saw another door back towards where the base of the stairs behind her. She slowly opened the door and saw two other people in it talking about something. She decided tojust stand there and see if she could hear what they were talking about. She recognized one of the men in the room as well.

 

Kel chose to remain silent as everyone talked. Not that he had much to say anyway.

Zwei looked around confused for a moment. Though he figured that he might as well say something. "I guess I should introduce myself. You can call me Zwei."

Lurking in Twilight Town, Ace was headed towards the abandon mansion. In truth he had no reason to be there, but there was nothing stopping him from exploring. Once inside, he found that the interior was well suited with the exterior. Dusty, forgotten, and slightly broken. Most of those words described the interior perfectly.

Lysa cracked her fingers as she stared up at the castle through her Ship's cockpit canopy. A single pull of the release lever was all it took to pop the canopy up and back, letting in the fresh air from the outside. She stood up, quickly snapping her Sword's sheath onto her waist and then slinging a quiver of arrows over her back. A gravity-assisted jump took her and her longbow out of the cockpit and onto the fighter-like Gummi ship's nose, the cockpit's canopy sealing behind her.​

​

She stared up at the castle, then, drawing her power around herself, took a massive leap, carrying herself up to the gates of the castle in a single, moon-like bound.​

Beuce looked at his iphone, and was taken aback. Someone had reacted to his breaking the fourth wall. That had never happened, and he honestly didn't know how to respond. "Uh....internet?" He said, for lack of a better answer. He briefly pondered being more careful about breaking the fourth wall in the future, but that resulted in a short mental "nah". "Wait wait wait hold a sec here. I briefly pondered? I was taken aback? Rienzel. The hell. The actual hell. You all the sudden decide to start using this fancy-ass writing style, and it's for me? Maybe for petals or scarfy ('pparently that didn't teach him...) down there, but me?! That's not how i talk god dammit! Now get back to your normal writing style or imma have to shank a hooker." Beuce ended, finishing his rant at me. ​

​

​

Satsujin ran into the mansion, R was nowhere to be seen. "R! Come out! Fight me or i'll rip down the entire building with you in it!" The assassin yelled, attempting to draw the heartless closer to him. He meant what he said about tearing down the building. The rage hadn't quelled in the slightest. Just the thought of what R had done to him, his family, flooded his heart with rage. Forgiveness was beyond his mind, and only thoughts of R's death inhabited his heart. He waited, honing his senses, ready to move on a moment's notice. ​

​

​

R's concentration was broken by a threat being yelled from upstairs. From the voice, he was vaguely reminded of a past event in his life. It seemed it would come back to haunt him after all. He had many sworn to take his life. He had done atrocious things, but to achieve the goal that rested in his heart, he believed the ends justified the means. He stood, going to face the challenger who called for him. As he walked past Xero, he noted to her. "Eavesdropping isn't polite." and continued on. ​

Verox jumped back in shock, bumping into the wall. He was very surprised at Beuce talking to Rienzel, and believed that Beuce could now be called mentally insane. Right on time, he heard the sound of a train in the background. He turned and ran over to the window, looking out of it. This was his opportunity to get as much distance between him and the insane fool as he possibly could. "I wonder where that train goes. I'm going to follow it. No idea where it goes, so someone's going to have to come with me" he said. He looked at Kaxar. "Lovely Kaxar, care to give a gentleman a hand?" He asked, walking out of the room and beginning his descent down the stairs.

Kaxar was shocked by Verox asking for her specifically. Part of her wanted to stay, Verox and Beuce creeping her out a little earlier, but part of her wanted to go because not only was Beuce one of the people that had creeped her out, but he was now talking to someone that she could not see; a clear sign of madness. She hurried after Verox without a word, partially curious where the train went herself.

Caleb had not expected Satsujin to make such a threat. Tearing down the building? Had he made the right decision to help Satsujin? He shook off the thought almost immediately. He hadn't gone to the mansion just to help Satsujin, he also had to find out if R was a threat and take him out if needed. His hand gripped his katana tighter. He felt he would need it soon enough.

Gexln's attention was grabbed by the threat. "He's either very confident or extremely stupid" he said, thinking aloud. He decided to follow R, Darkness' Sorrow at the ready in case he needed to use it. As he got out of the computer room and to the top of the stairs in the foyer, he took notice of the people in it. Two of the people seemed as though they were ready to fight, and the third not so much. Either way, none of them looked overwhelmingly strong in his eyes. "Extremely stupid it is" he muttered.

Xero heard shouting from outside the room and was rather confused. As far as she knew, she was the only one that had entered the mansion a few moments ago. She suddenly saw R walking towards the door and she quickly pressed herself against the wall next to the door hoping that he would just walk by and not notice her. But her attempt failed and as he walked off she scoffed at him and followed, "Well excuse me for wondering what was going on. I wasn't even expecting you to be here of all places." Xero said as she followed him outside of the room. She eyed two men in the foyer and one looked as if he was filled with rage and hatred. She smiled and looked towards R, "I guess we won't be getting out of here without a fight" she quietly said to him.

 

Brant began going through his pockets to see if there was any clue of how he got here. He found a small bright blue cube in his pocket. "Oh, I remember now. I found this thing then everything went blurry." He said to himself.
Brant began to continue to walk around the town, tossing the cube up and down. "Hmm maybe I could pawn this off and maybe get some help off this rock. But where to go? I guess I should go home, but this is a chance for a adventure. I could go anywhere. Where to go first?" He said to himself. "Maybe Twilight Town, Grandma always told some story's of that place." He continued, thinking about the story's she told of some old mansion. But as the cube fell down to his hand it began to glow and he just disappeared.
Almost instantly he arrived outside of the mansion in Twilight Town. Brant tossed the cube on the ground unsure what just happened. He heard yelling coming from inside the mansion, and went in to investigate.

Satsujin glared at Gexln as he walked out into the hallway. It appeared his suspicion about R's underlings guarding him had been correct. He was honestly glad Caleb had agreed to help him. He wasn't sure if he could handle even R without help, but he would have to. Recalling what he'd done filled Satsujin with rage few have ever imagined. It was only pushed further when he saw him. The heartless himself passing through the doorway into the main foyer​

​

​

R gazed down upon Satsujin from the upper level of the mansion. His suspicion as to his identity had been correct. The young boy who's life he'd spared came seeking vengeance. A vendetta against he who had wronged him beyond measure. "May i presume, the survivor of the Akechi clan?" ​

​

"Don't you dare speak that name!" Satsujin growled at R. He took it from him, he took everything from him. "You, who slaughtered every last one of them. You killed them all, and left me alone to wallow in their downfall. The once great clan of Assassin's reduced to a mere child, only 6 years of age!" Rage clung tight to the assassin's words. They were overflowing with scorn and hatred. The light of forgivness was long lost to him. Only a dark flame drove him forward. ​

​

"It needed to be done. They had overstepped their bounds, using their reputation to terrorize and dictate not only their own world, but countless others around it. You were a child, who knew nothing of the corruption within the clan. You were innocent, and didn't deserve to die." R said, void of emotion. 20 years ago, he had slain the great Akechi Clan of assassins. ​

~20 Years Earlier~​

​

Blood. That was all that could be seen. The interior walls were still visible, but you weren't able to take your eyes off the crimson long enough to notice. The halls of the Akechi manor were lined with the corpses of it's residents. Standing in the main hall was R, staring down the leader of their clan. "You dare strike against our clan?! I'll have your head for what you've done!" Screamed Oda Akechi, clutching the body of his wife. He stood and raised Narukami, charging at R in a fit of blind rage. "You should have seen this coming." R said, shortly before piercing the leader's heart with a dark blade he held. Leaning in close, he whispered into his ear. "For nothing...is never ending." With that, the last survivor fell dead on the ground, or so R thought. ​

​

As he was leaving, he heard a faint whimper. A child, crying in hiding. He walked over and slid the door open to find a young boy, staring at him in shock and fear, tears flooding his eyes, likely having witnessed the death of his parents. R looked down on him, his ever blank expression more intimidating than any emotion. The young boy braced himself, accepting his death, but experienced nothing of the sort. The only thing that happened was the sound of a dark corridor opening, and the heartless walking through it, leaving him be. ​

~Present time~​

Now that boy had come seeking revenge. He had become far stronger than any of the other clansmen, and apparently mastered his father's weapon. The lightning blade Narukami. ​

​

"It's true you may not have killed me that day, but you took my life nonetheless. Since then i've had nothing to live for, nothing but to take your life." Satsujin said, glaring at R, with a fire burning in his eyes. ​

Caleb was shocked. He hadn't expected this R to sound so calm. The way Satsujin had spoken of him had made him seem like an evil man. Then again, just because he spoke like anyone else didn't make him any less dark. He had only Satsujin's words to go on that R was a threat to the town. Torvux had wanted to kill R too though, hadn't he? Caleb's instinct was that R had to be stopped, and his instinct was rarely wrong. He chose to believe Satsujin. And if what Satsujin said were true, then R had slaughtered not just one, but an entire clan of innocent people. That thought alone sent a shiver down his spine.

He would help Satsujin if it was needed, but the other man that stood with R caught his attention. The man showed no effort to disguise the look of hatred, of murder in his eyes. Caleb had no doubt in his mind that that man had killed many innocent people, and that he would stop at nothing from trying to add them to his list.

Gexln noticed that Caleb was looking at him, with a look of disgust in his eyes. His gaze travelled down until they came to rest on Caleb's katana. While it didn't look that threatening itself, the way that Caleb clenched to it and had it angled suggested he was fully prepared to use it if necessary. If Gexln were to gain R's trust, R would be need to be kept alive, and while Gexln had no doubt that R could handle himself, if the boy with the katana were to intefere it could become problematic. He leaned against the railing of the upper floor and pointed Darkness' Sorrow at Caleb. "You there, what's your name?" he questioned.

Caleb was not expecting to be asked his name. Here he was, standing a few feet in front of a man that looked like a murderer, in a situation that was getting more and more tense by the second, and he asked for his name? Just what kind of man was this he was facing? "My name is Caleb Stitem, and I am the one that will defeat you" he said, determination setting in his eyes.

Gexln laughed. It was not a laugh as though he was laughing at a joke, he was laughing at Caleb directly. "Good, I needed to know the name to put on your tombstone" Gexln said. He took a step backwards. "And now..here's where we get you away from R" he stated quietly to himself. He raced forward and gripped the railings. With immense strength he used the railings to fling himself over the railings and towards Caleb.

Caleb's eyes widened. He hadn't expected such a forward attack. He tensed his legs and braced himself for an impact, but he was a second too late. Gexln hit him hard, tackling him and sending the two swordsmen tumbling out onto the lawn in front of the old mansion. He quickly recovered from the daze and scrambled to his feet, looking around for his Katana. He heard the sound of a slight tap on the ground a few meters away. Tap, tap, it went. He looked up and saw Gexln already on his feet, and he had Caleb's katana. How did he recover so fast?! he wondered. Just who was this man?

A cocky grin appeared on Gexln's face, Caleb's reaction being just the one that he had been hoping for. "Well, you sure seemed pretty sure of yourself in there. Although, how will you do without this?" Gexln questioned, tossing the blade so hard that it landed on top of the old mansion's roof with a loud clatter. It was Caleb's turn for the cocky grin now. He held out his right hand and in a small sphere of light another katana was summoned. Gexln stepped back, the katana being a shock to him. "What?" he exclaimed. He quickly regained his composure. With a flick of the wrist, he was suddenly pointing Darkness' Sorrow at Caleb. "Somewhat impressive, but i'm afraid it's not going to help you. Let me show you what darkness can do" Gexln said as he sprinted at Caleb, blade in hand.

Satsujin lunged at R at the same time Gexln launched at Caleb, beginning both fights. White hot electricity cracked up and down his blade as he threw a horizontal slash, avoided by a back flip. R may not have seemed like the physical type, but he was actually incredibly agile and strong. Satsujin continued to the assault on R by thrusting the katana forward which was countered by a simple dark sword in R's hand by pushing it to the side and having it pierce the wall rather than him. ​

​

It was now R's turn to strike. With his own weapon, he performed a diagonal downward slash, which was blocked in the blink of an eye by his enemy, making a clanging sound as the two connected. Their swords locked above their heads, R used his free hand to elbow Satsujin in the stomach, knocking him through the rails, along with the wind from his lungs. ​

​

The assassin winced at the pain from the blow and struggled for breath, though didn't lose focus. Utilizing aerial recovery, he spun upside down and launched two Kunai in R's direction. Although these weren't simply knives, they had paper tags attached to them, channeled with magic. As they connected with R's blade to deflect them, a bright flash of lightning burst from the tags, shocking and temporarily blinding R. This was a chance, an opening, and Satsujin intended to take it. Kicking off the ground and flash stepping back up to R, a vertical upward cut was narrowly avoided, leaving a cut on his enemy's shoulder where darkness seeped from it. "So you even bleed evil. Disgusting." Satsujin insulted. ​

​

Ignoring his words, R countered another blow from the lightning Katana. He had been caught off guard by those shock tags, and now he was on the defensive. Calling forth a second blade in his other hand, R began countering blow after blow, a symphony of clashing metals, sounds and sparks flying in every directions. R watched Satsujin's tactics. His cuts were as quick and deadly as the lightning that surrounded them. His speed was incredible, possibly even enough to match his dark assassination. He would need a change of tactics, or else one of the blows would end up slipping through, which would result in more, ending in his loss. Jumping backwards through a dark corridor to the lower floor, R walked to the center of it. He called out the name of an ability. "Black Adamant" His voice was layered with dark power, the ability's strength signified by the name's lack of the word "dark" and replacement with "black". The full extent of darkness.​

​

The assassin quickly honed in on R's new location. His bright blue eyes staring him down like a hawk watching it's prey. He was right, R was strong. He'd never have been able to handle the other person along with him, and from the looks of things, the heartless was only going to get stronger. He saw something strange crawl across the floor below him. It was his shadow. His shadow was leaving him, and travelling into R, as were all the others in the room. Just what was he planning to do? He didn't know, but it wouldn't be a good idea to wait and find out. Jumping over the still standing part of the rail, he flew at R, attempting to stab him. ​

​

As the name might suggest, this was a defensive tactic. From the bottom of his feet up, the shadows of the room coated his body in themselves. They hardened immensely, and formed a solid black suit of armor, darkness seeping out from his shoulders, which resembled wings, to avoid an overload of it within. It also enveloped both of the swords in his hands, changing their shapes considerably. One was changed from a simple broadsword into a large great sword (seen in picture), the other changed into a black, spiked shield, covering the entirety of his forearm and protecting most of his torso. As the strike from Satsujin collided with R, he raised his shield, defending against it completely as a shock wave of power blew outward, shattering all the windows. If R was having trouble avoiding his attacks, Nullifying them was his next option. At the cost of his own speed, he rendered Satsujin's nearly meaningless. ​

 

Seeing the fights going on before him, Ace thought of this a perfect chance to see what they could do. So while the two battle, he simply moved himself out of the way and watched the show before him. Since it seemed that the two had history with each other, he knew that that could mean and interesting show. He new that much from personal experience or rather, his students experience.
