The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Kel had gotten back at the mysterious tower just in time to see Beuce crash into the wall. He didn't say anything in response, meagerly looked away as he headed inside behind Garnet.

Xross smirked at their current plan before heading off into a corridor of his own. The world he chose was Twilight Town, though it wasn't to cause mayhem and destruction. He had his own little plan, which involved the other darks. If they did what they was suppose to then his could put his plan into action.

Kaxar was unsure about the keyblade glider, but she thought she may as well give it a try. She threw her keyblade into the air, and as it came down she jumped onto it, slamming the keyblade into the ground. She began panicking. "Oh crud oh crud oh **** is it broken?" she asked to nobody in particular, fearing the worst. She was unaccustomed to how strong the keyblade was. She picked it up off the ground, and breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay..no damage done" she said. She was hesitant to throw it again, but did it anyway. She made it onto the keyblade glider this time, and immediately began flying around in a small circle. "WOW, how did i never know about this?" she exclaimed excitedly.

Verox followed the king. This mouse is a king? How does a mouse get to be a king? he wondered. He was about to tell Mickey about his request to see the old man, but he wasn't sure that it was the best time, especially with company arriving shortly. He took note of the fact that the girl didn't seem to want to be there, but he wasn't sure why she was there. He decided to remain quiet. He calmly stood there and just waited, an accomplishment for someone as jumpy and impatient as himself.

 

Lysa smiles and nods, "thanks, Cid," she says, giving him a wink as he goes to work on her decimated vessel. She then turns to Emerald, "soooo.... what now?" she asks, tilting her head to the side.

It was quite a while past since R had entered the realm of darkness, Not that he minded it. He only just now came across the first sign of life, as the heartless of the realm seemed to be leaving him alone. Either because they felt no hostility toward their own kind of out of fear of him. R was at current, likely the strongest heartless in existence. And the fact he'd just absorbed the power from the cornerstone of darkness wasn't exactly taking away from that. The old hooded man asked who he was. "My name is R." He said humbly. "There have been whispers, rumors of your existence. A wise man, betrayed by his apprentices and cast into the darkness not once, but twice. The second time to redeem himself." He finished. It may not have been much, but that was about the extent of what he knew about this man. There weren't many people trapped in the realm of darkness, so he could assume this was the same person. "I...I come seeking your knowledge." R said, taking out the empty cornerstone. "It's been drained of it's power. I seek a way to restore it." He asked in his normal emotionless voice. The man was obviously not eager to help, sensing the darkness within R. "Please...I may be of the darkness, but as you should know, the darkness is only as evil as the one who uses it. I don't seek the destruction of light and to conquer all. I only seek to escape an unjust fate." R said, trying to persuade him that he meant no harm. There was a faint trace of something in his voice. It was fear. Something about the unjust fate part. He knew more than he cared to explain to those around him. He asked once more. "Please...." ​

"You're damn right it's me!" Beuce yelled to the king through the tower. Once they had gotten inside and the king asked about the mission, Beuce was the first to respond. "Well, i got some major style points racked up. First, I single handedly took down the leader of the darks and one of his lackies! Kel helped a little bit, but i did most of it. Then they got some reinforcements. Two nobodies, and another guy who when he and Kel looked at each other, you could cut the tension with a knife. One of them pulled some kinda silent hill crap and summoned Pyramid head. I think the text called it "the exquisitor" or something. I wasn't paying attention. But yeah! I took that out in one hit and grabbed sapphire. Mission accomplished!" Beuce finished, greatly over exaggerating his own importance in the mission. He was beginning to get annoyed at sapphire yelling at them "Shut up Tera- i mean Sapphire! You're a side character even when you're a main character!"

"Well why don't we go see how the others are doing?" Emerald suggested when asked what to do while waiting. "That IS kinda the whole reason i was sent here, to help him find out about his family."


Deep in the keyblade graveyard, slept an ancient evil. The creator of darkness itself. His eyes slowly rolled open as he awoke with a start. He was in a cave, that's all he could tell. He tried to recall the events that had passed before he fell into his sleep. "Ah, that's right...The agents of kingdom hearts were sent after us...To think, it held power like that..." He said to himself. He slowly got to his feet, and checked to make sure all his belongings were still in their proper places, which they were. Making his way out of the cave, Xindai gazed up at the sky. To his surprise, it was filled with an incredible number of lights. "What in the world?" He rhetorically asked. As he was knocked unconscious during the breaking of the worlds, he had never seen the worlds outside his own. The stars. It was only now he looked down. The ground below was lined with masses of keyblades. Some of which he recognized as his own creation. "It seems i've been away longer than i would have liked..." In an attempt to gather information, he slowly made his way toward the closest mind he could sense. It was the only one in the area. Very faint, yet it was powerful. Powerful indeed...

 

Lysa gives a cocky half-grin and rocks back on her heels, "alright, then, where should we start looking?" she asks, raising an eyebrow and glancing around.

 

Rexitus and Lexeain came out of a portal in Twilight Town, but at the sandlot. "This is beginning to become a little awkward." Rexitus said to his companion, "They do realize that we are Nobodies? Because if they did, they would realize that we do as they please. And we can't really summon Heartless. Can we?"
Lexeain only sighed, "I do question that superior's motives, but we have to keep sticking to the plan. For one, I can't summon Heartless because I rejected darkness. So I'm picked clean of any shard of it in my body. You, on the other hand, can summon only Purebloods. After all, you did become an Antiform before."
Rexitus gave Lexeain a double take after her last comment. "And could you mind explaining how exactly do you know this?"
Lexeain gulped. "I dunno.."Lexeain replied quickly, "What you were producing back there during the fight was pure corruption, and the way you sounded was like you somehow accepted the darkness, embraced it even. Maybe you bonded with it and became an Antiform even before you became a Nobody."
Rexitus considered this thought for a little, then spoke, "You could be right. And from what my crazier side said, I have a father that's a redo of Pyramid Head, but why break the 4th Wall when we have a mission to complete?"
He snapped his fingers, and surprisingly, a few Shadows emerged. In turn, Lexeain snapped her fingers and a few Dusks appeared.
"As two Nobodies summoned both an armada of Heartless and a battalion of Nobodies, they fight for one cause, and one cause alone: Distraction. For both the dark users...."
".....And for us to carry out our second objective."Lexeain said, finishing her companion's sentence.
"Right. You go around the town, cause havoc, and collect more troops. I shall go to the old mansion. Speaking of which, do you have the other Power Harness?"
Lexeain put a hand into her cloak, and threw the device at Rexitus. Rexitus caught it with one of his wormholes and put on his smiling mask.
"Good luck, Angel."
"Likewise, Grim Reaper."
These were the code names they occasionally used. Since this was both an intelligence capture/diversion, they would use the names. The two disappeared, beginning their mission.

Kaxar followed Louvel and Azurite, gliding along and enjoying every moment of it. She couldn't help but wince a little as Louvel answered Cid's question. He said it so bluntly, almost as though it was matter of fact, is that how he treats everything? she thought to herself. She kept gliding around, enjoying the keyblade glider more and more as she used it. "So, where are we going to be going?" she asked.

R listened to Ansem's explanation about how the stones' power had been fragmented, and how to piece it back together. He was relieved, the man had the answer he was looking for. He was about to leave and work on the stone, when Ansem told him of a young man who understood the balance between light and darkness. "He must have been a remarkable young man. Anyone with the capability to grasp the concept of that balance clearly surely ought to be. My students...They don't seem to be able to grasp it. Until they can, they'll never truly master the keyblade. I only wish i could get through to them..." The heartless said solemnly. "Thank you for your words of wisdom." With that, he opened a corridor of darkness to twilight town. He knew somewhat where the old mansion was. The corridor opened up in the forest. The trees were all bent and stripped of leaves, his own doing. He felt a small hint of guilt. He himself was trying to escape destruction, yet in doing so, he caused destruction to whatever was around him. A necessary loss. Necessary, but unfortunate all the same. He continued on, and pushed open the door of the mansion slowly. Inside he saw a man with dark brown hair, and awaited a response from him. ​

Emerald frowned as Louvel stated that his parents were dead "Sorry to hear that." She said somewhat quietly. In any case, they had accomplished their mission. "So Cid, the gummi ship done yet?" She asked the elderly mechanic.

Xindai eyed the armor, intrigued by it. He could sense a mind, yet nothing else. Wondering how this was possible, he drew closer to inspect it. Upon doing so, he realized that it had a keyblade. The only question was, were they of light or darkness. Using his powers as a nobody, he probed the armor's mind, to find out it was just a faint echo of a man. A lingering will. The tragic events of the armor's former life played out in Xindai's mind. "Quite the tale. Tragic indeed. Unlike most, there's no happy ending for you." He stated to the lingering will. "This...Xehanort character, something is familiar about him."

Gexln looked up as the man answered. Truth be told, with the amount of time he had been looking in Twilight Town he was surprised that he'd actually found someone. The man gave off almost an aura of power, just being around him seemed dangerous. But would he be worth fighting? he wondered. Standing up, Gexln picked up Darkness' Sorrow. He was still very much frustrated at the last memory he had recalled, but he was trying not to let that cloud his judgement.

He made his decision. He pointed Darkness' Sorrow at R. "If you want to continue, you're going to have to get through me" he said, feeling as though he'd found an opponent that may be a challenge to him after all.

 

R stared at the man raising his weapon at him. He should have known it wouldn't be that easy.
"Very well...If you desire combat, i'll oblige." He needed to proceed into the mansion, so he had no choice but to fight the man. "Dark Assassination." R calmly declared the name of his attack. What appeared to be almost claws appeared on each of his hands as he floated into the air. The weapons on his hand were razor sharp, easily able to cut through flesh. Slowly, dark markings began to spread all around his body, the most visible of were on his face. Twisted, thorn like shapes. Upon closer inspection, one would realize that they weren't tattoos, but separate objects pressed tightly against his skin. He used his control over darkness to levitate himself through the markings, then propelled himself forward by the same means, far faster than the average person could move. Using the same method, he swiped it Gexln with his claws, using the markings to boost his speed.​

 

Gexln jumped backwards. He landed on top of the stairs neatly on his feet, visually he appeared far more calm than he actually was. How did he move so fast?! he wondered. R had moved faster than the majority of the people Gexln had seen, possibly faster than Gexln himself. He then noticed the markings. Could they be what caused his speed? he questioned. Within 10 seconds of challenging R, Gexln already suspected that he was right in R being dangerous. He wasn't sure if he would need to go all out or not, deciding to wait a little longer. He couldn't afford to wait too long and let R figure out his next move. "Why are you here?" he questioned, hoping to buy some time. Directly after he asked the question, Gexln fired a dark firaga at R.

As there was time between his attacks, R had plenty of reaction time to dodge the Dark Firaga. After he had dodged, he landed gracefully on the railing above. "I seek to restore something that was lost. The means to do so lies within this mansion." He answered before sending a dark firaga of his own at the man below, expect this Dark Firaga was the variant that split into several smaller versions when approaching it's target. After the Dark spell left his hand, he flew off once more, circling around Gexln and trying to slash at him from the back ​

Gexln wasn't surprised by the Dark Firaga, but he was surprised when it split into multiples. As he was watching the dark firagas, he barely saw R fly behind him. "What are you restoring?" he asked. Before waiting for the answer, he straightened his body. Concentrating for a brief second, Gexln released a violent burst of dark energy, a small area around him repulsing his surroundings, but draining a good chunk of his energy.

 

R was about to cut him when he was blown back by the pulse of dark energy. He had admit, that caught him off guard. "An object of great power. It's but a shadow of it's former self, and i seek to change that." The heartless answered as he dove in for yet another attack. Except this time when he delivered the swipe, he circled around for another immediately after. and again, unleashing a flurry of dark cuts against Gexln. ​

Garnet put down Sapphire and held her hand. "Hey, listen. It'll all be okay! We're willing to help you! I know it must be rough, being surrounded by abusive people, and believe me, you've met my sister Ruby, so you that I know what it's like.

"Anyway. I'm Garnet. Just don't struggle, and we can help a lot quicker, okay?" She smiled, "Now then..." Her face suddenly got serious. "What the hell did they do to my little sister? She has a Keyblade!" Garnet yanked sapphire's arm a bit, "Tell me."

"Oh dear. Looks like Garnet's a bit too concerned... Sigh..." She looked at the Sleeping Annabelle. "You're gonna be okay Annabelle, just as soon as we figure out what happened to you..."

Ruby sneered at Kaya. "Whatever, as long as YOU don't do anything stupid if we see out sisters, got it?" This was in Ruby's nature, yes. But she was mad. No, not mad, bloodthirsty. She'd kill those little trolls that were her sisters. One way or another.

"Shadows..." Gexln echoed. Could this man be associated with the darkness? He'd used dark firaga but that didn't mean he was with the dark. His eyes tried furiously to keep up with R's movements as he flew around him. He tried ducking and weaving around his cuts, but a few got through and made several scratches on his right arm. He cringed a little as they hit, but quickly realised he had to do something or else he was going to lose again. Thinking quickly, he spun in a 360 degree arc, attempting to hit R with Darkness' Sorrow.

Lysa bit the inside of her lower lip as Louvel and Cid spoke about Louvel's family, shifting her weight from one foot to the other as she watched Cid work, trying to learn as much as she could about the art of mantaining and repairing ships. Lysa, hearing that Cid had finished, started to walk forward, "Thank you... seriously, I found that thing as a pile of junk, and I don't think it would have ever flown again without you," she says softly, giving the ship a quick glance-over before effortlessly leaping up to sit on the fighter-like Gummi ship's nose. "So... Where are we going?"
