The Final War, Light Vs Dark

Iaso saw an object coming closer to him but he couldn't make it out. Then at a split second before it hitting him he noticed it was another bottle and dropped to a laying down position on his glider, then he stood back up. "What is it with him and throwing bottles!?", Iaso asked himself as he got closer and closer to Buece. Iaso grabbed a ether potion bottle from his pocket and proceeded to pour it out. "Who needs magic...", Iaso stated as he then had an empty glass bottle in his hand and in responce chucked it at Buece's head.

 

Garnet looked at Beice. "You're lucky I felt guilty. But as soon as we're done here, Lu and I are REALLY skipping out. My sister is dying, and I got Annabelle. You guys are just lucky Luna guilt tripped me."

Luna smiled. "Garnet, maybe we should stop talking and just fight."

 

"I agree!" Kel shouted at them. Since he was still dealing with the executioner, he wanted all the help he could get. With two people it would be better, anything higher than that though would be perfect. Aiming his keyblade at the monsters face, he charged up a fire spell and sent it right at it.

The Executioner roared at the two new challengers, the roar echoing like a thousand thunders, as he finally unstuck the blade, letting it fall behind him. Kel's fireball had hit it dead in the face, and the monster became lame for a bit, but it quickly regained it's composure. And, before it moved, it groaned, but to the others, the words popped in their heads, being able to understand what it was saying.
"You will die for your crimes against the Darks."
It began to move over to the group, dragging the blade while limping, and grabbed to hands to it's blade and swung, it's blade slashing in a horizontal lash.

Kaxar took a couple of minutes to take the story in properly. Two seconds later, she spoke up, creating a time paradox unintentionally. "I'll help in whatever way i can, if she got that power darkness would destroy everything...again" Kaxar said, the memory of Glen slaying multiple people, controlled by darkness, all too familiar to her. She still had True Light's Flight summoned, just holding it there. She knew that somehow, the keyblade would help with their objective.

 

"No you fool. That wasn't the purpose of the mission at all." R said, obviously annoyed at what they'd done. "The cornerstones aren't merely containers for the power within them. They're a catalyst, focusing the energy into ways beyond our understanding. During the first keyblade war, Kingdom hearts wasn't the only thing they were fighting over. An object called the Eternity Stone, capable of bringing out potential in a keyblade that if used correctly, could make you nigh invincible. It held a power no living being could ever hope to achieve. It was shattered toward the end into the four cornerstones. Two of light, and two of darkness. They went so far to protect this, the pieces were hidden across time itself. You would have been fine when the stones united. They were made to be joined." R clenched the hollow stone angrily. "But now, we have an empty shell of the Eternity Stone. It's not a matter of simply "putting it back in". Especially since the powers are now separated between various people. You three contain the power of the cornerstone of light, and i the darkness." R took a deep breath and began to calm down. In his rage at the nobodies, he'd nearly forgotten about Sapphire. "We can't let the light take Sapphire. She may not be strong, but if you look at what she can be rather than what she is, it's frightening." R said, returning to his usual monotone voice. "It's likely they've taken her to their stronghold. What we fought today was likely not all of their ranks, and we nearly lost. In fact, their goal was accomplished. We must act cautiously in the future, yet now, time is of the essence. What do you all believe should be our next course of action?" R asked the opinion of his followers. He may have been the leader, and as such the final decision lied with him, but he still valued the thoughts of the others. Perhaps they could concoct a better plan to fit this case than he could.

Beuce saw the sword coming at him just in time to duck under it. He narrowly avoided the sword, and unintentionally the bottle thrown at him, which then shattered against the executioner's face. Beuce turned around to see Iaso in the distance, as the bottle's thrower. "Hey! I thought you were a bad guy!" Beuce called to him, questioning his motives and believing that he had meant to hit their enemy.

"Well, i decided to join the war. I'm here on a mission with this guy named Louvel." Emerald started the explanation. "He's trying to find out what happened to his family. Meanwhile, we met her along the way." Emerald said, pointing her thumb at Lysa "Her name is Lysa. She has this Gummi ship which is well...It's kind of a piece of crap. And by kinda i mean really. No offense." She said to Lysa. "So we came here hoping you could give us a hand with it"

 

Kel too managed to dodge the executioner's attack. Surely by know it had to be getting weaker, but they needed a sure fire way to take him down. "Anyone got any suggestions?" An open question like that was certain to bring about a good idea.

Xross listened to R's explanation of the corner stone. If it was to be made from both light and darkness the surely it was going to be a powerful item. "If they attacked us here, I say we attack at their home base." Considering that he knew where it was, it seemed fitting to do so.

 

Lysa nodded as Emerald did the talking, her brown eyes surveying the room once more, then landing back on Cid. Clasping her hands together behind her, Lysa starts to shift her weight from her toes to her heels and back again, blushing a tad as Emerald mentions how cruddy her heavily-damaged ship was.

Verox had arrived at Mysterious Tower. He changed his keyblade glider back into its keyblade form, having it fulfilled its purpose of getting him there. He looked up at the mysterious tower. "This tower has many stories about it, one of which was that rumour about an old man here with the power to make people keyblade masters" he said, taking a couple of steps towards the tower. "But that rumour was around what? about 15 years ago or so. Wonder if he's still here.." he added on. He walked the rest of the way, over to the tower itself. "Well, only one way to find out" he stated, with a small laugh at the end of it. He pushed open the doors and walked inside.

 

"A head on assault on their base may be a bit risky. After all, we know nothing of their numbers, if that was all of them or not." R began. "We don't have the time to train in order to launch an attack. Perhaps discretion is the better option here. Xross, your abilities seem to lie with stealth. Not only that, but you're the only one who's been to their base. I'm sending you there. Scope out their forces and, if possible, retrieve Sapphire." R concluded his order, then looked at the empty cornerstone once more. "I will finish the job i sent you on." He stated, mostly to the nobodies.

The fight was dragging on too long and Rienzel had been given permission to end it. "Alright ugly, let's end this." Beuce said, dashing forward. He quickly got behind Pyramid head and drove his keyblade through the hand holding the sword, causing it to drop it. Beuce immediately grabbed the handle and lifted with all his might. "Sweet jesus this thing is heavy" He groaned before finally giving up on using the weapon for himself. "Alright. Looks like we're going old fashioned here." With that, Beuce cut into the executioner. Then again, and again. A ways into the combo, he did a front flip, stabbing his keyblade into the ground before he landed, causing a circle of sparks to burst from the ground and knock the executioner into the air, where he continued his combo. He let out various grunts as he cut him, before finally kicking off his chest and spinning, wrapping himself in flames. "One more!" He called out before tossing his keyblade at it. Unlike a strike raid, this didn't spin. It stayed straight and pierced the heartless' chest, ending it's existence. "Whew! That took way too long! Now then, let's make like a banana and...leave." Beuce stated before summoning his glider and flying off.

Garnet was about to take off, when Sapphire caught her eye. She looked at the spot where Beuce had just been, then back at Sapphire. She sighed. "Luna, hold Annabelle." She hoisted her sister on Luna's shoulder, then approached Sapphire. Seeing that the girl was passed out, she figured she couldn't be left there all alone. "Hup!" She slung her over her shoulder.

"What are you doing?" Luna asked.

"Taking her with us. She can't be left here, I mean, only other person left is my sister" she heard a shriek,"...Who is waking up now! Run!" Garnet darted, attempting to summon her glider on time, but it was too late. Ruby had burst through the door and sent a Firaga straight for her.

"Aarrrrgh..." Garnet collapsed onto her knees. She had been hit in the shoulder opposite the one she had been carrying Sapphire on. She saw Luna stop to help her, but she shook her head, she just got up and jumped on her glider, following Beuce to the Mysterious Tower.

Kaxar tilted her head to the side slightly, clearly confused. "Keyblade glider?" she asked. She'd heard the term before, but she couldn't remember how to use her keyblade as a glider. The idea of gliding on a simple key seemed far-fetched to her, not realizing it transformed. "I don't think i've used one before, teach me how?" she asked curiously.

Verox stopped, not expecting to meet someone so soon. Slowly he looked up, the high pitched voice seeming a little out of place to him. What he saw in front of him was definitely not what he had expected. Truth be told, he definitely looked old, but he was not a man. "A mouse?" he murmured under his breath. He shrugged his shoulders; no sense in making enemies this soon, he had enough of them. The old mouse didn't look too threatening to him anyway. "Name's Verox, who are you?" he asked, a tone that suggested he was cautious but not threatening.

Lysa nodded, "Yeah, follow me, I landed it over this way... sort of..." she said, and, without giving either of the others a chance to respond, turned toward the door and motioned for Emerald and Cid to follow her as she stepped out into the street. She glanced back at the cluttered house just once, to make sure that the others were following her, then she made her way though the streets and allyways to the small square that she had landed her ship in.

For the record, the thing didn't look like something made out of junk... though it did look like it could have been stolen from a junkyard. The once-sleek hull was pockmarked with blast and impact craters, and several components appeared to have been scavenged from other ships. The fact that the cockpit canopy was cracked and that three of the four underwing weapon pods had been shot off didn't add to the small, fighter-like craft's appeal.

One of the three landing struts was missing its lower segment, giving the ship a slight portside lean. The missing piece was only a dozen meters away, looking as though it had fell off when the landing gear was lowered. All in all, it looked as if Lysa had to be a pretty good (and lucky) pilot to land the thing in one piece.

 

As The Executioner faded, Rexitus's Otherworld effect faded as well. Rexitus let out a short cry of pain as he fell on his knees, clenching his stomach. The brown paint of Castle Oblivion's walls faded back to their orginal white, any technology, windows or mirrors reformed and repaired themselves to their previous state. It was like all the energy that Rexitus had put out in the first place seemed to be sucked back in a painful manner. Lexeain walked over to him, and helped him back up. As soon as Rexitus regained his balance, he asked R, "What do you want me to do?"

 

With the Executioner finally defeated, Kel took this chance to summon his glider and hop in. He didn't bother with looking back at Xross cause he had a gut feeling that this wouldn't be the time that they saw each other. Still all things said and done, they manage to complete the mission which meant he could head back to the tower. Which was exactly what he did.

R was a bit weary to send them on another mission, but they did need to do something. "Go find a populated world, and wreak havoc there. Unleash the heartless, kill the inhabitants, destroy the keyhole, whatever you must do. The lights will come running to it's defense, and have that much less time to plan for their actions" It was a sinister plan, but it needed to be done. In war, sacrifices must be made. It was then Kaya began running after her sister with Ruby. He'd learned from experience try to stop Kaya from doing something was like telling the wind not to blow. He reluctantly let her go. If Xross was smart, he could work this to their advantage and slip past the lights while they distracted them. "I'll be off" R stated before holding out his hand to open a dark corridor. He paused for a moment, realizing he hadn't the slightest clue where to start searching for the answer. After a few minutes, of thinking, something came to mind. An old man. They may possess the answer. He flicked his wrist and a dark portal opened, which he stepped through. He found himself in an endless darkness. All around, just black, with only the occasional blue in the large wood-like substances. He was in the realm of darkness. He had to admit, the darkness around him felt embracing, comfortable. I suppose that came with being a heartless. The darkness was his natural environment. He slowly began to walk, down the endless pathways. ​

Beuce was nearly back to the mysterious tower when he realized he'd forgotten sapphire. "...Oh shi-" He stopped as he turned around and saw Garnet had her. "Oh, whew. Almost gave myself a heart attack there..." He quitely whispered to himself as he turned back around, just in time to crash into the mysterious tower. "...ow."

"As you can see, not in the greatest of shapes." Emerald said to Cid. The ship may have been run down, but she was sure he could fix it in no time flat. "Work your magic."

Gexln was still in the old mansion, just walking inside looking at everything inside of there. He was still thinking, remembering. A wave of bitterness flowed through him as he remembered a certain person, his first real fight as a Nobody.

Spoiler: Monster

Verox landed on the steps in front of the clock tower, as Gexln landed several metres away from him, both on their feet but drenched in sweat and clearly exhausted. Verox had his keyblade out, pointed downwards at the ground, Gexln with Darkness' Sorrow raised and ready for anything.

"You're never... going to beat me" Gexln said between breaths. "I'll never... lose to you" Verox retaliated. "That's where you're wrong. The darkness will give me the strength to win" Gexln proclaimed. Verox laughed a little. "No, Gexln, that's where YOU'RE wrong. The darkness doesn't make you stronger if you can't control it. It holds you back, the light is the way to go. You're nothing but a monster who uses the darkness as an excuse to kill people!" Verox accused. Gexln flinched, being called a monster was something Glen had been called several times when experimenting with the darkness. He did not like it. "I am not a monster" he replied, trying to keep his voice as steady as possible. "You always have been, and you always will be. That's just who you are" Verox said. Gexln's fury welled up inside of him like a roaring fire. "I will control the darkness, anything can change!" he yelled furiously, sprinting towards Verox with raging fury in his eyes. Verox said nothing, running at Gexln.

Both warriors were determined not to lose, but both were beginning to have doubts about whether they could win the fight and survive or not. The blades clashed against each other with such force that they make a loud clanging noise that echoed through most of Twilight Town. They stood there for a brief moment, both standing there trying to overpower the other, both had their teeth gritted in sheer determination. Eventually, Gexln lost concentration for just a second, but a second was all Verox needed. Pushing his advantage, he swung his keyblade upwards and disarmed Gexln, Darkness' Sorrow flying several metres away and crashing into the ground. Verox pointed Rejection of Fate at Gexln's throat, only to lower it a second later. "Prove it" he said. "Prove it?" Gexln echoed, unsure of what Verox meant. "Prove that you can change. Prove that you can control the darkness, and then I in turn will prove to you that darkness is weaker than light" Verox said. Gexln eyed Verox with suspicion. What's he playing at? he thought to himself. Very slowly, he took a few steps backwards and retrieved Darkness' Sorrow. "You should have killed me, because the next time our blades cross will be the last" Gexln stated coldly. He opened a dark corridor. "And i won't be the one that loses" he said, stepping through the dark corridor.

Gexln punched the wall in anger, the wound to his pride still deeper than he would've liked to think. "Damnit, i shouldn't have lost that! I won't lose again!" he shouted angrily. He turned his back to the wall and let himself just fall against it, leaning against the wall in a slump. "I already control the darkness almost completely, but it isn't enough. When i have complete control over the darkness, he'll know what true fear is.." he vowed.

Garnet looked at Beuce. "Idiot..." She said, rolling her eyes. She dismounted her Keyblade glider and gracefully landed on the ground, still carrying Sapphire. She heard Luna land beside her. "You okay Lu?"

Luna nodded. "I got your sister. Let's take them both into the tower!" Then she ran off with Garnet.

Meanwhile,

Ruby looked at Kaya. "Where are we gonna go then? Any pathetic world out there?" She asked with enormous disdain. "We have to get our sisters back somehow."
