The Final War, Light Vs Dark

As soon as Sapphire entered her dark mode, R saw that as an invitation to stop going easy on her. He could tell that she wasn't in control, as she was attacking Ruby. In order to stop her and give them a fighting chance, as they wouldn't if they were attacking eachother, R made a long tendril of darkness swipe across the room, aiming to directly hit sapphire in the face.

As Beuce flew along his glider, he saw the castle in the far off distance, some guy was standing in the middle of the path though, he almost ran him over. He heard the man call something about jerk off at him. "Keep that to yourself buddy!" Beuce called back to him. Even though the castle was within range of veiw, it was still a ways away, and would take a few more minutes to get there.

Once Emerald disembarked at the mysterious tower with Zwei, she looked up at it. "Well, i can see why they call it the mysterious tower..." She said while walking in. Along the way up the tower, she spoke to Zwei. "So what brings you to the king?"

 

Iaso heard the man's remark and threw his keyblade at the man and his glider. The keyblade missed the man and his glider by five inches and returned back to Iaso. "Well, that's just my luck...", Iaso sighed as he caught his keyblade. He continued his way to the Castle. He put his lighter in his pocket and began throwing his keyblade from one hand to another. He caught the keyblade in his right hand and it began to glow. He quickly let go and his One Winged Angel turned into a glider. "... I could've used this awhile ago", Iaso stated as he jumped on his glider. He began to go forward and speed up getting closer and closer to the Castle. Only thirty feet away he kicked his glider to make it go faster but slipped. He fell to the ground and his glider turned back into One Winged Angel and fell beside him. "Why does everything happen to me?", asked Iaso as he grabbed his keyblade and got up slightly hurt from fall. He saw he was only a few yards away, so he began walking again. As he was walking he began to feel a tingle in his left leg. Iaso looked down to see his leg tore up and somewhat bloody. He took his coat and wrapped it around tightly on his leg as he continued on his way to the Castle.

 

Once everyone had caught up, Kel went on ahead towards the Castle. After about a few minutes of flying close to his top speed, he could just make out the castle in the distance. He figured that Beuce was further ahead since he couldn't him at all. He'd find out soon enough though as he continued towards the castle.

While Rextius and Lexain discussed the plan, Xross went on ahead towards the last place he saw the corner stone. Soon they arrived at the door the queen had run through during his last trip here. "It should be past this door." He said under his breath.

Zwei turned to Emerald when she asked her question. "There's a few things I want to ask him." He replied.

 

Rexitus walked over to the door to where Xross had walked over. The door had what looked like it had a seal of light over it, something that Darks or In-Between's couldn't unlock.
"Clever." Rexitus said, smirking behind his mask. He turned to Lexeain. Lexeain cocked her head.
"You do realize that the spell can't be that simple, right?" Lexeain asked tartly.
Rexitus crossed his arms and stared at her. Lexeain let out a groan.
"Fine, I see how it is." Lexeain said as she summoned her Keyblade. She pointed it at the seal. Nothing happened.
"Now what?" Lexeain asked.

 

As Kel arrived at the door of Castle Oblivion, he did a quick look around it to see just what it could hold. It certainly could serve as a base if not some kind of screwed up prison. Though if this was where all the darks were going to be at, then he would have to be careful. So he simply just leaned himself against the door and waited for the others to show up.


Xross gently opened the giant door before proceeding in. Just like before, he could feel the effects of the cornerstone as he continued to advance closer to it. Once he'd gotten within seeing range of the giant source of light, he took one more look at the dark cornerstone in his possession before waiting to see just what to two following him would do.

Zwei was a bit surprised to see the other made greet them instead of the king. He figured that he was a student or had some sort of relationship with him. he was about to answer his question right as the King came out and greeted them. Since if was likely that they would do more talking inside, he simply followed the kings lead into the tower.

 

R raised up a sword of darkness to deflect her Dark Firaga, the attack came with more force than he expected, while the darkness was somewhat under her control, it was more focused, there was enough force behind the spell to push R back out of his circle, but he eventually deflected it toward the roof without it breaking his defense totally. Sapphire's potential...It was incredible. He lifted his hand, and with it rose the circle. it became thin and flat, forming a disc shape, as razor thin blades slowly grew out of it on all sides. "Dark Tracer" With the name of the attack called out, he flicked his wrist and launched it at the group. As the name would imply, it had somewhat of a homing effect. Escape wasn't impossible, but certainly difficult.

As Kel arrived, Beuce was already pushing the door with all his might. "Hrrrrg! Dammit! It's locked! Ugh. It's times like these i wish i had a universal key or so-....Oh yeah." Beuce said, apparently just recalling that the keyblade actually functioned as a key. He stepped back, summoned guardian soul, and emitted a beam of light with struck the door, causing it to slowly creep open. He walked inside not a moment sooner than R had launched his Dark Tracer. "Alrighty then! 'Sup darks? I see you're having a little spat or something here, I think i'll cut it on that." Beuce said, tossing a firaga at R.

Incredibly quickly, R spun around, and swiped his hand, the disc changing targets. It struck the Firaga, causing it to explode and nullifying the spell completely, but knocked the disc off it's course, so it struck the ground and dissipated. "It was only a matter of time...I presume you're with the light then? I can't begin to gather an answer to how you found our base." R said, knowing Kaya would never crack and tell them.

"Oh that? A magical blue plot device told us. Something about sisters or something. I wasn't paying attention." Beuce said, giving a rather...interesting answer.

"I see...If you've harmed Kaya in any way, mark my words, it'll be a demise you can't begin to fathom." The heartless threatened.

"Dude, what's with the big words? Ohhh i get it, you're the cool serious leader. Right. I gotcha now. Anyway, I treat my wife right! Look at her, she's having a blast!" Beuce said, Opening his pocket and looking inside.



"I've heard that there's a war going on with the dark side. Like a real war. I couldn't just sit by while everyone else did all the work. I wanna help!" Emerald said cheerfully to the mouse king. "and he said he had something to ask ya."

"Maybe YOU should be careful if you've done anything to Annabelle." Garnet said, stepping in after Beuce and not caring what went down.
"Gar, come on. Don't just rush in like that! You could get hurt!" Luna said.

"Garnet!?" Annabelle cried out in enormous surprise.
"What!? You're alive!?" Ruby cried out, equally surprised.

"Yeah, I am. Your attempt to kill me was lame. You should know better than to mess with me!"
Luna looked at them all. "Oh dear..."

Ruby sneered. "Well, why don't you put your Keyblade where your mouth is... and fight me!?"
Garnet smiled confidently. "You know I will."
"Annabelle, take care of our sister's friend." Ruby said, saying "sister" as if it were acid coming out of her mouth.

Annabelle didn't want to, but if her plan were to succeed, she'd need to. She looked at Luna, and summoned her Keyblade.

"What!? Annabelle..." Garnet said in huge shock. Her little sister had gotten a Keyblade! But that meant... No... she didn't believe it.
Luna just stared. "Well sweetie... if that's what you're gonna do..." She summoned her Keyblade. "Then it's gonna end badly!"

Ruby and Annabelle immediately charged the other two, who desperately tried to block.

Luna parried Annabelle's shot. "Man you're strong..." She pushed her back and rushed her, then summoned water.
Annabelle didn't see it on time, and was damaged by it. "Why you... Now my hair's all wet!"

Meanwhile, Ruby kept trying to fry Garnet with Fire Spells. Luckily, Garnet was quick and couldn't get hit.
"What's wrong Booby? Can't hit your little sister?"
"SHUT UP!" Ruby rushed forward and slashed Garnet across the middle.
Garnet dodged the blow, but it was a bit too close for comfort. "Wow... You're slipping."

 

R was relieved to see Kaya was alright, although he couldn't fathom the reason they would have brought her here. He said something about her being his wife, so it's possible he had some affection for her and didn't want to leave her. In which case the emotion of love worked in their favor

Beuce was about to say something further to R about Kaya, when his mind went blank and his attention gravitated toward the fight between the four girls. Particularly the red-haired one. She had incredible...eyes. In his head, a particular song began playing.
"Who's that lady? Sexy Lady...."

"Hot...Damn." He muttered. He was entranced, especially when she ran.

Then again...Maybe not. He obviously had wandering eyes. R looked toward the other light not engaged in combat, he seemed to be more competent. He could guess that they knew of sapphire's potential, and wanted to keep them from unleashing it. But most of them seemed occupied with their own goals. The two possibilities were that he was wrong, or that he was greatly overestimating their foes. In any case, this wasn't a training battle, this was a real fight against real foes. He didn't have to hold back. "Dark Sovereign" a medium sized ball appeared in the air next to him, about the size of a basketball. He launched it at a high velocity at Beuce.

The white haired keyblade wielder just barely managed to snap back into his senses in time to dodge. The ball missed his head by a fraction of an inch. "Dude! The hell?! I was scoping out the chicks here and you go and sucker...Throw a ball at me? What kinda deal was that?!"

R ignored his protest and launched another ball at him, but what likely no one noticed was that the original sphere was still there. It didn't dissipate like most attacks of the nature would. And so without making a motion, he caused the first to make a round trip and go to strike Kel.

 

Rexitus looked at him sharply. He then nodded to Lexeain. Lexeain pulled a small device from her cloak.
"In order for this to work, you need to place the Cornerstone of Darkness to the Light, to nullify it Xross." Lexeain said.
"Go on." Rexitus chimed in, "We don't have all day. We could be compromised as we speak!"

 

While Kel too was momentarily distracted by Ruby, he managed to regain his composure just in time to deflect R's attack at him. Great, why must I get dragged into this. It was too late to complain now, instead he got his keyblade into a ready position and prepared himself for what ever may come next.

Unlike the two behind him, Xross remained silent as he advanced towards the Conerstone of light. The effect it was having on him were increased as he got closer, but it would matter soon enough He took out the cornersotne of dark and held it up to the one of light. All that was left was to wait for the reaction to happen.

Zwei listen to what was being said before speaking. "If it's that serious then I'll help."

 

Iaso finally makes it to the Castle. He opens the door and looks up as he limps to hold himself up. He see's many people fighting each other, then spots the man who almost ran him over. "You...", Iaso said as he summoned his keyblade and violently jumped for the man. He misses the man by a few inches and then picks himself up with his keyblade. "Sorry if im interrupting, but you and me have some unfinished buisness.", Iaso stated as he readied to attack the man with white hair.

Gexln was sitting on top of the clock tower in Twilight Town. What was he doing? Searching for someone whom might be a challenge for him; the normal procedure for him. For weeks he'd been doing this, and it wasn't too much longer until he planned to move on. Twilight Town had helped him find many a challenge in his past, and he hoped it would again. He looked at the sunset, the sunset that never seemed to fade. Why is it i do this? he thought to himself. The only thing that came to mind was darkness. That's always what it came down to, wasn't it? The eternal darkness inside of him, constantly screaming to inflict pain and agony. Snapping out of his little lapse of concentration, his eyes once again began scanning the ground for any signs of a challenger.

Kaxar sighed. She was wasting her time, sitting around just thinking, when she could be attempting to rid the worlds of the darkness in peoples' hearts. She summoned her keyblade and looked at it; True Light's Flight. "Could this really be the answer to stopping the darkness? Can i save people with it?" she asked quietly to nobody in particular. She stood up; sitting down clearly wasn't going to accomplish anything. She began walking in the direction of the castle, convinced that someone there could tell her more about the keyblade.

 

Beuce looked at his new attacker, and recalled him from the trip there. "Oh hey it's the dude who like jerking off." it was then he attacked. "Oh, and apparently trying to kill people. Kinda sucking at it too..." Seeing as the assailant had missed on his own. It was then Beuce dodged another ball, they were now up to three, and another was coming. The next ball was shot, Beuce readied his keyblade to deflect it. "batter up." With that, beuce knocked the ball back at R.

The sphere headed straight for R's face, but it stopped inches ahead of his face. He shot orb after orb at them, using existing orbs to keep them at bay. After he had around twenty orbs, his tactics changed.The balls stopped hitting them and returned to R, spinning in a circle above his head, given an eerie black glow, along with R himself. "Cataclysmic power" R called out the name of the attack, just as he did, all the orbs simultaneously stopped, connecting themselves via lines of darkness, the became similar to solid dark firagas, All at once they launched themselves with extreme velocity, but disappeared shortly before the attack connect. the orbs faded into black smoke, as if they'd never been there at all. R floated in the air, speechless as a burning sensation enveloped his back, along with a considerable amount of shock from the force. One of Sapphire's more powerful dark firagas had struck him in the back by accident. he fell from the air and landed on one knee. "Dammit Sapphire..." He swore under his breath, knowing because of the opening it gave
them, he'd likely lose the fight, and since most of the other darks were occupied, they would likely be able to take her

Beuce knew a chance to strike when he saw it. He was badly bruised from being struck by R's dark sovereign repeatedly, and couldn't let him get back up. If there were a time to stall, now was not it. Completely ignoring his surroundings, opponents and allies alike, he ran toward the heartless, keyblade in hand. He put it all into the strongest move he knew. Holding his keyblade out in front of him, he shouted the attack's name. "Mega Flare!" Fire completely covered his keyblade, collected at the tip, then launched itself out in an orb of flame larger than the average person. With nothing in the way, it struck it's target head on and caused a large explosion, sending the leader of the darks flying. Beuce panted heavily, having expended all his mana on taking out R. "That'll teach ya to...wear a scarf! Yeah!" Beuce shouted the first thing that came to his mind.

The attack sent burning pain through R's entire body. He slammed with incredible force against the wall and fell to the floor, leaning back against it. His vision blurred from the impact, and he wasn't able to concentrate his darkness into a solid form. His only hope for victory was that the other darks could push them back. Although with Xross, Rexitus, and Lexain being just about the only competent darks besides himself, that was unlikely. Still, he couldn't lose faith in his students.

While exhausted, Beuce still had the energy to move, he ran at R, attempting to pierce his chest with his keyblade and take out the leader, earning him reputation points among the light, which even now was really all he was after.

 

A powerful light went off from the two Cornerstones. Lexeain threw the device, and it transformed in midair into a small generator. As the device landed next to the Cornerstones, and hummed loudly. All at once, the light stopped. The machine hummed quietly as Lexeain examined it.
"That there is Power Harness." Rexitus said, "R had forgotten one fact: If we combined these two Cornerstones with out the middle ground, we would've been fried by the unstable power. This device absorbs the extra power that both stones use to become dominant, and balances it out, giving equal power to each stone."
Lexeain gave the machine a good slap, saying, "Pretty nifty, huh? Looks like our job is done."
Then, Rexitus though of something.
"Why would R want us to null down the castle??" He asked, "To amount an attack, or to create a haven? Moreover, for what reason?"
"Dunno." Lexeain said, as she waited for Xross's response.

 

Iaso saw Buece charge at the man that was somewhat behind him. With his last bit of strength he picked up One Winged Angel and as Buece got closer and closer he began to lift it. Until Buece was only a short distance from them he lifted his keyblade right in front of Buece making Buece run into it at the last second. Iaso then fell to the ground in pain and exhaustion. "How did that taste, idiot?", Iaso said right before he passed out on the floor.

Tho girls finished their fight, and tey were exhausted. As good as Annabelle had become, Luna was much more skilled, and had managed to knock her unconscious.

Ruby, meanwhile, was clutching her side. Garnet had gotten a lucky hit on her. "D-Damn you..." Ruby snarled. "Rest assured that the next time we fight... I'll kill you!" she yelled at Garnet in anger, then passed out.

Garnet smirked. "Don't you wish." She picked up Annabelle and slung her over her shoulder. "I'll see you again sis, and next time, Annabelle should be helping me."

Luna observed the sisters. There was so much tension there. "Gar... I'm glad you found your sister. Now where's the other girl we had to take?"

"Not sure, but my objective's done. I got what I wanted, so now these guys have to fend for themselves. They aren't my responsibility."

Luna stayed silent. She didnt approve of just ditching the other lights, but Garnet was right, they didnt have any permanent obligation to them.

 

Considering what had just happened, Kel lowered his guard only slightly as he took a look around. Since two of them left, their numbers had diminished, but the biggest threat was down so that was good for them. Beuce was down for the moment so right now it was just him and the two girls. "Considering the situation, I don't suppose your willing to talk things out?" He questioned. Should his plan backfire, then he had means of escape that would still complete the mission.

Seeing as how Louvel had gone ahead, Zwei got up and tossed his keyblade out the window. Not even waiting for it to become a glider, he leapt after it. By the time he landed on it, he was now on his glider. He was all set, but there was still one more person for them to wait for.
