The Fight for Calxiyn

"Dayyyyyyuuuummm. You straight up gangsta." Who said that? It sounded like the guy I just slit the throat of! Couldn't be. He's dead. Must be my imagination. Al looked up at the person facing him, his face cycling through various expressions of confusion, before settling on surprise as they changed their minds constantly. Revenge? You stabbed him first! His hand slid towards the gun that lay on the ground by the dead hand of Sebax. Then, the crazy guy in front of him turned on him too. How to get out of this one? Al picked up the handgun lying on the ground and clutched it in both hands, whilst hanging on to the knife just in case this went wrong.
"Just like that firing range in Poland." He said. The gun was already cocked and loaded and with steady aim, pointed the weapon at the charging Nights and fired. (Can't get you in a mention for some reason. I think the little TM is giving the site some problems with mentions XD)

 

Sebax raised an eyebrow at the developing scene between @al215 and @Nights™ with limited interest. Meh. Being dead, this was entertainment enough. Only through paying attention he noticed a great detail; there was a long puddle of water coating the deck in the spot Nights was charging towards Al! It seemed as though running across would toss one or both of them overboard. 'Should I warn him...?' Sebax thought to himself... Meh. Being dead, this was entertainment enough.

 

Nights, having guessed the trajectory of the bullet, dove to the side in order to dodge. It seemed like this wasn't just a knife fight anymore. @al215 has changed the rules and Nights was more than happy to oblige. After rolling out of the dive, he quickly pulled out the revolver that had been nested on his side the entire time. As he pulled back the hammer, ready to begin the fight, he made a single statement, "Your odds would have been better without the gun. I'm a deadeye in battle."

There are no threads that I find myself currently interested in. If someone makes a "The Fight for Calxiyn" thread in the RP section, I'll sign up.

Why does someone else have to do it? Why can't you be the one that takes the initiative? Sometimes it's okay to not be the sheep.

 

I'm not good with laying out rules, regulations, blah blah blah. It's just a pain to have to make the thread. It's not that I'm a sheep, I'm just a lazy shepherd. I've never been able to outline rules and whatnot for things like threads, groups, etc.

Well I'm pretty sure they mean rp rules, because roleplays have their own individual rules.

No, I typically follow the straight and narrow. No rule breaking here if you don't count a few minor indiscretions.

I've done this as well but not with an RP thread. A good RP takes time and consideration. Like cstar mentioned, we could have one without rules or guidelines but that never ends well.

Al glared at her, narrowing his eyes and baring his teeth at Nights. He looked his foe in the eyes as they stared down the barrels of each other's guns. He was going to have to be very careful about how he played this. Whatever he was going to do, it was going to have to be fast. He noticed an aching in his shoulder again and silently cursed. That knife wound the fallen Sebax had inflicted on him was going to take it's toll if he had to fire this gun too often. His arm probably wouldn't be able to take too much of the punishing recoil that the gun produced. @Nights™ had to go down soon. He wouldn't be able to win in an elongated combat. But how? It had to be something daring, something that they couldn't predict... Then it came to him. He had one advantage. All he had to do, was take Nights off guard.
"Let's put that to the test shall we?" Al said, a strangely confident smirk appearing on his face. As the last word came out, he made his move. Al launched himself forward at Nights sliding along the slick deck of the boat towards, firing two shots haphazardly in the direction of Nights, although the chances of them hitting were next to none.

 

ITT: People are having fun and others don't like it

 

Nights felt a sudden surge of excitement as he watched the seemingly desperate @al215 charge closer. The two bullets fired haphazardly by his opponent were easy to dodge but he could still feel the wind, too close for comfort. He swung his blade around to take an assassin's stance, his gun pointing down the line Al was taking. He was grinning but there was a feeling in the back of his mind that something was amiss. Something wasn't right about this. Why would he fire those two shots so erratically? Was he truly that desperate to win the battle that he wouldn't even take the time to aim? No. Nights had fought many a warrior in the past and he could tell that this one wasn't that kind of warrior. He had something up his sleeve. Nights couldn't help but grin at the thought that there is a chance he would lose this fight. At this point he couldn't calculate the odds. He hadn't observed his opponent as long as he would have liked to. There was only one option and that was to finish the war before the battle begins. He lined up his sights, preparing to take his shot.

Al noted that despite the fact that the deck was coated in a thin layer of water, it still hurt a lot to slide over the surface of it. He decided to ignore the friction burn he was receiving for the moment, to focus on the more important matter of the rapidly approaching @Nights™ . It was time for his incredibly risky plan to pay off. For while Nights had been focusing on the two incredibly poorly fired shots that whizzed past his head, he hadn't noticed that as he clutched the gun, he had also been holding the knife in his right hand. That could probably be blamed for his absolutely awful aim at the moment, since he didn't have a very good grip even holding it with two hands. He reached the apex of his slide perfectly, right next to Nights. With the last of his momentum in one fluid motion as the slide drew to it's end by Night's left side, he pushed himself up on to one knee, dropped his gun and slammed the knife upwards right towards Nights' heart...

 

Cstar stared in disbelief as she watched talewind disappear. She shook her fist in the air and shouted, "This isn't over talewind! I will hunt you down and really steal your premium pink away. I swear it!"

She looked around and blinked, realizing this thread was still somehow alive, and she disappeared back into the shadows whispering, "Soon."

 

In utter disbelief, Nights coughed up a spout of blood as he looked down at @al215 who just freshly wounded him. Nights reacted at the last minute but there was nothing he could do to stop the attack, just keep it from being a fatal one. Surely just centimeters to the left of his heart, he knew he was in a bit of a pickle. The pain was fresh as was the sensation of liquid running down his shirt. Time had all but came to a halt. Was he supposed to be seeing his life flash before his eyes? He wasn't quite ready to give up. He couldn't give up. As his adrenaline wore off and time began to move again, he grabbed Als hand, knife and all, and with swift kick, and immense pain, he sent Al back a bit. He coughed up another spout of crimson liquid. He was in no shape to continue but he lifted his gun again, taking aim. His vision blurred, he shot once and the recoil knocked him backwards. He was too weak to fire a gun.

Al was thrown back backwards a little, the knife being yanked with a sickening noise out of @Nights™ body, just barely audible over the sound of the boat. He stumbled back a bit and saw his foe taking aim, though they were shaky and above all- Slow. He jumped to the side, slamming his left shoulder painfully into the side of the ship but luckily just narrowly evading the gunshot that could have given him a wound as damaging as the one he gave. Narrowing his eyes and smirking just slightly as Nights staggered back, the recoil of the weapon he held clearly too much for him in his weakened state, he charged. It didn't take too long to close the distance. He swiped at the gun with his left hand while sending another stab right for Nights' throat. A drop of blood fell from the blade revealing the silver edge which glinted in the dim light as it sliced through the air inexorably towards it's target...

 

Nights responded to @al215 by, while a little shaky, grabbing his hands and fighting for control of the blade. He could already see he wasn't going to win this battle but maybe the war was still debatable. So what, run then? That seemed like a cowardly thing to do. Maybe it was just time that he let fate take him in its clutches. What would she think though?

About that time, a bullet hit the blade sending it flying. Nights looked in the direction the shot came from. He had a look of terror on his face and for a second he thought about pleading for Al to take his life. It was Lunara standing on the deck just a little ways from them. "That's enough fun and games for you," she closed the gap and released a smoke bomb. She then grabbed Nights and made a run for the edge of the boat, "We're leaving."

Just before the both of them jumped off the boat, one more forcibly than the other, Nights called out to Al, "Looks like you win! I'd like to fight again sometime." With that, they both dove off the side of the boat, landing in a smaller boat on the water.
