The Escape

Larxene sat next to Axel, her eyes piercing towards the floor. "I don't think he would have." she mumbled, looking up at the nocturne. "He was too wrapped up in his and Xion's thing they got going..." She pulled a disgusted face at the thought of the two together; it was bad. She was younger than him... she shook her head, washing the thought from her mind.

 

Xathabat threw her trash away she looked out the window she knew sooner or later the hotel will kick her out. She sighed and walked into the hall full of rooms she looked at each room number she started to sing to herself to cheer herself up.

 

Axel eyed Larxene curiously as he wondered what she had meant by that. He had noticed other presence and sent out an assassin to go find the person. "What do you mean by that?" He hadn't the slightest clue and wanted more information. "Tell me about it,"He wondered if there was something that he didn't know about. If so he would of been digusted as well.

 

Xathabat was the only person in the halls and her voice just echoed.she got to the end of the hall to two turns she just turned back she was affraid of woundering off.

 

"Isn't it obvious?" Larxene looked up at Axel slightly confused. "He obviously has something for her, why else would he follow her like that? Especially after leaving you behind; you are his best friend, right?" She shook her head as if it were obvious. Well, it was obvious to her, so it must be obvious to her, so it must be obvious to everyone else, right?

 

Demyx backed away from Larxene and then pointed at Axel. "Don't you believe anything she says. She doesn't know what she is talking about Axel." He walked over towards Xion comforting her. "None of you know the whole story of what she has been through. I see her like a younger sister ok? If any of you have a problem with that you can smack yourselves in the face for it."

 

"oh, I know who will be getting a smack in the face..." Larxene muttered, looking up at Demyx with a deathly glare. Her mind was telling her otherwise. Look at the way he gravitates around her...
Her teeth gritted slightly. Abandoning his friends for that...

 

"Larxene? Why do you have such a problem with Xion anyway? What has she ever done to you? Is it because you're not the only female anymore?"

 

"What?" larxene exclaimed, her eyes piercing towards demyx. "What the hell do you think you are talking about? I had no problem with her, until she acted like a total brat in the basement. that's when I started to have a problem with her."

 

Xion stared at them blankly, hugging Demyx gently, her face emotionless. "Kill me then." she said tonelessly. She was sinking deeper inside herself, and couldn't seem to stop. "Just do it."

 

"No Xion," Demyx reassured her. "Don't say things like that. She might just do it and I won't let it happen." He shot a meancing glare at Larxene. "Don't even touch her."

 

Axel shook his head at this whole thing. First Larxene and Demyx were trying to turn him against one of them. It wasn't going to happen that way, though he was a little hurt that Demyx did end up forgetting about him. "You didn't even answer my question, Demyx. But it doesn't matter I already know the answer. I am glad that you kept the younger ones safe," He gazed at Xion. "No, I am just going to leave then," He walked out the door and slammed it.

 

Xion sighed, looking at the ground. She couldn't even cry...."Why is he so angry?" she asked dully.

 

Demyx swallowed a lump in his throat. "It's because of me," he sadly mentioned. "I'm going to go get him." He ran out the door, dragged him by his arm back and placed him back in the room. "Axel I already told you my reason and I'm sorry. I didn't know you were hurt. I remember you told me to look after Roxas and Xion so I did. Please don't be mad." He sat on the bed with Xion once more.

 

Xion looked up at Axel. "Be right back." she murmured to Demyx, going into the bathroom and closing the door. She felt so dead inside....what could make her come back?

 

Axel noticed that he was placed back in the room and was surprised that Demyx would do this to him. Though this meant he didn't want him to leave again. He glanced at Xion leave in the bathroom and he sighed. "She hates me, don't you get it? Why else would she want to avoid me? Its sad, because we used to be such good friends." He sighed as he looked at Demyx. "You don't know how bad that weather was for my element, I could of died out there, especially with a pierced chest, but I did tell you to keep Roxas and Xion safe,that didn't mean to forget about me," he looked away not in blame, but in a sense that he could of had his life stripped from him.

 

Xion sat on the floor, hugging her knees as the tears came flooding out of her eyes, down her cheeks. She didn't even know she could still cry. She didn't make a sound, only hid her face in her knees and let the tears fall.

 

Demyx felt really bad as he leaned his head on his friend. "Axel I'm sorry. I didn't know. I wasn't thinking. I was only trying to help Roxas and Xion," he hugged him. "Besides Xion does not hate you. She's been through enough."

 

Axel relaxed somewhat though a little stun that Demyx laid his head on him. He didn't pull away though. "I know she went through abuse from Larxene, and the other guards, but how about here? Has she been not fine? And how about Roxas?" he asked with some concern for the two of them though he hugged Demyx as well.

 

Once the tears finally stopped, she stood up, looking blankly at the mirror. The girl who looked back was very different from the girl she was used to. Her hair was long and matted, and her eyes red from crying, but blank of emotion. Her lips were dry and cracked, making her appear almost dead.
