The Escape

"Then why are going this way?" he sat on the steps. "I don't want to go in circles Axel. That will not do us any good." He could hear voices from the outside pass by and he kept his voice low. "We better be careful."

 

Larxene looked at the steps, but kept silent. Her hand still felt warm...why? Glancing towards it, she realised her hand was still held in axels. Oh. now it made sense. alot of sense.

 

Axel shrugged for a moment. "Fine, we will go your way," he replied thinking and wondering where these staircases would lead. "Being at higher levels makes more sense so when we get to the roof, but like I said we can go your way." He waited for Demyx to lead them. He had to put trust in him.

 

"I don't get it? What is with this guy. He tries to fight us and then befriend us and then fight us again," Demyx groaned as he leaned against the wall. "I don't know even know where we are going Axel. I suck at directions."

 

Roxas sat looking out over the buliding. He wanted...no needed to escape.

 

"Just ignore him Demyx, I have decided we are going up the stairs. It is better than going backwards, " He headed up the stairs still dragging Larxene with him. "Come on Demyx," he yelled.

 

Xion walked up a set of stairs, her head pounding. She still felt sick.....but she kept going up the stairs anyway, her eyes filled with determination.

 

Roxas watched people attack the gaurds and atempt to become free, all of them were distoried in second...each group got a little farther then the others.

 

Xion finally made it to the top, breathing heavily. "Roxas?..."

 

"Xion..." said Roxas he just continued looking at the ground. The wind was blowing hard now.

 

Larxene sighed, being pulled by the hand again by Axel. The warm sensation on her palm was comforting, and eased the urge to go and hit whoever that guy was who was popping up at random intervals.

 

Xion stumbled, then sat down next to Roxas. "What.....what are you doing?"

 

"I...I don't know....I just got tired of the fighting and left." said Roxas.

 

Xion reached up and took Roxas' hand shyly. "Me too." she murmured.

 

Axel finally made it up to the roof top with Larxene as he stood around observing the place below them. "Man, we are so high up, but there must be a way down without being seen."

 

"It's good ot know i'm not the only one." said Roxas, he sat down beside Xion.

 

Demyx did not like this feeling at all. He felt like he was going to be ambushed by this guy who kept disappearing and reappearing out of no where. "Fine," he groaned shaking his head and catching up with the others. "If we get out here the first thing I'm going to do is go for a swim. I miss the lakes, and rivers, and the ocean," he complained while catching up to them. "You know Axel, I hope you're not leading us into a trap," he still felt like someone was going to ambush them.

 

Larxene still embraced her hand in the warmth of axels. She looked at demyx, and smiled. "I hope not either..." she sighed, looking around. "this place is getting quiter... it's beginning to deafen me."

 

"Oh if it's to quiet for you I can always make some racket," he quirked in a joking manner. "Though the guards would hear us and then we would get caught."

 

Roxas looked at Maruku, all his wounds began to sting. "what the crap?" thought Roxas.
