The Enigmatic Knights: Darkest Before the Dawn

My cousin says that once the new PS3s come in, we'll jack one. We get so many a month, they won't realize one is missing. That is how I got my Wii. I need to be careful about getting a 360 though, since people are demanding more and more. Once the insanity dies down, we'll take one. I love my job!

ooc: Okay, I didn't know somebody liked it that much...

I am in my first class and I am dead at the desk. Drool starts to form at the edge of my mouth. The teacher sees my dull expression and asks me how big a five week embryo is? I point at the top of my index finger. The second he looks away, my head plops straight to the desk. I suddenly raise my head to see that everybody, including the teacher, is looking at me. I blush as Akina is giggling and I sink into my chair. The teacher goes on about how the embryo grows into a fetus, then a child ready for birth. The bell rings and I emerge from my seat. The teacher looks at me and signals me to come to his desk. He then tells me to get better sleep over the weekend so I don't disturb his class. I nod and head out of the door. Here I come second period...

ooc: Really? I'm writing mine, but its so...corny. Do you still have writer's block 13th?

 

ooc: Man. You guys posted a lot. 5th page already. xD Ok, here goes Hakumei's first part of the story.

Narrator: You know how some adventures are meant to be kept inside the pages of a book? Heh, well....let's just say that my life....broke those boundaries.

BOOM!!! The dark sky thundered with a few flashes of lightning there and then. Clouds would flash before the thunder came. The earth would flinch from the constant bombardment of lightning and quake in fear from thunder. It poured fast and hard over the dark city. A tall white castle would tower over the city. A castle fit for a king. Except, there was no king. There were only members of a group. A group called Organization XIII.

Near a skyscraper, a boy can be seen standing in the middle of concrete floor. A child of no memory of his past. His body is shivering from the rain and fear. He was fearing for his life.

"Huff, huff, huff....AAAAAHHH!!!! AAAAAGgghhhh....!!" he cried as tears disguised as a stream of rain as they slide down his cheek.

The childs hair, absorbing some of the water, hanged there. His bangs from both sides dripping water. The rain would hit his flesh and slide down his naked body. Pools of darkness manifested themselves around the child. One by one, shadows with yellow orbed eyes would sprout from the ground. Some would be small with antenna hanging on their forheads, almost like bangs. Some were taller, stronger, and with zigzag anttena's hanging from the back of their heads.

These creatures were armed with their natural weapons....claws. The little ones twitched from excitement while the bigger ones readied themselves to pounce. Every dark creature had the same goal as these did. That goal was to devour a heart. Though, for some reason, a swarm of these evil creatures had gathered around the boy.

"Heart.....Special.......heart....." the creatures thought in unison. They all were thinking the same. These creatures were acting on instinces. It's what they were manifested to do.

"Heart......heart.......heart...."

The boy sat there, arms around his legs while his forehead was pressed against his knees. He was crying silently as the rain contintued. The creatures were waiting patiently for some reason. The question was...why?

The chanting grew louder and stronger.

"Heart.......heart.....heart.....!!!"

Silence filled the air. All that could be heard was sound of thunder and the rain.

Click....click.....click.....

It was as if the scene had gone slow motion. The rain had already picked up its rythm.

Click...click....click...

"HEART!!!!!!!"

Suddenly the yellow eyed creatures pounced, claws at the ready. The boy screamed as he cried. The creatures came closer and closer as gravity started taking its place.

Then, out of nowhere, clear blade trails marked the boys radius. The swarm of pouncing monsters began to disintegrate. They didn't even stand a chance against the invisible rescuer. As a minute flew by, all that were left were the creatures that have been waiting their turn to pounce. It wasn't a swarm anymore. The swarm had been deminished into a small group of creatures.

When the cloud of dark fragements had been swept away by the rain, the rescuer hovered in the air. Except, the boys rescuer was nowhere to be seen. Levitating, in the boys place, was the boy himself. Key shaped blades orbited his body. The boy was hunching his back while his arms dangled. Almost like a lifeless body. His eyes showed no signs of life.

Now he was the predator. The creatures slowly crawled away from him.

"Uuuuuhhhh.........." he uttered. He lifted his head as his back became erect. His bangs concealing pieces of his eyes. All you could make out was his corrupt expression. Sort of zombie like expression.

"Get away..... Get away...." the creatures thought. Unfortunately, the boy wasn't going to let them leave unscathed. He bends his arms and legs as he recoils them into a ball like position. Then, he swiftlly shots his arms out and legs. His hands open revealing his palms. The surrounding key shaped blades shoot out towards the creatures without hesitation.

The blades pierce their bodies. They scream in agony. The creatures disintegrate and the trapped hearts join the others.

"Our hearts....are connected..."

 

ooc: Nice intro. Very...Suspenseful.
