I can find several flaws in that logic.
1. you said my spirit floated down, my spirit is part of me, ergo, something is left.
2. I could have regenerated as i was destroyed, similar to the stunt wolverine pulled.

1 spirit is not a phisical embodyment
2 there was nothing, only a shread of ground where your body would have been
