To this day I still wonder what happened to such an amazing show. Ben 10 was one of the shows that gave me hope on CN, until Onmiverse was created.

I stopped watching after the 1st series. It lost something special imo.

But yeah, they still have some good shows, it's just on the whole they're not what they used to be. imo.

It is. That's Ben 10 Onmiverse, it looks terrible compared to the others.

You should move to Eastern Europe. Ben 10 is on, every day in fact. Any store that carries kids' toys has Ben 10 merchandise. I am not exaggerating in the least. The other day I saw a kid with a toy Omnitrix gadget attached to his wrist.

I have watched more Ben 10 than I ever cared to.

They actually still play the original Ben 10 on Boomerang, but I prefer the Ben 10 Alien Force. The art was cool, the characters were a lot better, and Kevin made a great character. Once Omniverse showed up, I died as well. Soon as the previews showed I couldn't live with it anymore

Except Ben 10 wasn't really a part of my childhood so my response is mainly just

    ok

I understand, but I think a lot of criticism it gets come from people who don't understand/realize what the show is, and expect it to be another Teen Titans.
I'm not trying to convince you to like the show or anything, I'm just saying for what it is it's not bad.

I liked Ben 10 Alien Force/Ultimate Alien a lot. I didn't really like how Ben's growth during the first season of AF was debunked for the rest of the seasons though, that was pretty ridiculous even if it did make (some) sense.

Yeah, agreed. Teen Titans Go is fine for what it's going for (comedy for kids/younger teens), but there's still just a part of me that really wishes they could go back to the original cartoon. Especially since that final episode was the biggest cliffhanger/whatisgoingon I've probably seen from a cartoon in my life.

plus they show reruns of it on Boomerang so I ain't mad.

Of course. Would I rather have a silly comedy-driven Teen Titans show, or a more serious action-driven Teen Titans show?
Action obviously. Who wouldn't? But the way I look at it is that this show uses characters that I loved as a child, which already had an aspect of absurd humor in the original show, and gives me something I can laugh at and enjoy without being intrusive to that original show. It's parodying it's own show, it's taking those absurd characters and playing them up for comedy. I would rather watch a comedy with characters I have a history with than a comedy with characters I don't know or care about.
I'm probably doing a terrible job of explaining myself but hopefully someone understands.

And if nothing else it's entertaining to see all the original voice-actors back together.

But it's not just action (or comedy) that I'm looking for in a series with characters like the Teen Titans: it's plot, character arcs, rising stakes, etc.

Not saying the new series doesn't have any of that (I wouldn't know actually,) but just wanted to explain my perspective at least.

the only reason i wish they'd go back to something like the original Teen Titans series is because there's literally no show on cartoon network with any kind of direct plot or story. it's all just really silly shows that go on for 11 minutes. and those aren't bad but i feel like more kids need to be exposed to proper stories and everything that comes with it like character development and subtle moral lessons, etc

    idk
