"Yes." Frank said, reaching the door. "She's inside." He knocked on the door, hoping they would open it.

 

Shiro pushed himself off the doorframe. He opened the door.

 

Frank brought Jecht inside and put him on the couch. He then sat down in a chair and said "Man, you're heavy."

 

Shiro smiled faintly. "Jecht...do you need any medical help?" He then looked at everyone else and said, "Do any of you need anything medically?"

"Heh. We'll all heal eventually. What we need now is a plan of action, and I don't mean acting alone. We're a bunch of hanyous...and Frank. Sorry. But anyway..." Kuro trailed off.
"We have to fight together to defeat this demon that claimes Jordyn is his 'lifemate'," Shirokiba said.
Kuro grinned. "Y'know Frank...I bet if you 'claimed' Jordyn, we'd all be okay. I'm willing to leave you two alone for awh-"
"SHUT UP, KUROKIBA!" Shiro growled, and proceeded to smack his sister. He continued, "Anyway...we really should think of something. And Kuro should stay slient unless she has something helpful to say."

 

Frank blushed a lot at Kuro's comment and began to think of ways they could defeat the guy without hurting Jordyn.

Jordyn watched them and hear Kuro. She looked back at Frank. What had he meant by claimed? Jordynd stood up and walked next to Kuro.
"Can i talk to you in private?" she asked​

 

Kuro, who had been sending death glares at her brother, turned to Jordyn when she spoke.
"Sure," she said, and once they were away from the others, "What's up?"

Jordyn looked a little nervous. She looked down and back up at Kuro.
"What do you mean by 'claimed'?" she asked​

OOC: well, it's more like a cross between a manga and a book xD

OOC: Actually, I've never read either of those. I've pretty much based most of what I say about demons from stuff in InuYasha and Rosario+Vampire. xD

Once Jordyn asked hr question, Kurokiba's ears twitched, trying to register what she had said. "What...'claimed' means...? Oh boy..."
She thought for a moment, then said, "Well...canine demons refer to their partners as mates. During the...er, mating 'process', the male usually marks his mate with what we call a 'mate mark'. As...weird as this will sound, most of the time it's a bite mark near the collarbone of the female with the kanji or initials of the male between fang pricks. It's rather permanent, but it doesn't bleed and it shows that the female is off limits to any other male."
Kuro sighed. "And there you have it; mating in a nutshell. Sorry if that scarred you..."

 

Jordyn nodded softly.
"What about humans?" she asked. ​

 

Kuro shrugged. "I don't see why not; it worked for my parents. With the mark, there's also like...a scent exchange. Everyone has their own unique scent, but after mating, a small trace of the male's scent is mixed with the female's, and vice versa. Though demons with a better sense of smell pick up the change in scents quicker, any supernatural thing can probably sense some degree of change. That demon guy would most likely sense a tiny change in you if you...mate with Frank, but since you and Frank would be bound to each other, chances are he won't be able to kill either of you."
Kurokiba realized what she said and added, "Of course, I-I'm not saying you should mate with Frank. Well, you, er, could, but it's up to you two to decide."

 

jecht just stared at him
"no this burning peice of flesh i call my back is just fine WHAT DO YOU THINK?!?!"

 

Kiara folded her arms.
"OKay then, whatever you say," she said turning her face. ​

 

"look im sorry its just how i am"
he tried to stand but collapsed

 

Kiara sighed and helped him back up and set him in a chair.
"Sit down, and stay seated, you're hurt," she said. ​

 

he looked at her blushing
"he ...he said you.....like me"

 

Kiara turned her face.
"Who?" she asked. ​

 

"that guy who tried to kill you and your sis"

 

"David," she growled. He had been inside her mind. ​

 

Shiro's eyes flashed gold for a moment.
"I wasn't sure if your body was regenerating or not...sometimes interference can make healing longer."

He glanced in the direction that his sister and Jordyn had gone. "Do any of you know what Jordyn and Kuro might be discussing?"
