The Demon's Crystals

"I just feel weak, and i feel a little pain in my left leg when i step on it," she said... She couldn't really think of how the pain in her leg came to be... The power must've took energy from her muscles or something, but it felt worse than sore.

 

"I'll do what I can to help." he said.

 

She smiled...
"Thanks," she said.. For some reason, she felt useless.... She let out a slight sigh as they moved on.

 

He heard her sigh and asked "Is something wrong?"

 

"Hmm?" she asked...
"Oh.. no not really," she said softly

 

"Do you want me to carry you?" he asked. "We can go much faster that way."

 

"Whatever suits you," she said... That made her feel more useless... She wanted to at least try, but if it would get there faster, then it wouldn't matter...

 

"I'm asking you which you prefer." he said.

 

"I'd rather walk... and at least try, than rather feel useless," she muttered.

 

Kurokiba whispered to her brother, "See? I think all they need is a little nudge in the right direction."
Shiro sighed. "I suppose. But don't go overboard."

Kuro couldn't help but feel happy for Jordyn and Frank. In a world that shunned half-demons, Jordyn had found someone that could be more than a friend. Kuro had her brother, but it wasn't the same.
"Feh. What the hell do I care?" she muttered to herself.

Shirokiba spoke. "That girl...she's your sister, right Jordyn? Do you want Kuro and I to look for her and make sure she's okay?"

 

He nodded and said "Okay, we'll walk together."

 

Jordyn looked back at the siblings..
"I would greatly appreciate that," she said smiling....

 

That's means we'll be alone. he thought. Maybe I'll be able to confess my love for her.

 

Jordyn stopped walking, and shut her eyes tight, trying to breathe slowly... Her leg had hurt a little more....
"I can't walk anymore..." she admitted. She put her left hand on her left calf and rubbed it softly from the pain it created.

 

"Are you alright?" he asked. "Do you want me to carry you?"

 

She let out a slight gasp...
"Yeah.. I can't move," she said, balancing on her right leg..

 

"Alright." he said, reaching underneath her and picking her up. He then starting jogging with her in his arms.

 

She shut her eyes softly and tried to breath softly... She was a little scared..

 

He slowed down when they got close to his house. He walked to his door and opened it. "Here we are." he said.

 

The siblings nodded and then leaped into the trees. Standing on a high branch, Kuro said, "You smell anything?"

Her brother jumped to her branch. "Yes...it's faint, but I definitely smell her. Upwind from here by about..."
"Half a mile?"
Shiro nodded. "Let's go find her," he said, and the two dashed through the tree branches towards the scent.
