The Demon's Crystals

Jordyn shook her head and sat up softly.. She sighed and looked at Kiara...
"Are you okay?" she asked worried.

"I'm fine," she said, mumbling. She turned and walked away from them.. The only person that she had left was Jordyn, and she didn't want to be near her at the moment. She needed some space.

 

"Shiro wait!" Frank called. "You're our friend and you're going to leave us just because you lost control once?" He held out a hand to Jordyn, still crying a tiny bit.

 

Jordyn tried to stand up, only to almost stumble back. She took a deep breath and kept up.
"Frank... Let Shiro do what he wants.. He might need space.. I'm sure he'll come back," she said.

 

He sighed. "Alright. But what if we need him?" he asked.

 

Shiro looked away again.
"I'm sorry...but...it's not the first time. Last time this happened-"

Kuro, sitting up, cut him off by saying, "Last time that happened was when our parents died. And there were several times after that. He's scared that he'll hurt us."
She glared at her brother. "Leave. I dare you."

 

Kiara took a deep breath as she walked through the forest and into the town.. She walked through, channeling her anger so the crystal doesn't overcome her.

"I'm sure whatever he decides will be the best for us all or him," she said softly.

 

"Alright." he said. "We should head back."

 

Jordyn nodded. She tried to walk, but felt still warily. Before moving another step she looked at Frank.
"Do you think you can help me? I don't think I'm capable of walking alone just yet," she said.

 

"Sure." he said. He put her arm over his shoulder and put his arm around her waist, helping her stand.

 

She could feel most of her pressure on her legs go away.
"Thanks," she said.

 

"No problem." he said. "What are friends for?"

 

She smiled and felt herself blush.
"Oh no, i'm blushing," she thought... She looked down at the ground.
"Friends....hmm...if only it were more now," she thought to herself.

 

He saw her blushing and started blushing himself. Why is she blushing. he thought. Wait, why am I blushing too?

 

Jordyn saw him blush and she blushed even more. His hand was against her waist and she was leaning against him. Maybe thats why... She was hoping...
"Umm.. where are we going?" she asked, kind of embarrassed.

 

Shirokiba met his sister's glare. "I will. It's only for everyone's safety. Take care of yourself, Kuro. And help the others as much as you can."

Kurokiba growled. "So it's just like last time, huh? When Mom and Dad died, you ran away with your tail between your legs. Almost eight years have passed since then, and I don't think the gods will be as kind as they were to you when we found each other again. If I remember correctly, you were near death."
"Well maybe I am better of dead."
In one swift movement, Kuro grabbed her brother's collar and pulled him eye level.
"Listen," she snarled, "We are the last two of our clan. We have only each other as family. You may want to die, but we both know that we need one another to survive. Our demons listen to their opposite. If we stay together and stay strong, you'll be fine."
He nodded in agreement and Kuro pulled him to his feet. "Let's go. Jordyn and Frank are ahead of us."
They both started to walk after their friends.

 

"We're heading back to my house." he said, still blushing. "Is there a problem with that?"
